DH and I have. Hoping it will keep me motivated and kickstart my half marathon training which has been non existent so far
Am aiming for a mix of gym, run, walk and cycle to get my target of being active every day and fingers crossed it's doable

Yes, although I can't fit in running every day, it'll have to be a mix of exercise bike and running.

Went for a walk today, took 2 hours to do 5km with a whinging 4yo. Think I'll do the rest of January on my own!

CantstandmLMs · 01/01/2020 20:12

I have and started with a NY day hike. Already dreading tomorrow lol

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 01/01/2020 20:50

Where I live gets really dark really early meaning if I don’t run between 9 and 3 I have to run in the dark and sometimes I’ve got the bottle for it but not today as streets were utterly deserted and one big street lamp was out.

Onwards to tomorrow. I did manage to push a double buggy up and down the hills of my locale this afternoon so I’ll count that, and the calories expended by repeating “no you can’t have another banana” forty million times

Karcheer · 01/01/2020 21:15

I ran today, am I supposed to update something?

HerondaleDucks · 02/01/2020 08:48

Day 2 completed. Went to the gym for an hour at 5.30 this morning.
Yesterday went for a really long walk.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 02/01/2020 09:45

Day 2 done - 45 minute gym session

OP posts:
GroggyLegs · 02/01/2020 18:40

Day 2: another 2 steady miles while tea was in the oven.

@Karcheer - I don't know, you can update here if you like though?! I've never logged anything formally for RED.
@trilbydoll - I asked my 5yo if he wanted to come running tonight, I was so relieved when he changed his mind & wanted to stay at home Grin

Karcheer · 02/01/2020 18:43

@groggylegs :)

Day 1 and 2: ran 41 mins.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 02/01/2020 19:37

Happy to report I managed to do 27 of my set 30 for today as I basically shit myself as nobody was around and sprinted a fair length meaning that I mightn’t have done my time goal, I did manage a PB and narrowly avoided a change of underwear.

CantstandmLMs · 02/01/2020 19:56

Started couch to 5k back up again today Confused
Day 2 complete

trilbydoll · 02/01/2020 21:22

Day 2 done, 4.4km of intervals (just between lampposts) at times I'm sure I looked exactly like Dash from The Incredibles Grin

HerondaleDucks · 03/01/2020 08:32

Day 3 done. In the gym at 5.30 for an hour.
I also went for a mile walk last night after work.
Tomorrow I'm gonna take it easy and go to a pilates class.

Spudlet · 03/01/2020 09:33

Day three underway. Had a bad night last night but dragged myself out and ran a couple of k in the rain, better than nothing. Going to do oga in a moment, when I can drag myself off the sofa...!

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 03/01/2020 11:35

Day 3- 25 minute brisk walk to work will be it for today

OP posts:
HoundOfTheBasketballs · 03/01/2020 11:51

I'm in.

I ran 3 miles on New Year's Day, 4 miles of intervals yesterday and then 3 miles again today.
I'm aiming for a minimum of 3 miles every day, outside, whatever the weather.
Hoping to raise some money for a local mental health charity and get a half marathon PB in March.

Well done everyone so far. Smile

ShinyGiratina · 03/01/2020 11:53

Day 2: run to the pub and back about 2 miles. Yoga.

Day 3: about to do some yoga.

It's always a bit odd getting started when it's still the holidays. DH is around, but life is so unstructured. It's easier when the DCs are back in school (SAHM)

Karcheer · 03/01/2020 14:37

Day 3 : 40 min jog and a yoga class.

CantstandmLMs · 03/01/2020 17:46

Glad to see everyone giving it their all!

Day 3 for me was half hour of Bodypump (I'll progress onto the second half again soon but wanted to continue my running and not over exert...) and day 2 of Couch to 5k.

RomaineCalm · 03/01/2020 18:37

I haven't formally registered but have printed out the calendar and am going to have a go at being active every day and completing at least a mile. I quite like having something to tick off each day.

I've started C25K (again! Blush) and planning on filling the gaps with 'purposeful' walks.

Day 3 complete...

GroggyLegs · 03/01/2020 21:49

I registered for RED properly today & ordered a scarf - I love a buff!

Day 3: 1.6 miles while tea was in the oven.

I've roped my neighbour in to run tomorrow morning, so that's practically already ticked off Wink

Crocky · 03/01/2020 22:03

I’m doing it. A mix of hot yoga, yoga with Adrienne, restarting running and just signed up with a PT for one session a week 😀

Crocky · 03/01/2020 22:04

I have my t shirt and buff.

HoundOfTheBasketballs · 04/01/2020 10:21

Day 4: Done ✅ 3.5 miles round the local park.
Need to start remembering to stretch properly so I don't injure myself.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 04/01/2020 10:54

Oh lord feel rough, think I have my sinusitis back for its regular visit Hmm
Will make sure I shift somehow today
This is at least making me move whereas normally I would bin it off and stay under the duvet
