Need to shift my winter flab and tone up so I'm going to do the 30 day shred starting tomorrow. I will carry on running 3 x per week as usual and I will be drinking no booze for the 30 days but otherwise eating normally. I'll weigh and measure my waist in the morning and use this thread as my diary to help me stay motivated- feel free to join in if you fancy Smile

Did a level two today, I've added in some harder stomach exercises as I find them a bit easy and my tummy sure could do with it! Grin

Well done everyone!

FauxFox · 08/03/2016 20:45

Well done everyone Smile Day 2 done here too...see you tomorrow!

Congrats everyone on getting it done!

My eating habits are starting to slide a little, I had been really good for the first week or so, hardly snacking, low cal meals, etc. Still eating much much better than I was previously, due to sweet stuff being off the menu for lent, but have snacked unnecessarily this evening, and not even on anything particularly good for me. Will try and get back on it tomorrow.

Day 3:

Morning all! So stormy this morning Confused at least you can shred inside! Today I am having porridge for breakfast, soup for lunch and veggie curry for dinner. Fruit and nuts for snacks. Will be shredding this evening as usual.

Hope you all have a lovely day Smile

L1 D1 done. So much harder than the Davina workout I've been doing the past few months.

DutchMummy88 · 09/03/2016 14:23

Well done mmack! It's pretty intense right?!

I've just done mine for the day, gonna stay in my gym kit cause it makes me feel super sporty and healthy haha.

Had veggie+egg fry up for breakfast - soup + rye bread for lunch - chicken ramen for dinner. Fruit and crackers for snacks.

So nice to have done it already, baby is at nursery so chill time for me!

LumpySpacedPrincess · 09/03/2016 20:43

Another level 2 done, hurrah!

Had 2 hobnobs at break, wrap for lunch, 2 slices of pizza and half a box of maltesers. Oh well, Rome wasn't built in a day! Grin

AtticusFlinch · 09/03/2016 22:10

Couldn't do mine today as my leg was killing me - managed to get in some rollerskating though so day not completely wasted. Hopefully after some resting I'll be ready for Day 2 tomorrow!

FauxFox · 09/03/2016 22:47

Did day 3 earlier - was ok, I wasn't that keen at the start but got into it and it's only 20 mins so...

Sleeping so well after evening exercise good night shredders Smile

Day 2 done - thought it best to get through it before I went out for the day, so I can't put it off later! Just another 28 days to go... Wink

mmack · 10/03/2016 11:10

L1 D2 done. I used 2kg weights yesterday and my arms are so sore today it even hurt them to star jump. I used the 1kg ones today.

FauxFox · 10/03/2016 13:38

Hi peeps, L1 D4 here - will be shredding this eve but went for a run this morning as it was so nice and sunny Smile

Food today is yoghurt & banana & seeds for breakfast, soup and bread for lunch and chicken salad with onion rings for dinner (cheese & grapes/nuts for snacks).

Quite enjoying being all healthy and active this week Shock

Oh dear, went out for some drinks last night and feeling rather shit for it today! Very tempted to skip tonight's work out but I think I'm going to brave it as soon as the baby is in bed. I know I will feel so happy if I do it

Lozzapops · 10/03/2016 18:06

Well done everyone! God, 2kg weights would finish me off!

I did L3 D1 this morning before work, as my husband was doing the nursery drop off = no toddler nipping at my ankles. Feel so relieved to have done it and can now chill this evening. Don't want to put anyone off, but it was hard work! So glad for a change though, I had got bored of level 2.

AtticusFlinch · 10/03/2016 18:29

What size weights do you guys use? Feel like I'm overdoing it a bit on the strength. I have 2kg weights for the whole thing except for the final strength set in Circuit 3 (anterior raise with side lunge) where I have to do it with cans of soup instead because my arms are completely done. Wink I think I could do with a set of 1 or 1.5kg weights to swap in and out.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 10/03/2016 18:30

I'm using 4 kg weights, it hurts but it works!

I did today.

It's 30 minutes, as hard and effective as level 3 shred, but less joint impact, which I have to be careful about.

FauxFox · 10/03/2016 20:57

My weights are a puny 1k but my arms are not very strong so it suits me...Day 4 done Grin

See you tomorrow!

Day 5

Will be shredding this evening - good luck today everyone! Planning to eat porridge for breakfast/cheese salad for lunch/vegetarian moussaka for dinner, usual nuts and fruit for snacks.

Need to bake a cake for tomorrow too so probably cooks treats scraping the bowl if I can fight the kids off! Grin

LumpySpacedPrincess · 11/03/2016 18:32

Cake scrapings are the best!!!!

I completed day 5, I did the above workout again but will probably shred tomorrow.

I'm also doing the 5 minute plank challange every day at work with my colleagues, it's ace!

FauxFox · 11/03/2016 20:52

Day 5 done - off to shower then maybe a cheeky Wine with dinner as i've done so well this week Wink

Tomorrow DD is determined to join in (she's 10) so will shred in the morning and let her have a go too!

DutchMummy88 · 11/03/2016 21:14

Day 5 done pfff! Got myself some 2 kg weight so feel like I'm doing it very proper now :)

Well done everyone!

AtticusFlinch · 11/03/2016 21:54

Day 3 finally done! Managed to get hold of some 1kg weights to swap in for one of the final strength sets - feels like I'm building up a little arm muscle though so I have high hopes of being able to do the whole thing with 2kg weights by the end of Level 1. Smile

I was doing well with food until I decided to eat a supermarket madeira cake for tea instead of the healthy meal I had in the fridge. Not much difference in calorie content, but I really felt it when doing the strength exercises and felt like I was about to pass out from lack of endurance. Grin Lesson learned!
