It is very nearly 2018, so here is a thread to track your exercise goals.

It doesn't matter if you are new to exercise, or merely continuing your current regime. Everyone is welcome!

Killer Arms and Back L2 with my new (heavier) weights. Using the heavier weights really made a difference to the intensity.

Dance class later on today.

HI Oubliette and everyone else
I fell off these threads last year as we were having work done on the house which threw my routine...
Work now done and I'm back to JM videos every weekday.
I am also trying to do 10,000 steps per day.
I am doing it for feel good reasons rather than weight loss or looks!
Going OK so far this year!

SophieLion · 12/01/2018 09:33

Hello Blody and welcome! Great to have more people for inspiration and motivation.

5km run and then tennis. Bit silly to run before tennis. Don't think I'll do that again!

Welcome back blodynmawr

I've been a bit useless this week. Business travel and exercise don't seem to be terribly compatible. Unfortunately I'm away for even longer next week Sad

I did manage a session this evening: NMTZ.

Tomorrow will be a rest day. I think I've earned it!

Friday was hopeless but I have been for a long walk yesterday and today Smile.

OublietteBravo · 14/01/2018 18:52

Abs: 6W6P L1D2. Not really feeling the motivation today. But some exercise is still better than no exercise.

NMTZ
I hadn't done this workout for ages. It seemed to take so long to get through the workout! Am sure I will feel it in muscles tomorrow.

OublietteBravo · 15/01/2018 19:17

I also did NMTZ today. I reckon it's about 50 min long (actually it's a bit longer than that to get to the end of the cool down).

Only 50 mins Oubliette?! I seemed to be there for about an hour. Although went back a couple of times to check my form.

Just did a 5km run with a friend. Had forgotten we'd arranged it but it was a great start to the day in the fresh air!
Dance class later.

This morning and yesterday did JM workouts.
I have recently acquired a Fitbit too which says I have completed 10,000 steps every day since Saturday Smile.

SophieLion · 17/01/2018 07:57

An hour of tennis.

14 days.

What JM DVDs do you like Blodynmawr? I'm always interested to hear what other ones are good so I can vary my exercise routine.

Are you on your business trip Oubliette?

SophieLion · 18/01/2018 18:07

Wasn't feeling well today so no exercise Sad

Hopefully I'll be feeling better tomorrow and up for doing a Jillian DVD.

OublietteBravo · 18/01/2018 19:25

Hi SophieLion - yes I'm on a business trip. I'm doing a litigation skills course, so my trip has added revision and assessments. Which means I'm not getting around to exercising. I have the final assessment tomorrow, so I'm almost done. Although I'm staying up here an extra day and seeing my sister before heading home on Saturday. So I suspect my next exercise day will be Sunday.

NMTZ. Feeling better but not 100% so went for NMTZ because it doesn't involve too much jumping around (and yes, you're right Oubliette, it is only 50 mins excluding cool down. Just feels so much longer to me! Think I've got used to doing the shorter JM DVDs).

Good luck for your assessment Oubliette. Are you a lawyer? And enjoy your visit to your sister. Then on Sunday you can really go for it with your exercise!

15 days.

blodynmawr · 19/01/2018 08:10

Sophie I mainly do the Kickbox Fastfix ones at the moment. There are 3 workouts, 20 min each. I usually do two of them at a time but the Fitbit claims this comes to only 35 min of cardio.
I have NMTZ and BFBM too, which I do sometimes.
30DS was the original and probably the best, but I rarely go back to it these days!
I have had a good week, 10,000 steps+ every day and JM every morning Smile.

SophieLion · 19/01/2018 13:15

Hi Blody, I've actually got the Kickbox Fastfix DVD but not tried it yet. I was doing the 10 minute kickbox workout out on one of her other DVDs to introduce myself a bit to kickboxing. You've just motivated me to try the proper kickbox DVD.

Happy to hear you've had a good week exercise-wise! I should manage a 7km run tomorrow while the DCs swim.

SophieLion · 20/01/2018 13:39

Hooray - back to exercising. Cardio: BFBM.

(13/237; 10h 20min).

Sophie - I'm a patent attorney. So I deal with intellectual property law. Hence the litigation course (patent attorneys have the right of audience at the Patent Court and the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court once they've passed the course I was doing).

Squeezed in 6W6P after a very hectic day (and not over yet!).

Congrats on passing the course Oubliette Smile. I'm also a lawyer but banking (asset finance). I enjoyed IP law at uni.

SophieLion · 22/01/2018 07:32

Ripped in 30 L4, 10 min kick box workout from JM's Body Transformations and half of a workout from JM's Kickbox Fastfix (enjoyed this DVD. A fun workout so plan to start incorporating it into my exercise routine).
