Supposed to be working but could not resist challenge of new thread title!

OP posts:
LittleChiefRunnyCustard · 23/12/2011 19:05

It's good stuff but the longer I take it (winter no.6) the worse the withdrawal effects if I stop it suddenly. I knew about the nausea and headache but the racing heart rate was a new one.

I picked up a new pack today though so hopefully my appetite will come back just in time for some Christmas Dinner - we are having rib of beef - mmmm.

cestlavie · 23/12/2011 19:12

Hoorah for safe return of the cat fanny! Take it that it wandered in looking perfectly chilled and wondering why you and DD1 were picking him up and squeezing the life out of him whilst sobbing!

Well done on people getting out running. Sound like there's quick times around.... Not had time today to run and actually can't see it happening befor Boxing Day Confused

Oh and as someone else said happy Christmas to thread babies first Christmas!

Wheelybug · 23/12/2011 19:25

Great news fanny!

AlmaWalkingInAWinterWonderland · 23/12/2011 19:59

Yay for the return of the cat :)

Racing heartbeat sounds scary LittleChief Xmas Shock, lucky you had a monitor.

fannybanjo · 23/12/2011 19:59

Thanks all! Cat currently chilling on my knee. Just said to my friend "I've never been so happy to see a pussy in all my life". However she choked as in true Fanny style, it sounded pretty rude!

The Big Running Plan cest is to do as many miles (mid distance runs) as I can at HM race pace. (8m/m) - its the only way I can see that it's possible to realistically finish HM at 1.45. So tomorrow a 5 miler at race pace again. Them Xmas and Boxing day off (may do quickie on Boxing day morning) then I have 4 weeks to go Gung Ho before next HM race. This ones local but every time my friend and I try to do route, we get lost Grin. Hope you had a good birthday?

fannybanjo · 23/12/2011 20:10

cest have no idea why I informed you of my running plan but probably because you said we trained very similarly.Wink

bonkersLFDT20 · 23/12/2011 20:16

No running today, however, I have just eaten a large Lindt Father Christmas.

fannybanjo · 23/12/2011 20:23

bonkers you bad girl you! I've had olives, 2 Corona's, crisps, 4 chocolates off tree and am still wanting more shite. I can see how some people put on tonnes of weight at this time of year.

DebiTheScot · 23/12/2011 20:45

Oh good, glad cat is back.
Hope your flight is on time peach

have persuaded sil to come with me into Aberdeen tomorrow morning to do parkrun. Think ds1 might come too. They won't run but will keep me company.
Only downside is she's planning on going to the Next Sale at 6am boxing day so I might get made to go with her as payback!

fannybanjo · 23/12/2011 20:50

Debi I had VIP pass and my friend bought £500 worth of goods on my accounts! 2 beds and 2 desks for her sons included in that. I bought a white desk and chair for DD1 for £90, reduced from £200. Shock

DebiTheScot · 23/12/2011 21:02

Eek fanny!! I had a VIP slot too but didn't use it this year. I don't think I need anything other than jeans (my size 12s are too big SmileSmile)

fannybanjo · 23/12/2011 21:05

I didn't buy any clothes, just got some bath mats £4! Desk and a lamp. Plain striped bedding for DD1. That's all!

orangeLFDThead · 23/12/2011 21:23

Grin at your being pleased to see pussy fanny. I was getting really upset reading about your pussy Smile. So glad she safe and sound.
Dh got very excited showing me the trailer for the hobbit, I however was [whispers] not really interested much to his disgust. Do I need to leave the thread now.
Well done wheely thats a good time.
Hope you feeling better alma
littlechief I have been on that one too quite a few times in the past. I have not had to be on it since I started running and I'm hoping the running will help keep it at bay and it not just a coincidence. Infact it was the gp who suggested me start running the last time I was on it.
Its so nice when your jeans feel big debi Smile. Well done.
Good news, managed to do some ab work and squats without gasping for breath Smile Smile. Some perhaps not so good news, well not really sure, gp rang me with results of my blood tests. Levels were lower than should be, but only slightly, which she said could suggest my ovaries are struggling but she said one month does not really mean anything so going to retest me next month. Also I am sure I have read somewhere that when you are ill it can affect ov as not a good time to get pregnant. So fx that as have chest infection it may have affected things.
Hope everyone has a great time.

sfxmum · 23/12/2011 21:24

Just quickly very pleased the cat is back fanny such a relief Smile

rhetorician · 23/12/2011 22:57

also happy about returned cat...have had hot port with neighbours. All good :)

fannybanjo · 23/12/2011 23:36

Frigging cat being held hostage by DD1 in her bedroom. Poor thing.

