I hope you can find me! I went to post in the old thread but it had reached its limit.

Here's to an energetic, fit, healthy, and strong summer ahead.

Reastie definitely not your fault - you have done absolutely everything you could to keep fitness up for your health's sake but to still follow his advice, and he is backtracking. A lot of people would have either a stopped exercising altogether - prob not great before surgery or b carried on with some weights etc. fingers crossed everything will be calm and smooth for your hospital appointment later this week - at least this is hopefully bringing you closer to getting it sorted.

yumyumpoppycat · 17/01/2017 09:17

Autumn C workout here too, Chisel agility. Took ages as I kept having to stop for the children. Dreaded paperwork and tax to get on with now. Hope everyone has a lovely morning/day

Purpleraindeer · 17/01/2017 21:33

Good luck with that tax return poppy. I hate this time of year! Sorry you had an interrupted work out. My kids do that too - but sometimes I appreciate the break!

P90x3 accelerator today. Holy plank-tastic! My upper abs are feeling it already. Has some funny donkey kicks at the end. They were easy last week when I did the workout. Turns out I wasn't doing them right - when I got the form sorted they were bloody hard. Was quite satisfying actually

yumyumpoppycat · 18/01/2017 20:10

Paperwork wasnt too bad in the end - my annual resolution to keep on top of filing is in place I think feb is my record for keeping to this plan though.

Purple I think you should keep an eye out for that Jillian opus workout as there were donkey kicks galore.

I did hammer power today which I quite like but I am not going that heavy, feels like a cardio workout in place because of all the complicated sequences towards the end - squat, clean, jerk repeat etc. Sagi loves making jokes about the mens hair - he makes tony look like a standup comdedian Grin

Hope everyone is ok

Purpleraindeer · 18/01/2017 21:29

I need to make that resolution!
Substituted p90x3 the challenge instead of isometrix tonight as felt I needed to get my press up/pull up mojo back. Oh. My. God. My arms are all floppy now. Am back down from being able to do 5 pull ups to 0. Sad

Decided to put yesterday's food into mfp to see what Cals I'm eating at the mo. Felt like a healthy day and still ended up eating 1700 Cals. I do find it depressing how little I can eat if I want to lose weight.

yumyumpoppycat · 18/01/2017 23:33

Purple that is gutting re pullups - I am sure you will be better than ever soon though. I love the dvds and can never be arsed with following routines in books but I am coming to the conclusion that if I want to improve on things like pushups and pullups I might need to tackle those separately - maybe 5 mins in the evening if I exercise in the morning alternating between push ups or pullups and keep it up regardless of program on dvds?

Feel the same about diet, but well done on a healthy day . I quite like counting cals and macros etc from time to time but it is boring to do it for too long. I still am a few lbs off my pre christmas low weight and feel conflicted about whether to go for it for a couple of weeks or so and stick to low cal and get a decent chunk of weight off, or if I should try to do the whole more food and protein thing and try to gain back some muscle.

Purpleraindeer · 19/01/2017 21:38

Felt knackered tonight and really couldn't even bothered to work out. But didn't have to rely on willpower as had changed straight into my workout stuff when I got back so changing back into normal clothes felt too lazy so felt compelled to workout. Was cvx but I did use a slightly lighter weight tho Smile. Feel shattered now

Poppy - could you reduce your Cals and inc your protein so you could lose weight and build muscle at the same time? Disclaimer - this might be me talking nonsense!

Reastie · 20/01/2017 07:00

Purple cvx was one of my nemesis workouts in p90x3 so well done on doing it. I only ever managed it with a light weight! I remember hating the challenge but after a few weeks seeing progress and feeling stronger (although I always had to use pull up assist on easiest setting...)

Yumy Tony looks like a comedian compared to sergi Shock . Wow, and I thought Tony was bad!

Well, roads too icy for a run yesterday so went out round fields for a run but the paths aren't really trodden on and the ground had frozen so it was so lumpy bumpy underfoot i kept nearly twisting my ankle and felt like I would give myself an injury. I managed 25 minutes but then forced myself to stop for fear of twisting my ankle, so very disappointing. Today I think I'll maybe do pump tracks I can do which don't flare up injury (legs, abs, biceps) and maybe a stretch video after. No workout on Wednesday as I had my MRI and so no time. Got to wait two weeks to see specialist again.

disappointed101 · 20/01/2017 08:25

Yummy, I love hammer power! Not this Christmas but the Christmas before, I treated myself to some selectable weights. Really great investment.
Purple the struggle is real with calories. I have been pretty good recently with food and was looking at getting a treat when I finished core de force. I love those waitrose bourbons from the bakery, the big one. It has 500 calories in it. Wtf? They aren't even that big, shocking how many calories are in things.
Well done on your run Reastie. I hope to start running again at some point in my life but not in winter!
I just bought Body Beast. Eek! I had an email to get it for £26 inc postage which was a good deal. I resisted the urge to get the extra discs. I did that with core de force and I don't think they are particularly worth the extra money. That's the trouble with deluxe discs...sometimes they are worth every penny, sometimes not. Anyway next week will be last week of core de force, then it will be in to p90x2. Am going to do this, the DVDs have been lying around for a year!

yumyumpoppycat · 20/01/2017 18:46

Hammer speed done today which is fairly quick and easy - bar pistol squats (hate ad can't do them properly) and pullups.

