All ye fine runners who wish to get together to discuss running-related topics, or otherwise, come and join us here. We are a friendly and incredibly supportive group of runners, varying in ability, but all bonded together by a common theme of loving running, committed to squeezing it into our busy lives and wanting to improve our own PBs. So whether you are a full-time mum, part-time working mum, full-time working mum, working from home mum, mum who is studying, or even a dad Grin, add your race to the list so you can be sure of some moral support and advice along the way. And if you aren't racing, don't worry as you can enjoy the race reports and race vicariously.

rhet. I always say having children is like visiting a new place for the first time. You have no idea where you're going or what to do but it's amazing. Second time you go, you remember it well, it's lovely to be back. Smile. I bonded far quicker with DD2 but she was a much more chilled baby. Hope tonight is better for you both. Your DDs are lucky to have two mummies.

Shattered today, kids sleeping very badly as hailstones hammering at their window. I'm struggling to do anything and got their nativity later. That'll be fun... DD3 is a shepherd and I have every faith that she will refuse to participate. BlushHmm

fannybanjo · 06/12/2011 09:56

rhet you asked a while ago about stinky kit and washing it. I've bought a specialist liquid called Halo which is designed for such sweaty issues... I'll let you know if it works.

Hey sticky I was discussing anal sex, it was monkey discussing endoscopy. Grin

DebiTheScot · 06/12/2011 10:02

Enough of the poking things up bums talk please!

Hope A settles into a reasonable routine soon rhet

I'm meant to be doing jobs like ordering ds1 a new birth certificate (quite important as his passport needs renewed before we go to NZ in March) but am wasting time.

Still coughing and feeling out of breath just walking fast but might try a slow short run tomorrow. Circuits again tonight.

bonkersLFDT20 · 06/12/2011 10:02

How am I meant to run?

Today: visitor at work - and will have to go to lunch with him.
Tomorrow : Should be able to go then.
Thursday : Work Xmas lunch
Friday : Work Xmas lunch
Saturday : Sister's Hen Day
Sunday : Rugby am and Father Christmas train ride pm

I might have to seriously start considering running at night which I've never fancied. Unless I run round and round the village I'll have to go down roads with no street lights.

My 2 yo is sleeping like a newborn but is NOT co-sleeping like one. End of tether is being reached.

stickyLFDTfingers · 06/12/2011 10:11

fanny DD2 was a shepherd in hers too. She looked livid the entire way through, like she was going to lamp someone. Fortunately there was no GBH at the inn in the end Xmas Grin. The children's nativities always make me go all watery eyed tho, I'm a soppy apporth. And if I were tired as well... blub blub!

debi hope that goes away, must be very annoying. And get on and get the passport application done woman, no more gaffing Xmas Wink (like the way you see I'm getting the Christmas cards done...)

bonkers do be careful on roads with no lights, that sounds a bit dangerous to me. Winter is so annoying. But why do you have 2 work xmas lunches - sounds seriously greedy!

stickyLFDTfingers · 06/12/2011 10:12

gaffing = faffing!

orangeLFDThead · 06/12/2011 10:17

Just got back from the docs. All the normal stuff I got to have some blood tests, dh got to go a give a sample [poor bloke]. But she said if everyting comes back ok, nhs reglations are that they can't refer us on till we been trying for 2 yrs Shock Im sure that not right but will tackle that if it comes to it.
Hope everyone else ok and rubbing for today.
Not got my race pack yet, getting a little impatient

orangeLFDThead · 06/12/2011 10:18

That should of been 'good rubbing'

MoshiMoshi · 06/12/2011 10:57

Feck it is freezing out there. Our boiler was off yesterday and last night was very chilly so I let the dog sleep in my room as there is at least underfloor heating in the ensuite bathroom. She was very good and only licked my face once in the night before going back to her bed when I told her off.

