Just putting a marker down for a new thread for the Shreddees! All welcome, and it's not limited to the Shred - all those working through any of JM's various forms of torture are very welcome.

Last night was not too bad, Elphaba. I was awoken at 2am by Good Baby wanting fed, 3am by ANST climbing into my bed, 4am by ANST waking me up to say she had a dirty nappy, 5am by Good Baby wanting fed again and to come into my bed too, 6.40 by DH's alarm, 6.50 by DH's alarm and 7.20 by DH kissing me goodbye, BUT both DC stayed asleep until 7.50 so it was a good night.

(Apologies to everyone else for thread-hijack)

jemma2609 · 03/02/2015 21:49

30DS and RI30 done. Alternating R130 workouts with yoga meltdown and have just bought 'hard body' though those are 45 mins each so weekends only I suspect. Wink Thanks to those posting tips re lower back and abs-v helpful

Bumblebzz · 03/02/2015 22:04

Stupid question no doubt, but when are you supposed to switch levels in 30DS or is it totally arbitrary and up to each individual? Or is it she you no longer do any modifications? I'm only on L1D3 but don't imagine I'll be doing proper press ups for ages, am doing the modified version and even they hurt..

JustOneMoreGin · 03/02/2015 23:06

L2, D5 (I think) done tonight along with my squat challenge. My legs are aching as I type!

JustOneMoreGin · 03/02/2015 23:08

bumble my understanding is you do 10 days at level 1, 10 days level 2 and then the 'last' 10 on level 3. Then you'll have completed the 30 DS. I plan to carry on once I've done all 30 days, although probably just two or three times a week.

ImogenQuy · 04/02/2015 07:06

RI30 L3 D4. Unusually for me it's my legs that are hurting today. Delicious, she does one-legged burpees in Killer Abs as well. I did think "you cannot be serious" the first time I tried it. (Then she got onto the one-armed, one-legged plank and the clapping mountain climbers and the one-legged burpees started to look quite reasonable...)

Has anyone else noticed that Bashira's definitely phoning it in in some parts of Ripped?

Cheddar, hope your water gets sorted soon.

Morning. Looks like I'm not the only one who dropped off the last thread.

I'm back after 10 days break (on L1D2) and I decided to start from zero. This is my 4th go at 30DSL1 (and I've only ever got to level 2 once).

bumble I (attempt to) do 10 days at each level. But i think you're supposed to move on if you start breezing through. (Ha ha ha)

dun1urkin I try and do every day but probably end up doing 6 a week. I'm not really watching my diet though and don't do any other exercise.

Tangoandcreditcards · 04/02/2015 07:34

Also imogen on some days I definitely find that either/both my balance and my stamina have a day off. I exercise as soon as I wake up so I assume it's how much sleep I've had/how hydrated I am.

Sarahlouboo · 04/02/2015 10:56

Book marking my place on the new thread. Did Killer Abs Level 1 last night, didn't think much to it, can't settle on one work out at the moment and it is starting to do my head in!

ErrolTheDragon · 04/02/2015 13:52

Arggh, just found the feb thread and already 35 (unread) posts in! Ri30L2D2 done, as missed yesterday due to work crisis.

ErrolTheDragon · 04/02/2015 17:48

Just scanned through the thread...

dun 'when does it get easier' ... most people find it does after the first 3-4 days.

bumble as others have said, about 10 days per level but you can alter that if you want. You absolutely do not have to be able to do every move on a level 'properly' before moving on - I still can't do full pressups (let alone some of the deviant variations in other DVDs!)

CheshirePanda · 04/02/2015 20:38

Hello all
Welcome to the new February joiners. It's good to have fresh blood on the thread. After a couple of days off, I tried to start L3 of 30DS today, only to find its not on you tube Sad
I will have to buy the DVD! I've come this far so can't stop now. Instead I did D11 (eleven!) of L2.

I'm v impressed with those of you with non sleeping children and illnesses still plugging away. I will try to remember this when lack of enthusiasm strikes. Flowers to cheddar and elphaba

AtAt · 04/02/2015 21:14

I was on the earlier thread, but have nc.
Day 3 of Level 3 complete. My legs hurt Smile

ImogenQuy · 05/02/2015 07:08

Yoga Inferno L1 D5 done. Not a good day. The jumping lunges didn't really happen.

Tango, why not start on L2 this time (or at any rate just do a day or two of L1 before moving on to it)? I think L1 is inherently quite boring anyway, and anything would get boring if you'd done it twenty times already. I find boredom is the enemy and I need to keep doing something different or I get really fed up. When I'm fed up I'm much less inclined to get up and exercise.