I got bodybeast for £26 too so will wait for you dissapointed if you are doing it after p90x2? I will probably do a hybrid with another workout - either t25, insanity max 30 or turbofire. I have powerblocks - they were really good for chalean extreme because chalean was using something similar and went through what weights people were using and this allowed time for changing the weight etc. Because I am trying to keep up with hammer and chisel and not writing down the weights, I end up sticking to the same weight as much as pos so they dont work quite as well for this..I guess I should just press pause more. This feels like a better workout than chalean though. Shock at 500 cal biscuit.

Purple I think I will try and do what you suggest - less likely to end in tears than eating more cals than I need and gaining fat by accident! Any suggestions of easy protein things to eat, unfortunately I am not that keen on yoghurt and defo don't like cottage cheese. Fine with eggs, lentils, cheese, meat, nuts etc though.

Hi Reastie glad your MRI is done - was it ok? Shame about your run - its beautiful when crisp and icy but defo not worth a twisted ankle.

Hope you are ok Roman if you see this.

Happy weekend everyone Grin

disappointed101 · 20/01/2017 21:04

Yummy that would be awesome to do it together! As for the protein, I tried to make pancakes out of bananas eggs and milk. I couldn't cook the bloody thing properly so ended up cooking it like scrambled eggs. I microwaved some frozen berries and added cinnamon and a little maple syrup, added the eggy mix and it was so yummy! Cross between bread and butter pudding/summer fruit pudding.

Purpleraindeer · 21/01/2017 17:20

Poppy - I eat loads of meat, fish, cheese, eggs and yoghurt. Also put protein powder in my porridge in the am. I aim for 30g protein per meal and then eat high protein bar as a snack - not a weird body builder one - I like the nature valley ones from the supermarket.

Asylum speed and agility again today. Why is skipping so hard? It is a LOT more tiring than just doing the same moves without the rope. I was really out of breath 1min into the 'warm up'.

yumyumpoppycat · 21/01/2017 19:15

Brilliant Dissapointhed - let me know when you want to start. Your eggy bread panckake sounds yum - I love that kind of thing.

Thanks for tips purple, I have pre loaded my eve cals onto MFP and it comes out at an eye watering 2600 today - even so I am under on protein by a fair bit Shock Will have to make a point of having powders I guess. I am rubbish at skipping and my ungainly jumping would make a racket but that does sound quite fun!

Total body Hammer today - it was hard, I wasnt able to lift anything like as much as the cast.

disappointed101 · 21/01/2017 19:58

Yummy I will deffo let you know! I mastered a move of core de force today....Sphinx Blasters...am so proud of myself!
Purple...speed and agility...yes! I did two rounds of Asylum...first time without a rope, thought not too bad. Second time around with rope and was like fuck me after the warm up...seriously hard to do that jump rope warm up

Reastie · 21/01/2017 20:54

Purple I always find that warm up really hard too!

Wanted a run today but boo hiss too icy out there today so made up my own little insanity workout with two sets of four moves doing a minute each, 30 second break then repeat. Did a few abs moves at the end too. Really want a run tomorrow but going to be too icy again so guess I may do an insanity workout tomorrow, but I don't really feel like it. Have to see what mood I'm in. Maybe speed 3 will be a good one but ideally need a lot of calorie burnage as it's in place of a run. Your speaking of skipping rope is making me think maybe I should just see how long I can jump rope for or alternate between jumping rope and a couple of other things and repeating until I give up. Hmm, I wonder what I could do to alternate....I could run in the garden on the grass and do 2 minutes running, 2 minutes skipping, and 2 minutes of, erm, I don't know.......squats or something....any ideas (outdoor suitable)? Ohh, maybe tuck jump related as that always kills me after about 15 seconds (although 2 minutes of that would be way too much for this weakling).

Did some pump yesterday without weights on my bar (I have a proper barbell so the bar itself is a few lbs. not heavy at all but all I can do with injury).

