It is very nearly 2018, so here is a thread to track your exercise goals.

It doesn't matter if you are new to exercise, or merely continuing your current regime. Everyone is welcome!

Happy birthday blodynmawr - a perfectly valid reason for a day off!

I've switched back to strength for today: NMTZ

Killer Arms and Back L3.
One hour dance class later today.

OublietteBravo · 23/01/2018 19:10

I tried a different combination today: 6W6P L1 followed immediately by 6W6P L2 (I did both warm up circuits, but only the final cool down).

Killer Buns and Thighs L1 (with a friend. Lots of fun!)
I'm looking forward to my 6W6P DVD arriving Oubliette so that I can do L2 (it's not on You Tube).

SophieLion · 24/01/2018 08:13

But not sure I fancy doing L1 followed by L2 like you did!

OublietteBravo · 24/01/2018 19:28

L2 of 6W6P is much predominantly standing floor work (with very little may work), so quite different to L1. I'll be interested to see how you find it Sophie

I went back to my usual routine this evening - cardio: BFBM

2 hour dance class

Will let you know* I've done L2 Oubliette*. I do quite like standing ab exercises though. Do you not? Or am I misunderstanding your message?!

OublietteBravo · 25/01/2018 19:06

I don't mind L2 - it just seems more like a cardio circuit than an ab circuit. I think it balances L1 nicely though (which is presumably the point). Just like NMTZ (strength) balances BFBM (cardio).

I did NMTZ this evening.

All three workouts of JM's Kickbox Fastfix (which is almost an hour). The workouts are fun but I think they are a bit easier than some of her other DVDs that I have. Hence doing all 3 workouts. I used light hand weights a lot too for the punching.

I think, for me, it would be good to do one of these workouts and combine it with one of JM's other shorter (30min) DVDs.

Saying that, perhaps I should wait to see how my muscles feel tomorrow GrinGrin

It's Friday, and I seem to be developing a sore throat. So I only did a short session: 6W6P L1

Hope you're feeling better Oub.
An OK week here. Did KBFF on Monay but the rest of the week did BFBM every morning plus 10,000+ steps per day.
However, Thursday ended up being a rest day as did a 14 hr day at work due to a major deadline. Felt good to have got it out the door though, despite exercise routine going to pot for a day Smile.
Rang the changes this morning with 30DS Level 2 and aiming for a long walk later.

OublietteBravo · 27/01/2018 10:33

I'm OKish - just a bit tired. I did another short session today (6W6P L2). Might take tomorrow as a rest day.

I took yesterday as a rest day. I'm feeling better today - just done BFBM.

6W6P L2 (my DVD finally arrived)

Glad you're feeling better Oubliette.

Found L2 of 6W6P much harder than L1. The only exercise I really don't like in L1 is the side planks with leg raises at the end of each circuit - so hard.

Definitely more cardio in L2 plus my arms and legs seemed to be getting more of a workout than my abs with a lot of the exercises. I suppose to hard to find so many different exercises which work the abs. I started with heavier weights and swapped to lighter about half way through. Will definitely do it again as enjoyed it but wouldn't fancy doing it after having done L1 (like you did! You're hardcore GrinGrin)

And I've got an hour of dance later and feeling a bit wrecked!!

OublietteBravo · 30/01/2018 19:49

Funnily enough I did 6W6P L1 & L2 this evening (although I did have a break in between as I had to collect DS). I definitely agree with L2 being harder.

BFBM every day this week so far and 10,000+ steps per day.
I'm not sure I have 6w6p but I will have a hunt and try it if it's here!
Agree 50 min BFBM is definitely harder than the 3 x KBFF...

OublietteBravo · 31/01/2018 19:00

Strength: NMTZ

OP posts:
SophieLion · 01/02/2018 07:23

5.5km run (not my usual 7km as got dance class later and I didn't want my legs to be too tired for dance).

Not tried BFBM. It's all cardio, isn't it? I usually get my cardio in through running so that's why I never bought it.

OublietteBravo · 01/02/2018 19:18

Just done BFNM. Yes - it's cardio. A combination of kick boxing and jump work with a bit of abs thrown in. No weights at all.

Workout 2 (legs) of KBFF and 6W6P L2

Was tired and not motivated at all today. The workouts felt really hard so was pleased when I had finished. Got a pain in my left hip - muscle, not bone - which didn't help.
