Love the support I get from MN.

Well done everyone who ran this morning!

HalleLouja · 09/08/2014 21:14

Thanks cinnamon I did struggle to finish in that time. My friend was winding me up telling me I was on 30 min pace so I focussed and managed to get a pb.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 09/08/2014 22:58

night sounds like you are very much back in the game Smile

I was nowhere near a PB today, but a minute or so faster than last time. Just goes to show how running with someone else can help you push yourself - I would have just pootled along on my own without my buddy.

Good to see you back on the thread Lollipop and well done to mini-Blathers x 2

Halle Grin at your friend fibbing Grin

Well done everyone who ran, I went with my DSis and it was a lovely run along the beach! Thanks for the heads up about the wood chips, there was no sprint finish for us.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 10/08/2014 09:46

Glad you enjoyed it kimmi Smile. We had the wind at our backs going out, but in our faces coming back along the cliff tops and it was hard!

Anyone for Sheringham next week, or know anything about it?

PS I was talking to a lady at my parkrun on Saturday, who told me her B-I-L was one of the original Bushy crew, that he is coming up to his 250th run, and that he is spending this year doing tourism and is on his 96th different venue. There's a target for you Blathers Grin

HalleLouja · 10/08/2014 10:19

Who are the Bushy crew? -Am a newby--

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 10/08/2014 10:27

Halle - they were the first parkrunners - see here for the history lesson Smile

OP posts:
HalleLouja · 10/08/2014 10:36

Thanks for the history lesson. There was one on Wiki too.

LollipopViolet · 10/08/2014 13:16

I'm Envy of Bushy - they have deer! All we have are geese and pigeons :(

I ACHE today, particularly my abs, strangely.

Blatherskite · 10/08/2014 13:42

There are no deer at MK but we do have Common Tern, Tufted Duck, Ringed and Little Ringed Plover, Common Redshank, Northern Lapwing and Canada Geese as the North Lake is a wild life reserve. There are a huge number of swans too.

The South lake is home to lesser spotted Wakeboarders mainly plus a few Dragon boat s Wink

cinnamongreyhound · 10/08/2014 13:47

We have lots of wildlife too, there are deer but you will have to spot them and where I am in the field they've probably been frightened off by the speedier runners.

My friend has done sheringham twice OhOneOhTwoOhThree, apparently it's NT so free parking on Saturday mornings, one lap with a killer hill that she can't run up! It's probably too far for me Hmm

feetheart · 10/08/2014 17:40

Anyone know anything about Chichester? We are camping in East Wittering from Thursday and DS and I have told the others we are doing parkrun on Saturday :)

standingonlego · 10/08/2014 19:51

We have people on benches drinking tennants super... :)

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 10/08/2014 20:04

So do we lego. There has also been a flasher in the park, but he has been staying away on Saturday mornings. The best is the lady who hates parkrun and has complained to the council. She insists on walking her dog in the opposite direction to the way we run and swears loudly all the way round.

thenightsky · 10/08/2014 20:42

We have loads of dogs off leads who are amazingly well behaved and ignore all the runners. Scunthorpe people must have the best trained dogs in the country!

Blatherskite · 11/08/2014 09:30

Shouting "I am a member of the pubic" isn't it OhOne? :)

I really wanted to shout back "Great, so am I" but thought better than antagonising her

ThursdayLast · 11/08/2014 11:32

Hahahahah OhOne and Blathers. You are very restrained not winding her up, what a plonker she sounds Grin

We have cows at our parkrun, in the summer at least. And with the cows come the attending slip risks. Lucky I'm a farmers daughter, so it doesn't phase me!

cinnamongreyhound · 11/08/2014 16:37

I'd definitely reply so am I!!!

We have a man who if often walking in he opposite direction near the start. I meet him when I walk the dogs before and he always says hello and we sometimes walk together for a bit. During parkrun I always say hello too but he never responds!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 11/08/2014 16:48

A member of the WHAT Blathers Grin Grin Grin?

We are briefed every week by our RD to ignore her Smile

OP posts:
Blatherskite · 12/08/2014 06:52

What a mis-type! Blush

She picked on friends of mine when we came over once. She is an utter loony.

MelanieCheeks · 12/08/2014 07:58

Very beautirful course at st andrews

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 12/08/2014 09:28

OP posts:
Blatherskite · 12/08/2014 19:55
