Need to shift my winter flab and tone up so I'm going to do the 30 day shred starting tomorrow. I will carry on running 3 x per week as usual and I will be drinking no booze for the 30 days but otherwise eating normally. I'll weigh and measure my waist in the morning and use this thread as my diary to help me stay motivated- feel free to join in if you fancy Smile

Day 5 level 3 done Smile going to try and have a super healthy week - no wine, lots of water, proper meals, lots of veg...the end is in sight!

7 days in. I lost a lb this weekdespite pre-menstrual bloating so I'm counting it as a win! I'm looking forward to taking measurements midweek to see if there's been a change.

kirinm · 04/04/2016 19:37

Day 13 level 1&2 done. Looking forward to day 16 and swapping level 1 for level 3.

FauxFox · 04/04/2016 22:39

Day 6 level 3 done - also went running with DS on his bike Confused glutton for punishment clearly!

L3 D8 done and ordered Ripped in 30 to carry on the good work with... If it's too much I can always start the Shred again!

Well done on your run faux!!

LumpySpacedPrincess · 05/04/2016 17:23

First workout since holiday, I did this as it's only 22 minutes and it doesn't repeat a move which stopped me from giving up!

Bleugh, day one done.

kirinm · 05/04/2016 19:46

Ruby - I'm planning on doing ripped in 30 after this too.

Day 14, level 1&2. Last day of level 1&2 tomorrow, woohoo!

FauxFox · 05/04/2016 21:08

Day 7 level 3 done Grin

Day 2 done, I'm back in the game! Grin

kirinm · 06/04/2016 19:52

Well done everyone!

Faux, what are your plans once you're done?

Day 15, level 1&2 done. Levels 2&3 from tomorrow.

RubySlippers77 · 06/04/2016 23:19

L3 D10 done!!!

Very excited, never got this far before!

Hoping to start Ripped in 30 tomorrow (although I have a poorly baby Sad) and really stick to the healthy eating too, as the Shred has made my post-twin babies wobbly tummy... Well, less wobbly, I wouldn't go as far as washboard yet Hmm

Well done to everyone Shredding too!

FauxFox · 07/04/2016 15:50

kinrim I think i'll probably do each shred level x1 per week after going running...I think DH might be planning to do the whole lot again so i'll probably join in with what he's doing if I am around.

Going to do Day 8 level 3 today and Day 9 tomorrow but Day 10 will have to wait until Sunday...Easter hols chaos has meant i've had a day off here and there in Level 3 but it probably doesn't matter too much. I am a bit scared of Ripped in 30 but can imagine moving on to that sometime if DH wants to Grin

I skipped yesterday, my legs were really sore for some reason. Planning level 1 day 10 tonight and on to level 2 tomorrow

kirinm · 09/04/2016 12:01

Day 16 - level 2&3. I sweat buckets during level 3. It's a different sort of hard I guess. More strength than cardio. Burnt more calories too.

RubySlippers77 · 10/04/2016 08:18

I did the first day of Ripped in 30 yesterday... All of me hurts Shock

Rinceoir · 10/04/2016 08:48

I'm injured, seems I have sprained a ligament by my knee. Haven't done any exercise since Tuesday but it's getting worse (I do rack up 10-15k steps on a day at work though so not really been properly resting). So I'm out for a while. Hopefully will be able to start again next week

kirinm · 10/04/2016 09:39

Ruby - did you find it hard? I've managed to erase it from my memory but have vague recollections of week 2 or 3 making be wavy to give up exercise!

kirinm · 10/04/2016 11:09

Day 17 - levels 2&3 done.

standingonlego · 10/04/2016 12:32

Can I join you? Getting back on the shredding campaign in a couple of days alongside my running. I want to have made some tangible fitness and weight progress before the summer!

FauxFox · 10/04/2016 13:12

I missed a couple of days Blush day 8 level 3 and a run done this morning though so back to it!

RubySlippers77 · 10/04/2016 13:56

kirinm, I found it harder than the Shred but not so much that I couldn't cope with it - at the lower level anyway :-)

I liked the Shred better though, this one seemed more shouty!

LumpySpacedPrincess · 10/04/2016 15:51

I missed Friday as my Period Of Doom arrived.

Managed yesterday and today which puts me at Day 4.

zippyswife · 10/04/2016 21:46

Hi can I join.

I've just had dc3 (9 weeks ago) and I'm carrying an extra 2 stone so im throwing myself into this.

i started yesterday. Am I right that you do level 1 for 10 days then level 2 for 10 etc? I'm using 1kg weights and whilst I'm struggling with the first strength excercise with them I'm not achey at all yet. In fact alrgough I was a bit out of breath during it I didn't find it too bad. To the point that I'm worried I'm not doing it properly. I'm after maximum results (I need to fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes) should I be upping the weights? It's the strength part I find the toughest and am doing the modified press ups.

kirinm · 11/04/2016 09:09

The aim is to do each level for 10 days I think. I would up your weights if you aren't struggling at all. If you aren't getting out of breath you could also hold your weights whilst doing some of the cardio (that happens in level 3 anyway).

zippyswife · 11/04/2016 14:03

Thanks for the advice. I was doing boot camps a year or so ago which I suppose I'm comparing it to. That was really tough- they really beast you and I guess this is the same. I certainly struggle with the first couple of minutes. It's the strength with I find a killer so far so I'm thinking if I upped the weights is probably give up as it would tip me over the edge!!
