I hope you can find me! I went to post in the old thread but it had reached its limit.

Here's to an energetic, fit, healthy, and strong summer ahead.

Oh Reastie, I am sorry for your loss :( I am sure the feeling fatter thing is psychosomatic. Try not to stress and don't push it.
I subbed x2 for x3 yoga today. I don't like yoga enormously and hate the million vinyasas in x2. I love x3 though, to the point and only 30 minutes...much better. Maybe I will grow to like it and be ready for longer workouts at some point.
Nutrition has not been brilliant this week. It is not good for the diet to work in a school...I have eaten too much cake this week. I definitely see a link in me choosing bad options when I haven't eaten enough at meal times.

Reastie · 02/02/2017 20:41

Disappointed I like yoga x3 too, I find a lot of it very challenging though. They are freakishly flexible! I maintain it's a yoga workout for people who have done a fair bit of yoga before though as if I did that having never done any before I can see I could easily get injured or do the moves incorrectly.

Tsotofamily · 02/02/2017 21:08

Reastie sorry for your loss Flowers hope your appointment for your injection comes through soon. Has physio recommended anything that might help/ get you back out running?

Done w1r2 of c25k today, a 10min Kettlebell workout and took dogs out for an hour.
I'm contemplating starting t25 tomo or do I leave it and start MondayHmm

Hope everyone else is ok x

Purpleraindeer · 02/02/2017 21:47

I'm sorry to hear that roastie. Hope you're all ok Flowers re getting fatter - I always feel like that on hols and it's never as bad as I fear.

Frustrated today. Work crazy. Got back late so couldn't work out and are choc biscuits. Boo. Back to the core tomorrow!

I quite like x3 yoga too. Although the bloke who does it is ridiculous. I will never be that strong and bendy.

yumyumpoppycat · 02/02/2017 22:45

Reastie sorry to hear your news Flowers sounds like a very difficult week.

With your knees though at least it sounds like a change to your running might help your knees, and very good you have discovered this now if even your walking needs looking at?

Purple, hope you get time for core tomorrow.

Well done on getting week 1 underway Tsoto, how are you finding it?

Dissapointed I looked at some reviews for p90x2 and it sounds very challenging!

Rest day for me, shaun T would be cross because I didnt stretch, tbh I dont even do the cool downs half the time but prob should start.

Tsotofamily · 03/02/2017 07:33

Yum yum - I'm really enjoying it, I thought I was going to find the second day difficult to do due to achy muscles etc but actually i didn't and it just flew by. Looking forward to day 3, I think it helps as I'm doing it with a friend who also had a baby 6 months ago and we're sort of at the same fitness lvl.
Going to start t25 on Monday as rest day falls on a Saturday which works out well for me x

Purpleraindeer · 03/02/2017 14:07

Do a stretch workout on rest days poppy?! Now that is crazy. I sometimes skip the stretches too....!

Did back to core. Ow. That's my least favourite sort of workout as it just hurts. He kept saying 'this isn't power jumps and all that craziness' and all I could think was that I wished it was!

Did you start t25 tso? I recommend starting at the weekend as i remember I was really stiff after the first few days and as it was the weekend I could sit down and rest more

am thinking about just doing the asylum programme now. Will re-evaluate on sunday after I've finished week 1

Tsotofamily · 03/02/2017 14:32

Purple - No I didn't start it today in the end going to do it Monday. I've got more chance of resting in the week on my days off work than the weekend with the dcs home

All workouts done for today - 30 mins cardio, 10 mins Kettlebell and 1 hour dog walk. So once dcs are back from dance/ football I think we will chill and have a movie night, I'll be good and have rice cakes whilst kids are eating popcorn

yumyumpoppycat · 03/02/2017 17:59

Purple - I was so rubbish at all the swimming on that workout couldnt hardly get my chest far off the floor. I don't think I am going to fit in a workout today so will defo have to do sat and sun.

Tsoto really good you are making progress with ct5k enjoy t25 on mon!

