Sorry no pics - SD card in phone broken and CBA to use camera and upload. Anyway, you'd only laugh at my efforts !

Have good journey tomorrow Sfx and are yiu off tomorrow peach ?

orangeLFDThead · 22/12/2011 19:53

He certainly is a professional knob shred, the boys were actually ok but I was fuming.
If I did bare foot running, I am pretty certain I would step in dog poop or glass. Not that I'm a glass is half empty sort of girl just know what I'm like.
Hope dd1 feeling better wheely and well done on getting the cake done.
I'M another lover of marzipan Smile. Hate sprouts though.
Tried to do some ab work earlier on only did a few mins and ended up gasping for breath and had to take my inhaler Sad I'm getting really fed up now.

WishIwasCherryMenlove · 22/12/2011 20:07

Evening all

Anyone watching BBC sports personality? They've made it a bit too funky for my liking. I'm also about to be cross about lack of female nominees and I bet they don't even mention chrissie Wellington. Murray chops didn't even bother to show up. Grr

Dp's turn for running club tonight and I'm too snotty for exercise at the mo. Just working out how to get his Xmas present of tri bars for his bike into the car to my parents without him noticing

fannybanjo · 22/12/2011 20:22

Cat shit truffles...?! I don't post for a day and look what happens to this thread. Shameful. Grin

Can't catch up properly as app is a pile of truffle shit.

Hope all well. I'm done in. Christmas gets in way of cleaning life. Had no electricity for 5 hours today do that was fun with 7 kids in house (dear friend brought hers around).

Errrr is anyone doing any running this week then!? LSR planned tomorrow. Not sure how far. My running friend injured and I haven't done long run alone for ages so will feel strange. Good for me to do one though as she leaves for Perth in Feb and I'll have to get used to it. Sad

Sorry but if someone can do a summary of past days events I'd be grateful!

backwardLFDTpossom · 22/12/2011 20:52

Hello all, have had some laptop issues - going to have to get a new one, I think... Xmas Hmm

Running also gone to pot. Am thinking of entering a big race to get me some focus.

Have an interview for the job I applied for - it's not until mid Jan but something to look forward to. Xmas Smile

Hope you're all ok - will try and catch up, but with 500-odd posts to read, you know that's not going to happen...!

ShredMeJillianIWantToBeNatalie · 22/12/2011 20:54

squix you keep up those shred moves and you'll be rowing like Redgrave ....

Glad the cake is done wheely. Was there any leftover marzipan to make nativity figures?!

orange have you been back to the docs?

Good luck for the journey sfx, I'm the swearer in this house, DH just tuts disapprovingly and shakes his head in disappointment Hmm.

cherry I'm afraid I'm boycotting the beeb over this one - watching Corrie!

fanny I was wondering where you were, but realised you were probably hoovering the girls and ironing DH Wink.

Well I got out for my run, 5 and a bit miles of gentle hills in 55 minutes. That's pretty good for moi I do realise many of you could walk that. DH got home stinking of booze and I've just sent him down to the shops. That could be interesting! Wink

AngeChica · 22/12/2011 20:59

Yup did 6m at running club last night and a tempo run on Tues. Looking forward to getting to parents' where there are lots of off road trails - easy on the knees and much prettier than the arse end of Northumberland where I live. Finished work til 4 Jan now. Let the red wine and chocolate commence. DS is totally up a height about Christmas. I guess for the first time, last year he wasn't quite 3 so still not entirely sure what all the fuss was about.

Hope everyone has fab holidays if I don't get on before. 4 months today til VLM ! And the schedule starts 1 Jan so expect lots of moaning & fretting over the subsequent 16 weeks that you can of course feel free to ignore. I have learnt so much already (mainly re cocks, thongs, porridge, heart rate monitoring, garmins) but there is much to learn. Xmas Smile

AngeChica · 22/12/2011 21:02

Shred he might come back with some more Tena Lady if you're lucky.

rhetorician · 22/12/2011 21:03

ange we live to inform Xmas Wink - I have about 4 weeks of mucking about and then into a 12 week programme for a 10k. Can't wait. DD1 playing up something chronic - she is a right little sod very strong willed and just will not listen. She is mostly pretty good, but is working hard on letting us know about her displeasure at being displaced from her rightful position at the centre of the known universe. And breathe....