Yumy I'm always Shock how much calories add up when I actually weigh out my portions. I think in my head I'm eating a small portion but once I see what it actually provides it's quite shock.

yumyumpoppycat · 21/01/2017 22:16

Reastie maybe you could turn it into a HIIT workout, jog around to warm up, then 30 seconds walking 30 seconds skipping full out etc

Theromanempire · 22/01/2017 13:04

Hi everyone

Love hearing about all your different workouts - the variety you get in Beachbody is fantastic isn't it?

Am still plugging away with my hybrid schedule Smile It is mainly BBL this week which I am still trying to get used to. DH did Booty time with me yesterday although his face was like this > Hmm at the start and I am not sure Leandro is really his thing cos he likes ogling Autumn-- but he did admit he quite liked the workout.

Hope you are all having a good weekend Smile

Theromanempire · 22/01/2017 13:05

Oops epic strikethrough fail Blush

yumyumpoppycat · 22/01/2017 16:38

Grin at your husband missing autumn roman.

I did speed 2.0 this morn. Trying to keep my cals low today as no weights -planned 800 but looking closer to 1200. Protein at 83g though so pretty good considering. I bought some grenade bars in costco and they have 22g of protein, 2 g sugar so fingers crossed they taste ok.

Purpleraindeer · 22/01/2017 22:04

I'm laughing at the idea of your DH doing booty time roman!

Good work on the Cals poppy. Those protein bars sound great. Mine have loads more carbs and less protein. Might have to start shopping at Costco. Or go back to making protein balls which I did for a while. Joe wicks lean in 15 cookbook is good for high protein recipes. I cook quite a bit from it.

Warrior (p90x3) tonight. Unbelievably my arms are still a bit sore from dojng the pull up work out on weds night. It must have done me good. Am changing it up next week - will do 2 weeks from the classic schedule. Just need to decide which 2. Irrespective will be a rest day tomorrow and then total synergistics on tues as I like that one.

Purpleraindeer · 24/01/2017 21:23

Did total synergistics tonight as planned. Was strange - some exercises felt really easy and some were just ridiculously hard - it felt like quite an odd mix. I had a hilarious moment when I tried to do the pull ups with a knee lift and the assist band pinged off my feet and smacked me in the leg. idiot!

disappointed101 · 25/01/2017 10:37

Ouch purple! I've pinged myself in the head before. Bloody hurt! Looking forward to finishing core de force in a way and moving on. Hopefully I will enjoy p90x2. Workouts are longer so I might need to think more carefully about when to schedule them in.

Theromanempire · 25/01/2017 12:28

This talk of pinging assist bands reminds me of a couple of months ago when me and one of my DC was sat on one chair and my other DC had climbed behind a chair on the other side of the room. For some reason, I was holding one of the handles of the band and so my DC had grabbed the other and had stretched it across to where he was and was pretending to use it as a rope and he was 'rescuing' me and DC1.

I wasn't paying attention to what he was doing and all of a sudden, he let go of it and as it had been stretched so far it literally whizzed so fast past my face and banged into the wall behind me and my DC1 Shock Shock Omg, me and DC1 both jumped a mile and then I kept thinking about what could have happened if the handle would have hit us...I put them away after that and daren't bring them back out Grin

Anyway, that is my assist band tale Grin

Exercise talk - still plodding on with my schedule. Did T25 Dynamic core this morning which I haven't done in months and months. I really need to sort my eating out though as nothing is going to shift if I continue to eat shit Sad

yumyumpoppycat · 25/01/2017 14:47

I am struggling with eating too Roman, I want to tone up rather than lose weight but I am spending my extra cals on chocolate rather than healthy carbs etc! blood sugar diet works in terms of weightloss and a fairly balanced range of foods if you can cope with 800 cals a day.

At home today so have fit in H&C Iso strength with autumn which was challenging, and also a yoga class which I also struggled with.

Dissapointed let us know how p90x2 is as it looks intriguing.

Well done for trying banded pullups with knee lift Purple, I think I had a similar experience and now just try to pull up!

Reastie · 25/01/2017 20:36

Do you remember around Christmas when I pinged a resistant band and it slapped my stomach? It was so painful and I had a big red mark there for days. It hurt so much I was putting ice on it and took nurofen at the time Blush . The physio keeps giving me resistance band work to do and I'm now really scared of them!

Plodding along here too although will be two workouts down this week as had my hair done today and Friday I have a potential new client/job taster. Just means the yoga and core workouts get missed off but I'm still trying to burn those calories. Tomorrow the plan is for a run but it's been so icy I don't know if I'll be able to as the roads are too sskiddy to run on. I want a long run and crossing fingers but otherwise I'm aiming for TF hiit followed by a quick core something.

Did a run yesterday, my first for a week and I got awful stitch and kept having to stop. I won't if my week off has given the return of my dreaded stitch issues which over time seem to have died down.