WishIwasCherryMenlove · 24/12/2011 03:42

Hi all
Middle of night post due to snotty nose!
Fanny glad to hear your cat is back - something that puts me off having a cat is their tendency to wander off and cause worry!
Peach did you make your flight ok? Presume you're up in Bonny Scotland?

We are down in Sussex now for Xmas with my parents then driving to Devon next week for new year to see dp's family.

With brilliant timing, ds has decided now is the time to start making a massive fuss about bedtime. I guess the travel cot isn't helping. Dp and I aren't averse to a bit of controlled crying etc but still it's horrid. Not too bad here as my parents have been regaling me with tales of my terrible sleeping but can hardly wait for the cats bum disapproving faces at dp's parents house Sad

LittleChiefRunnyCustard · 24/12/2011 07:01

This is too early. My kids have been getting up earlier and earlier every day in a race to open the Playmobil advent calendar first.

My DH tried to do that with our disappearing cat too Fanny - cat was not impressed.

Hope to managed to get some sleep Cherry.

liath · 24/12/2011 07:57

Great to hear about The Return of the Pussy Grin.

I take St John's Wort for SAD but have just realised that I haven't got my SAD light out of storage yet. I tend to hit the depths in January. Citalopram is a b*gger for withdrawal symptoms though. DH is on it and mirtazepine and until recently quetiapine too which was a hell of a cocktail.

That looks a lovely 10k Bumply I reckon you should go for it.

Peach I presume you are safely up here in Bonny Scotland, welcome and I hope you brought your vitamin D with you because it has barely got light at all the last week or so Hmm.

Well, the kids are busy dismantling their advent calenders so there are bits of foil everywhere. My ILs have arrived and the place is floor to ceiling in food (ILs are big eaters) and I haven't exercised in a week now .

Have a great Christmas everyone Grin.

peachLFDTsmuggler · 24/12/2011 08:06

Oh dear cherry, hope DS's sleep improves and you get a restful Xmas Smile

well we are safely here in lovely lovely Scotland. Trip was completely fine although DD1 was a bit upset when they rummaged through her rucksack at security. Suspect item was walking barking pink poodle!

DSIL lent us an amby hammock for K. Took 30 minutes to settle her in it with assistance of dummy and then she slept for 4 hours!!! Brought her into bed after she woke but I must say the hammock is genius!

Xmas eve has to be the best day of the year, I just love it. Hope you are all having a good one and not stuck in godawful queue at Waitrose!!

bonkersLFDT20 · 24/12/2011 08:42

Merry Christmas all! I'm leaving as soon as I'm ready. I can't really do MN on my Smart phone, so you won't hear from me for over a week.

Got a txt from DS1 asking where to put peeled sprouts. Sounds like him and DH are preparing veg for tomorrow Xmas Shock

DS2 very unsettled last night (up at 9.30 and 11pm - gave Calpol and prayed it was not something brewing). He still BF during the night and fed ALOT last night, but is thankfully totally fine this morning. It was a wee wake up call to remind me what actually is important!

Taking my rubbing stuff with me!

LittleChiefRunnyCustard · 24/12/2011 08:46

rubbing??! snurk.

ShredMeJillianIWantToBeNatalie · 24/12/2011 09:08

Morning all. Was out last night for swanky meal so missed The Case Of The Missing Pussy. Glad she is safe and well and it sounds like most of us are where we should be for tomorrow Smile.

Spent yesterday doing a few bits of shopping, and picking up the pottery the boys painted last week as presents. Oh and assembling giant chav telly. Then cooked dinner for boys and parents who were babysitting as they physically cannot eat later than 5 pm. Hmm.

Loving the idea of Waitrose Harpenden being sprayed with bullets in a fight for the last mince pies. I've heard some gruesome stories about the car park there!

Shattered today best not stay out till 2 am then but I have to pick up the turkey at 11. Am going to try a run later.

fannybanjo · 24/12/2011 09:15

Happy Christmas Eve my magnificent rubbing comrades! In bed still AS DD2 ill so having watched Tangled at 6am with her and her coughing all night, we are both in my bed and she is lying next to me, catching flies wearing a Minnie Mouse costume!

bonkers have a good one! Poor DS3 though, hope he's better soon.

shredwoman Grin at cant eat after 5pm, my mums like that! DH and I regularly eat around 8ish if we haven't eaten with the kids. Hope you get out for run.

Pussy is out again. Hope she comes bloody back for Xmas.

Attempt a run later if only to counteract the sheer amount of shit I ate last night. If I do a 5 miler it'll put my weekly mileage up to 40 miles which is on what I need to be doing.

futurity · 24/12/2011 09:27

Building up to doing a run...if I can get out of bed that is...
