Oh my gosh that is a CUTE little marshal!

OhOne I tried to type 'phone' on my ipad today and it autocorrected to you!
Hmmm, maybe I should run more than I chat about running???

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 14/08/2014 21:45

Awww. baby marshal!!! Cute! Grin

It's Friday!!! I am very excited, back at parkrun again tomorrow, and hoping to break under 45 minutes this week, although if I stay at 45.20 I'll be happy.

Must remember NOT to power up the hill though, it nearly killed me last week!

MelanieCheeks · 15/08/2014 10:25

A group of us from Wallace will be touring to Victoria, Belfast this Saturday. I'm hoping to get under 30.

Standingonlego · 15/08/2014 20:21

We have no babysitting this week so DH and I will be having a "discussion" about who runs now he has caught the parkrun bug..."I need to get under 25mins he says..he ran 25.04 last week Envy

i have to run as i need to keep up the get to 50 campaign so i will win!

Standingonlego · 15/08/2014 20:22

Did you all see the Eddie Izzard video - it was brill :)

thenightsky · 15/08/2014 20:29

eddie izzard is doing parkrun??? link to video please. I love Eddie.

cinnamongreyhound · 15/08/2014 21:03

That should be it thenightsky. I like the continent but thought it was a bit cheesy for me!

Where are you now Standingonlego? Mine will be 47 tomorrow :)

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 15/08/2014 21:45

I am still aiming for Sheringham tomorrow (though it will need a early start - an hour's drive + briefing starts at 08:50 Shock).

Blatherskite · 15/08/2014 21:57

The Eddie video is 2 of my favourite things in one place, I love it :)

I'm going to do Buckingham for the 2nd time officially (3rd if you count the trial run) to meet some friends. My PB is currently at Buckingham but I'm not sure I'm feeling up to beating that tomorrow. It'll be my 80th parkrun!!

Standingonlego · 16/08/2014 10:46

Morning parkrunning posse. parkrun 47 done :)

Hope everyone had a good run this morning, the sun was shining for us here in Northampton and it was a pleasure to be out and about.

ThursdayLast · 16/08/2014 10:51

Morning lego

We had a lovely busy parkrun, lots of parkrun tourists and their families.
I took the staffy, in part to stop me from going at it too hard like normal. It worked, we came in around 32mins. If anyone was at Lanhydrock today, I was the lady who made her dig carry his own poo around the course!

cinnamongreyhound · 16/08/2014 11:35

47 for me too Standingonlego, aiming for 50 on 13th sept :)

Ours was sunny and breezy today and I was very slow :( glad I've run anyway, just feel like my lungs can't get enough oxygen into them!!

HalleLouja · 16/08/2014 15:24

Cinnamon look after yourself. Remember you are pregnant and your body isn't going to work like it did before.

I did the run faster than my first run but slower than my pb last week. That was my third run. It was a nice run and I dragged my friend along too.

LollipopViolet · 16/08/2014 16:52

Parkrun number 6 done today, and my event's 150th run :)

46.35, nearly back to square one :( Not sure why, brain wanted to go, body said no :(

Ended up popping to the walk-in centre after, past two weeks I've felt more breathless during the run, so wanted to rule out anything sinister. Nice doctor there said that chances are it's just having a low tolerance for vigorous exercise, which should go away as I keep going. He said if I ever felt wheezy, see my own GP for a trial of treatment for exercise induced asthma.

So for once in my life, I was glad to be told I was just unfit! Grin

Volunteering next week, and then a friend is getting married the week after, so might be a bit breathless again the next time I run haha!

We had 170 today Shock

Me and the dog came 122 Shock

Worst result ever!

245 at Victoria today! Partly because the nearest run was cancelled, so it was absorbing some of those regulars. Went well, and the buns were the best I've had.

Annietheacrobat · 16/08/2014 18:14

This thread finally makes sense. Did my first park run today in just over 27 mins. Got a feeling they are going to be come quite addictive.

Well done Annie! Fab time!

cinnamongreyhound · 16/08/2014 19:16

Well done annietheacrobat!

Don't worry Hallelouja, I'm being sensible! Didn't push it but feel like I need to explain to my running buddies why I'm going backwards. I'm surprised how much difference it's made considering there's nothing to see and the baby is about the size of a grain of rice! Thanks for your concern and yay for taking your friend.

Don't worry LollipopViolet, not every run can be better than the last :)

LollipopViolet · 16/08/2014 20:25

Very true, cinnamon :) The constant PB's were nice though :)

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 16/08/2014 21:22

Evening all!

I made it to Sheringham, very friendly bunch and lovely course. I took it slow and steady, partly because it was mostly trail and undulating, and partly because I've had very little sleep for the last three nights - we've all had a tummy bug, and to top it off I was up coughing most of last night. But I managed to jog run all the way round, including up the hill at the end Smile.

13 September in my diary for more tourism cinnamon Grin. Take it easy, however fit you are this pregnancy lark takes it out of you.

Good you got checked out Lollipop

Welcome Annie Smile

Grin at your doggy Thursday

Hello lego - glad the sun shone for you Smile. When is your 50th? Are you aiming for a 50th PR and Wolef double weekend?

thenightsky · 16/08/2014 22:11