Purpleraindeer · 04/02/2017 09:26

Oh my goodness. My back is killing me this morning after back to the core yesterday. It obviously did something effective Shock.

Was going to do plyo first thing but have decided to wait until later when hopefully I can move without creaking

yumyumpoppycat · 04/02/2017 15:51

Hope your back has loosened up Purple...I like morning exercise but not when I feel like that!

Plyo done, oh my god that is hard. I used bands and ladder thing, had a go with skipping rope but really not enough room...and its mega hard even without a rope! DD1 and I had a laugh trying and failing to do split jumps...but dds were like anticheerleaders for some of it - mummy your not doooing it right your tummy needs to touch the flooooor. For the sideways jumping I had 2 rungs and even then my legs came apart so I might have to try with no ladder next time Blush Made me laugh the plyo pushups with bands as shaun T seemed to be the pretty much the only one doing it with bands. Only problem with mega hard workouts is I dont feel like I have worked out properly/effectively but actually y back is pretty sweaty so must have done something.

Planning on making healthy turkey burgers and shortbread with the kids later wish me luck, my lot hate my cooking.

Have a great sat eve everyone

Purpleraindeer · 04/02/2017 17:30

Just finished plyo. Wasnt as bad as when I did it last week, but the first 5mins are grim. I had the skipping rope and ladder but no bands. No way I could have used those. Well done for trying them poppy. Doing super hard work outs does have a benefit. Apparently getting your HR up super high for short periods and then resting (e.g. Super hard intervals) does really good things for your fitness even if at the end you don't feel as knackered as if you'd been at a lower intensity for a long period.

Grinat your anti cheerleaders poppy. And I think we've completed our asylum challenge. Well done us!

Have a good eve all Smile

Purpleraindeer · 04/02/2017 17:33

Forgot to answer your questions poppy Managed 3 boxes for the sideways jumps (although 1 direction was harder than the other - weird?). And on speed and agility I did do the box 3 mountain climbers etc but very slow and not always palms down. It's good to have moves we can't properly do as it's something to aim for Smile

Reastie · 04/02/2017 19:09

So after three days of absolutely no workouts due to family bereavement and various injuries took myself for a bike ride today. Physio has said to give it a go and see how it goes with my knee. ATM no lasting effects although did hurt a bit afterwards. Only 30 mins and either felt like I was the slowest cyclist ever going up hills at a very slow walking pace and struggling at that or very easy and not much if a workout going straight and downhill. Didn't feel like a workout though but I'm now taking anything as better than nothing. Considering I haven't cycled for years and last time I did the same short route felt like an actual workout I feel like I did pretty well for a first time but took it easy as worried about knee.

I've got my injection booked for Monday week. Crossing fingers it helps and I don't need the operation.

This is not fair. I never skip the stretches yet I'm the on the thread one out of action with THREE blinking injuries

Tsoto I make my own popcorn and don't put any toppings etc on it and eat it plain so I don't miss out on popcorn. I'm also a meanie and take my healthy homemade popcorn to the cinema for dd to eat when we go. Luckily she's too young to realise cinema stuff is much much tastier!

Purple well done on plyo and Grin to creaking. Dh creaks a lot and I've started to too. I am old!

yumyumpoppycat · 04/02/2017 19:20

Yay well done us indeed Purple {high five} Grin good luck with next week if you do the schedule...will you have to do Game day {quivers in fear}

Reastie bike ride sounds fun, I can't really ride a bike properly so that is on my bucket list of things to improve at. Hope all goes well on monday, very unfair that you have three injuries...really hope you will be able to enjoy exercise injury free before too long and stronger than ever.

disappointed101 · 04/02/2017 20:40

Well done purple on the sideways jumps! I never tried 4 boxes as I am only 5ft...I think I would injure myself! I find Shaun T really motivating.
I used the bands...makes a huge difference. They are evil man but good!
First week of x2 done. I trusted myself to do the balance exercises with the stability ball today. oMg what a core workout and really tricky. I really hope to improve and do some of the more crazy moves on Monday using these balls. I need to lose the fear a little. Fingers crosses I don't injure myself. I love all the foam rolling even though it makes the workouts longer

Tsotofamily · 04/02/2017 20:42

Well do everything to all those the exercised today, I've had a very very lazy day Blush and a naughty one, dd1 had a party this evening so other dcs and I had a KFC, then I got us one of those chocolate pizzas for after.

