Need to shift my winter flab and tone up so I'm going to do the 30 day shred starting tomorrow. I will carry on running 3 x per week as usual and I will be drinking no booze for the 30 days but otherwise eating normally. I'll weigh and measure my waist in the morning and use this thread as my diary to help me stay motivated- feel free to join in if you fancy Smile

Did level 2 Day 5 last night - all good, definitely getting easier. Haven't been eating very healthily but am going to do better today; Apricot porridge, Avocado on toast for lunch and salmon with chinese veg for dinner is the plan!

Keep going everyone - i'm half way through the 30 days already! We can do it!

Well done for getting to halfway Faux, and to everyone else for staying motivated (or finding the motivation once it's lost!).

Lumpy I decided to also try that first workout you posted. Had initially planned on doing Davina now that Shred is over. But wow, am I glad I did that one! The time passed so quickly, and I really felt that I had worked so hard. It is so intense on the legs, there were a few points I just had to stop for a few moments, as I would have collapsed otherwise! Interestingly, after doing the Shred (any level), I recovered quite quickly. With this, I felt a little bit ill for a good while afterwards! Must be pushing my body harder than I did with the Shred. Thanks for the tip, will be trying to do that 3-4 days a week now.

Another day done, day 17 I think? I wore one of my dresses to work which I can only wear when my tummy is flat! Well, flatter...Grin

I feel stronger and my body is pretty damn toned, I just need to sort my diet out.

I have a really healthy diet, alongside a really unhealthy one.

Oh well, Rome wasn't built in a day...

LumpySpacedPrincess · 23/03/2016 21:48

Lozza, it really works the legs doesn't it, just by putting the weight in the right place.

I did it tonight and it still hurts, but my goodness my butt is so toned! I'm need to research and see what else she does.

I think I'm a bit late to join this thread but I've just re- started the 30DS. I did it a year or so ago but do 2 levels about 5 times a week. Had really decent results and moved on to ripped in 30 afterwards. I don't remember huge amounts about that but it was hard but I did finish that too. I think that's my plan for now.

I did day 6 of level 1&2 yesterday. Will aim to do it everyday over the Easter break. I'll do 15 days of level 1&2 and then 15 days of levels 2&3.

RubySlippers77 · 24/03/2016 23:30

Just found this thread, I've just done L2 D8 of the Shred, furthest I've ever got!! I joined Slimming World a few weeks ago to lose the post-baby weight (twins are now nearly 6 months old!), and dug out the Shred DVD too - I really think it's helped. I've lost just over a stone Grin but have a stone and a half to go Confused

Thanks for the tips about the YouTube videos, I'll give those a try too. As well as the Shred I'm doing a section of Davina's Fit in 15 every day, not as challenging but every little helps! My local library doesn't have a great selection of fitness DVDs, otherwise I could try out some more.

Kirinm - was Ripped in 30 a lot harder than the Shred?!

kirinm · 25/03/2016 08:07

Ruby slippers - yes! I didn't want to say but its second level was so hard it demotivated me but I was working to a tight deadline with a holiday so was forcing myself to do several levels at a time every day. But yes, much harder.

Day 8 on level 2 done Smile

Day 7 done and I did all 3 levels. It's really the only exercise I get at the moment hence trying to do a few levels at a time.

AtticusFlinch · 26/03/2016 13:00

Hope everyone's doing well so far Smile I'm in awe at your ability to do more than one level at a time, kirinm, I'm normally worn out by the end of the twenty minutes!

kirinm · 26/03/2016 13:26

Atticus - it kills me but I sit at a desk all day so I've got to really push myself. I got a Fitbit for my birthday and was shocked at how little I move during the day.

Day 8 - levels 1&2 done. :)

LumpySpacedPrincess · 26/03/2016 15:16

Right, I'm off the thread for 7 days as i am in deepest darkest Dorset living on seafood and doughnuts. I'll start again when I return, good luck everyone! Smile

FauxFox · 27/03/2016 08:46

Have a great time lumpy Smile did day 9 on level 2 yesterday, thinking about getting out for a run before it starts raining...

OP posts:
FauxFox · 27/03/2016 10:49

I went for a run (and got hailed on Hmm) and did day 10 level 2 so...

Results at the end of level 2:
Weight - 10st2 (another 1lb off making 5lb total)
Waist - still 27"

Happy with that Smile I have not been eating at all healthily this past week (too much choc and wine Blush) will get back on the healthy food tomorrow and make an effort to get under 10st by the end of level 3!

Day 9 level 1&2 done. Definitely getting stronger.

AtticusFlinch · 27/03/2016 21:22

Enjoy Dorset, Lumpy! Wink

RubySlippers77 · 28/03/2016 00:29

Have a lovely time in Dorset Lumpy, I think we're going there for our hols this year!

RubySlippers77 · 28/03/2016 00:30

L2 D10 done today, don't think it made up for scoffing lots of chocolate though Hmm

RubySlippers77 · 28/03/2016 00:31

I'm turning into an exercise DVD convert - officially further on with the Shred than I've ever got before! - has anyone tried this? I like the idea of following a program, hopefully would help me shed the last pesky stone:

FauxFox · 28/03/2016 14:53

Level 3 day 1 done - was a bit confused by some moves so I might watch it again before I do it tomorrow to make sure I've got the right idea! So Malcoordinated Blush

LumpySpacedPrincess · 28/03/2016 19:53

Well done everyone, you're doing so well! I'm gonna jump right back in when I get back

RubySlippers77 · 29/03/2016 11:31

I didn't completely get level 3 either faux, some of it I didn't find as challenging as level 2... I did stick with Anita but perhaps I wasn't doing some of the moves correctly? I have very limited time to watch though as our TV is dominated by two babies who get grumpy without lots of Balamory Confused

FauxFox · 29/03/2016 19:50

Day 2 level 3 done...I was reluctant to say the least but I did it...I have carpet burn on my elbows from the weird plank things Hmm