Wheelybug · 22/12/2011 21:08

Of course, shred just knocking up a virgin Mary as I type. So to speak. (apologises to anyone who finds that distasteful)...

Can't wait to see what your DH brings back from the shops.

sfxmum · 22/12/2011 21:08

congrats on job interview possum

thanks for good wishes for journey, I do not like motorways at Christmas but always nice to arrive and do zilch for a few days except eat and drink, blessed be the outlaws

take good care of your good selves and happy running Xmas Smile

Wheelybug · 22/12/2011 21:10

Oh and on the subject of running, fanny, should that be relevant to this thread Hmm I plan 6 miles tomorrow and 5 on Christmas eve. Tomorrow i may even deliver Christmas cards at the same time (considers intervals of sprints between houses).

futurity · 22/12/2011 21:15

Omg ...mo Farah does 120 miles a week!

rhetorician · 22/12/2011 21:16

mo farah I seem to be on about 12 miles a week...I am going crazy!

ShredMeJillianIWantToBeNatalie · 22/12/2011 21:17

Ah Rhet she will come to understand that there's room for two at the centre of your universe Smile.

ange I think the Tena Lady was a special treat, but I'm concerned he may well have his beer goggles on leading to many inappropriate alcoholic purchases. Which reminds me, I forgot the advocaat for me as I bloody love a snowball for any of our visitors. Have got plenty of Bacardi Breezers though!

futurity · 22/12/2011 21:21

Can you imagine that though ..120 a week..mind blowing!

backwardLFDTpossom · 22/12/2011 21:29

120 miles a week is crazy

Wheelybug · 22/12/2011 21:48

orange I didn't say thanks for words re dd1 . I don't think she's too bad really, just going to the holiday club with swimming etc probably wasn't the best plan.

I hope you feel better soon !

And ange - hurrah for no more work ! Have a good break.

Wheelybug · 22/12/2011 21:48

Oh and I am only half watching sports personality and I thought they said Mo does 20 miles a week - ha ha ha. I didn't think that was many tGrin

cestlavie · 22/12/2011 21:55

shredme I love shopping after a few drinks. You get the BEST stuff then. Be prepared for him to turn up without any any milk or bread but with a electric egg whisk and a egg timer that plays jingle bells. (And for him to be justifiably delighted with his purchases!)

Sounds like the fun is ongoing with DD rhet. She will come round. It is hard being displaced from your rightful position at the centre of the universe (I know I'm still adjusting!)

Sure youll be fine running by yourself fanny. You've caught the highlights of the thread with the cat shit truffles but you tragically missed the great marzipan debate...

Good work on the running angechica and happy Christmas if we don't see you beforehand!

Hope you liked knocking up the Virgin Mary wheely. Not sure of that sounds more wrong because of the wording or because of the lack of vodka!

rhetorician · 22/12/2011 21:56

peach just noticed your thing about handwriting; I perpetually write lists that DP peers at crossly - she makes me rewrite all notes to babysitters/tradespersons/catsitters - you'd think after 16 years that she could have a stab at my writing?!!

rhetorician · 22/12/2011 21:57

fanny you also missed by enticing decluttering invitation Xmas Grin

rhetorician · 22/12/2011 21:57

jesus my - I don't even have a bloody i phone

peachLFDTsmuggler · 22/12/2011 21:59

Is a snowball the same as a fluffy duck?

Mo rules!!!!!

peachLFDTsmuggler · 22/12/2011 22:06

Only third. Whaaaaaat?