Sarahlou, don't write off Killer Abs till you've tried levels 2 and 3 - L1 is quite easy and slightly bitty.

Thanks to those in plague-infested houses - hope things are getting better. I remember having a baby with a cold and it was diabolical. (Now I have a melodramatic four-year-old who says "Mummy, I'm so ill" at the slightest sniffle, but at least the sleep doesn't get disrupted any more.)

Tangoandcreditcards · 05/02/2015 08:43

imogen I'm inclined to agree after D3 of L1 this morning. Maybe I'll go up to 6 (as I did 4 a fortnight ago).

I just need to build up my stamina and strength a wee bit more before I can move on. I would really struggle with L2 right now, need to be able to feel some tension in my tummy before I can do it!

ElphabaTheGreen · 05/02/2015 09:21

30DS L3D7 DONE!

MagpieCursedTea · 05/02/2015 10:49

I'm new to the shred and did my first day yesterday. Aching a lot today but going to do it again this afternoon. I've got about 7 stone to lose so it's the start of a very long journey for me!

Happypiglet · 05/02/2015 10:49

30DS L2 D5 done.... I find this level particularly hard. Cardio on circuit 2 (oblique twists) and strength on circuit 3 (chair squats and v raises) plus those awful static squats in the first circuit. Oh well half way through it! I will get it done in time for half term when it will all go pear shaped for a week as I entertain the three DC!

DeliciousIrony · 05/02/2015 10:53

Well done Elphaba Grin Nearly done!

Extreme Shed L2 done yesterday...I am still quite sore from Killer Buns and Thighs, and now even more so. Don't think I can manage NMTZ today, will try and do either BFBM or 6W6P later.

I am gutted that all of Ri30 seems to have been removed from youtube...the only ones that are there aren't available in this country. I'm hoping to (finally) start a new job soon, so I would like shorter workouts that might be more achievable for work days. Maybe I should just invest in a cheap DVD player to play Ripepd on.

Imogen, I'm quivering at the thought of one-legged/armed plank and clapping mountain climbers! I think mountain climbers might be one of my least favourite moves, but they seem to get in everywhere.

DarkNavyBlue · 05/02/2015 10:59

Been doing 6 week 6 pack for about a week, but if I'm honest, I think Jillian would accuse me of 'phoning it in'.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 05/02/2015 11:00

Cheshire, I've seen Level 3 of Shred on YouTube! I looked mid-Jan to see if it was there or if i'd have to buy the DVD for the third time. I remember laughing because Level 1 had 20 million hits, Level 2 had 2 million, and Level 3 had about 40,000.

Day 3 of No Water. I have decided that I will Shred tonight anyway and do a kettle sponge bath afterwards. Unless of course the water is back on by tonight.

AtAt · 05/02/2015 11:49

happy I dislike level 2 most out of all of them, feels like too much cardio.

CheshirePanda · 05/02/2015 17:49

Hi all

Success....I have found L3 of 30DS on a random (Turkish?) Internet page. I did it today and not too bad I thought. Quite low impact vs L2 I reckon, except the jumping lunges, which I modified. I am going to re-read advice in the Jan thread re the risky abs moves.

Cheddar I thought I'd seen it too, sometime over Xmas perhaps. Funny about the hits tho! Perhaps it's been taken down...maybe Jillian is down to her last £100m and needs to sell more DVDs? So sorry about your continuing water situation. Not much fun. Can you go for a swim/sauna or something at the local pool afterwards?

If anyone wants the link to L3 its www.izlesene.com/video/jillian-michaels-30-day-shred-level-3/7259991

DeliciousIrony · 05/02/2015 18:00

At first I thought by "No Water" you meant you were on a bizarre water-free diet or something, Cheddar. Which would have been worrying. How awful not to have any water, I greatly admire your shred determination!

i am quite liking 6W6P, I have to say (or at least L1 - not advanced onto L2 yet). She really flies through the moves, no messing about - two circuits, bing bang boom and you're done in half an hour. She also seems to actually do more of the moves herself, which I find useful as you get more shots of all three women - beginner, intermediate and advanced versions of moves.

MagpieCursedTea · 05/02/2015 18:09

I thought "no water" was some new diet/exercise craze at first too cheddar! Hope it gets sorted soon!

I've just finished my second day. I was so achey I didn't think I'd manage so feeling proud but mostly knackered
