All ye fine runners who wish to get together to discuss running-related topics, or otherwise, come and join us here. We are a friendly and incredibly supportive group of runners, varying in ability, but all bonded together by a common theme of loving running, committed to squeezing it into our busy lives and wanting to improve our own PBs. So whether you are a full-time mum, part-time working mum, full-time working mum, working from home mum, mum who is studying, or even a dad Grin, add your race to the list so you can be sure of some moral support and advice along the way. And if you aren't racing, don't worry as you can enjoy the race reports and race vicariously.

peach make sure it's truly hunger before feeding, if shes snacking on foremilk then her tummy will get gripe pains. Write a diary, i had to. Blush I made mistake of whacking tits out every time DD1 cried. No wonder she's a greedy bugger now. Hmm

rhetorician · 08/12/2011 20:47

sticky i'm in for the over-80s...sorry that things are rough. Hoping that the gales will disappear and that I can get another 5 miles in tomorrow when I drop DD1.

DD1 wasn't sicky - not until we gave her formula/cow's milk and then she spewed nearly every night....DD2 chucked up most of her very first feeds, but she was full of mucous. She loves her milk in a way that DD1 never did. I am just glad for DP that she seems like this will be a good bf experience, when DD1 was just pure effort for 8 months (she had blocked ducts, mastitis, bad thrush you name it, because I think DD1's latch was never that great).

Their dad is coming next week - so I might manage a bit more running...I'm happy to be getting out at all, but I do miss my hour or so to myself, and the miles.

fannybanjo · 08/12/2011 20:51

Over 80's...?! More like over 100's!! I ran with guy in his 70's last night. He did the Conwy HM in 1.53. Brilliant!

monkeyLFDTwench · 08/12/2011 20:51

I HATE SKY

The weather here really isn't that bad, but no satellite signal. Pathetic.

peachLFDTsmuggler · 08/12/2011 20:53

Yes am keeping her on the same side for each feed, unless she's been on there for ages and getting fussy, then I swap.

She is rooting around and trying to suckle DP's arm, chest, neck, so I think she is hungry. Sleeping now in my arms. She was ok overnight last night, sleeping in bed with me. Hmmm.

fannybanjo · 08/12/2011 20:53

It's Rupert Murdoch shaking the politicians from his pockets causing all the interference monkey

fannybanjo · 08/12/2011 20:55

Apologies peach that last post sounded bit bossy BlushBlushBlush

peachLFDTsmuggler · 08/12/2011 20:55

1.53 fanny??? wow, that's truly inspiring. I love the fact that running is a sport where old peoplecan whup young folks asses!!!

fannybanjo · 08/12/2011 20:57

He looked early 60's. Amazing. So inspiring isn't it? Who's that 100 year old guy still running?

peachLFDTsmuggler · 08/12/2011 20:57

Och no fanny, dinnae worry lassie!

Have you all seen the Hurricane Bawbag stuff on the media and Twitter. V funny.

peachLFDTsmuggler · 08/12/2011 20:58

stickyLFDTfingers · 08/12/2011 21:01

here's your man an inspiration!

peachLFDTsmuggler · 08/12/2011 21:04

Oh yeah, that's the guy. What a dude! 100!!!! Just amazing.

fannybanjo · 08/12/2011 21:06

Just thinking peach - To keep K awake, clamp a Snow Trax on each tit whilst she's feeding, that's keep her awake...

stickyLFDTfingers · 08/12/2011 21:06

well, I vote for our >100 league, with extra prizes for who has the longest beard.

fannybanjo · 08/12/2011 21:06

Oh yeah that's him! His beard must slow him right down though.

fannybanjo · 08/12/2011 21:08

Actually his beard looks like my muff.... Grin

stickyLFDTfingers · 08/12/2011 21:13

fanny there will not be any prizes for the longest muff

rhetorician · 08/12/2011 21:13

but he could wrap it round his head for warmth in cold weather, and gradually unroll it as he warmed up...

peachLFDTsmuggler · 08/12/2011 21:15

Ha ha! I was just about to say, don't mention longest beard, or fanny will bring up her lady garden!!!!! Grin

fannybanjo · 08/12/2011 21:20

Honest to god, if mine was left, THAT is exactly what it'd look like. Down to the bits of food stuck in it...

stickyLFDTfingers · 08/12/2011 21:22

it must be so tempting to draw little face pictures on your belly fanny. That'd give your DH a surprise! (probably you've already done that...)

fannybanjo · 08/12/2011 21:24

Grin sticky - now come on, that's just tacky. I'm a classy bird me. Wink

fannybanjo · 08/12/2011 21:25

Can I add that at no point in my life has my fanny ever looked like a 100 year old Hindu runner's chops.

stickyLFDTfingers · 08/12/2011 21:26

I think it's a great idea actually! Just off to find the girls' face paints. I'm sure DP will need cheering up when he gets home Xmas Grin