Purple - glad ur back is feeling better

Reastie - well done on the bike ride, hopefully it won't have effect your knee

Yum yum - I love exercising with my lot apart from my ds puts me to shame

Hoping for a better healthier day tomo Smile I'm meeting my friend to do w1r3 of c25k

disappointed101 · 04/02/2017 21:23

Good luck with c25k Tsoto! I hope to run one day

Tsotofamily · 04/02/2017 21:56

Thanks disappointed - I return back to work next week so I'm hoping that I will still stick with it and manage to find the time/energy.

Well done on completing your first week of p90x2

Purpleraindeer · 05/02/2017 15:57

Good luck back at work tso. Back at work and starting t25 in the same week - wow. That's dedication.

Hope the knee is ok post bike reastie. You should be super proud that your ride was no big deal given that you said the last time you did it it was a proper workout - that's definitely a big NSV (non scale victory)!

I did my final asylum to complete week 1 workouts. Speed and agility again. I can now do the cross leg skipping thing. Halo I may not be getting fitter, but I'm better at skipping. Am a bit horrified to see the actual programme is 6dpw. No way can I handle that so will do 5dpw - will be skipping the stretch workout for sure (sorry reastie!).

yumyumpoppycat · 05/02/2017 18:07

Well done on week 1 p90x2 - you are a thread pioneer for that workout Grin

Purple that is really amazing re crosslegged skipping thing must mean your coordination and agility has improved Star

Good luck with back to work tsoto that's a big thing.

I did 30 day shred level 1 which is a bit like my fit test. Used heavier weights 9lbs. It is still hard in places but also easy in places now and I didnt get too sweaty, also I was able to do the bicycle crunches to the end which I think is new, when I can keep up on the pushups till the end I will be v happy.

Hope your doing well Roman - slightly worried Leandro might have you exercising in a secret room like in that BBL review...;)

Tsotofamily · 05/02/2017 18:44

Thanks both, in a weird kind a way I'm kinda looking forward to going back. I love my job so spose that makes a difference and I'm only going back pt and short shifts.
Purple - I like a challenge Wink

Did w1r3 of c25k and a Kettlebell workout.

Theromanempire · 05/02/2017 20:40

GrinGrinGrin leandro is quite "intense" and has very scary eyes Confused haven't done any BBL this week though.

Well done to you all on your scary sounding workouts - anything that involves skipping ropes and ladders scare the hell out of me Blush

It has been a T25 kinda week for me - just how my schedule fell. Did Ript Circuit this morning with DH - that was always our 'oh great it is Ript Circuit' easy go-to workout. Not today - we were both knackered by the end. Think Autumn and Leandro have made us soft Grin

tsoto good luck in your return to work Smile hope it goes smoothly and you still find the energy for T25.

reastie Flowers for your loss. The bike ride sounds great and your fitness levels are clearly sky high so I don't think you will dip too much whilst on your enforced break.

disappointed101 · 05/02/2017 22:10

Today was supposed to be a rest day but my Fitbit kept beeping at me. I did some country heat on the secret channel. Bizarrely I really liked it! I have tried a few of the workouts..not taxing but fun. I like the way you do two moves, one after the other then put them together then move on. That way if you found a move tricky or sucked at it, you don't have to keep doing it

Tsotofamily · 06/02/2017 12:20

Thanks Roman

Omg either t25 got harder or my fitness level has droppedSad. I am knackered after doing the workout this morning. Think I'm going to have to rethink my plan Hmm
