Just putting a marker down for a new thread for the Shreddees! All welcome, and it's not limited to the Shred - all those working through any of JM's various forms of torture are very welcome.

Three days off with a cold so I did L1D5 last night & have just done D6. On the strength of another MN thread, I have ordered a couple of Davina DVDs so will be interested to see how I find them.

MagpieCursedTea · 28/02/2015 11:52

L2D9 complete!

I'm looking forward to level 2 being over but I might regret that when I find out what level 3 has in store. I'm sure I remember someone in here saying something about jumping jacks with hand weights?

MsRaspberryJam · 28/02/2015 13:58

I did my exercise this morning. Got sucked in by the pep talk, again!

Level three is not as much harder than level two as level two is from level one, Magpie. Personally, I think level three is the most fun. But yes, there is one thirty second bit of star jumps with weights.

Does anyone know if the shred and other JM DVDs are ok to do when pregnant? ThanksSmile

MagpieCursedTea · 28/02/2015 20:10

I think the general advice with exercise and pregnancy is that you can continue with the level of exercise you were doing pre pregnancy as long as you feel comfortable. It depends on individual circumstances though and it's best to check with your midwife if you're concerned.
Are you pregnant then AtAt? Congratulations Thanks

AtAt · 28/02/2015 20:27

Looks like Grin. It explains how tired I've been, and the lack of energy. I don't want all my hard work to go to waste though, so want to try and carry on as much as I can.
I may do some of the easier circuits, not sure about all the planks and a bump.....

AtAt · 28/02/2015 20:37

Thank you magpie for the congratulationsSmile

ErrolTheDragon · 28/02/2015 22:27

FlowersAtAt. I'm not sure - apart from anything else you need to be careful because of your ligaments getting stretchier. See how it goes - if your body hints that it might not like something, listen to it!

Dancingwitch · 28/02/2015 22:34

L1D7 done. I'm not sure what I had done when I turned off the DVD last night but it went straight into L2. For a moment, I was tempted to do L2 but decided I wasn't brave enough to face it tonight.

AtAt · 01/03/2015 06:33

Will do Errol I was jogging regularly before I did the shred, so I may start doing that again if the weather starts getting a bit warmer.

MagpieCursedTea · 01/03/2015 18:24

L2D10 complete!!
Managed to get through plank twists without stopping so I'm feeling stupidly proud. Going to have my rest day or two then move onto level 3 Grin

OctonautsAgain · 01/03/2015 21:26

L3 D10 finally done! I feel a bit sad, what do I do now?? Was thinking of rotating through the 3 levels?

I'm definitely much fitter (not hard as I started utterly inactive) but still got a long way to go in terms of weight loss and body shape.

ErrolTheDragon · 01/03/2015 22:30

octonauts - rotating through the levels isn't a bad idea or you could try ri30 or one of the other DVDs. Btw we need a March thread - I'm just trying out the app for the first time and I can't see how to start a new one.

blodynmawr · 02/03/2015 07:33

Finished 30DS L3 last week so have moved onto NMTZ over the weekend.
What is the recommended cardio DVD to do alongside?

OctonautsAgain · 02/03/2015 08:16

Thanks Errol, will see how I go with rotating the levels, and see if I can find any of the other routines on YouTube before I shell out. I very much like the short workouts of Shred, are her other DVDs similar?

ErrolTheDragon · 02/03/2015 09:16

Oct - Ripped in 30 is very similar format, starts maybe a bit easier than shred L3 and then gets a bit harder.

Blod - I find NMTZ gets me going enough alone! Grin But I think its cardio companion is Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism, I've never tried it but there are people on the thread doing it.

Right, I need to get downstairs and start moving - Ri30L4 awaits!

OctonautsAgain · 02/03/2015 17:12

Thanks Errol. I've just done L1 again and found it surprisingly challenging! Clearly I'm a bit of a goldfish!

ErrolTheDragon · 02/03/2015 17:19

OK, no-one else has started a march thread, and I'm back on my laptop so I'll spin one out in a mo...

ErrolTheDragon · 02/03/2015 17:30

New March thread here - come on over! Smile