Had a 7 chilly miles of rubbing. Meant to be a tempo run with 3 x 1M@6:40m/m but legs felt like rubber and chest all wheezy so miles came out a pathetic 6:42, 6:50 and 6:46. Hmmm.

Have help today so must make most of time!

PS Sorry re memememememme. Will read your antics tonight and catch up!

orangeLFDThead · 06/12/2011 11:07

You got your boiler back on now moshi?

fannybanjo · 06/12/2011 11:21

Haha at Moshi's "pitiful"miles at 6.30... Grin. Hope all well in Noshi house with DH other side of the pond. Moshi if my friend does a SF trip next year, I'm gonna go with her and you're gonna have to take me on a run... Hope dog is now warm.

orange fingers crossed all well. How long you been trying? Very stressful.

sticky Grin at your DD. they're ace aren't they at this age. I love them to bits then BAM they hit 7 and fuck me, you spend hours wondering where your nice little baby went.

fannybanjo · 06/12/2011 11:22

orange you sure you don't pick up number on the day?

backwardLFDTpossom · 06/12/2011 11:26

Oops, this fell off my "I'm on" page...

Wintry conditions have hit here unfortunately. Had an inch or so of snow on Sunday night, so driving to work yesterday was joyful as it had all frozen. Yay! Running club tonight is unlikely to go ahead... :(

orangeLFDThead · 06/12/2011 11:29

Been trying officially for a year, but for about 6 months before that was not a careful as could been.
I don't know if I pick it up on the day Hmm

futurity · 06/12/2011 11:37

blimey...its cold out there! When did that happen? I don't run for a week and suddenly I have to wear a hat, gloves and my winter running tights. Was nice and frosty and sunny though so can't complain and did 7.4 miles at slow plod pace.

fannybanjo · 06/12/2011 11:37

Naughty rubber possum - get thee back on this thread forthwith or be doomed.

orange email them, see what's what. Sad for you - we suffered with infertility, it's grim. But hey! I've 3 of the buggers so you never know! Wink Smile.

fannybanjo · 06/12/2011 11:38

Anyone had their Trax yet....?

fannybanjo · 06/12/2011 11:39

I have a situation with my nasal passage. It's weird. Can't explain it, it's not snot, just like dead skin in there. Hmm. Thought I'd share that nugget with youse.

stickyLFDTfingers · 06/12/2011 12:14

do you think it might be a nugget up your nose fanny? I think you should go to Boots and ask for an nasal cavity exfoliation kit.

Card writing marathon is done - woohoo!

Futurity must have been a bit of a shock after all the weirdly mild weather, but well done for getting out there. Sounds like a nice run.

moshi is your boiler back in action yet? Yeeuch to dog licking face in middle of night! Tho I suppose it would have been warm (still, eeeuw!)

stickyLFDTfingers · 06/12/2011 12:15

orange what a frustrating answer from dr. Hope the tests are a bit more informative.

monkeyLFDTwench · 06/12/2011 13:19

fanny have hopefully sent you the £, but is in DH's name - I had to guess his password though! Was it just one pair? If it's the worng amount let me know. I should scroll back and check but cannot be arsed am in the middle of stuff!

sfxmum · 06/12/2011 13:48

orange hope you get some answers, it is hard dealing with infertility, you can be just a number and you have to push hard, often at a time when you feel vulnerable, really not fair.

quick wave to everyone

not much going on other than study, dd was hit at school today, incident serious enough for me to get a call, she is ok but it could have been so much worst, other parents are ebing called in for a serious talk Sad I need to be careful about opening my mouth in the playground today, not feeling kind or understanding

DebiTheScot · 06/12/2011 13:50

I've sent the money too. Thanks Xmas Smile

monkeyLFDTwench · 06/12/2011 13:57

sfx deliberately? Poor you, I honestly know how you feel. Let's hope the school takes this seriously and makes that clear to the other parents. Is it a one off incident with this otehr boy/girl?

There is a bullying thread to day on chat I was just looking at, honestly I just despair sometimes it's so sad to read about.
