MoshiMoshi · 29/11/2011 09:04

All ye fine runners who wish to get together to discuss running-related topics, or otherwise, come and join us here. We are a friendly and incredibly supportive group of runners, varying in ability, but all bonded together by a common theme of loving running, committed to squeezing it into our busy lives and wanting to improve our own PBs. So whether you are a full-time mum, part-time working mum, full-time working mum, working from home mum, mum who is studying, or even a dad Grin, add your race to the list so you can be sure of some moral support and advice along the way. And if you aren't racing, don't worry as you can enjoy the race reports and race vicariously.

quick nose round to see if there's any news and to ask if anyone of the Richmond park massive know any nifty 5 mile routes in
The park. need to do a 5 mile easy run and thought the park surface would be better than tarmac. Can just run and turn round after 2.5 miles but if there was a circular route that would be better . From
Any carpark !

MoshiMoshi · 04/12/2011 16:49

wheely - a full loop is around 7M and a half loop around 3.5M so I don't think you can do a circular loop of 5M and may have to cut short a full loop or add a little bit to the half loop. Are you going tomorrow morning?

DDs' school fair today. I have had three days off to recover from a lurgy and am chomping at the bit so will try a 6M run tomorrow. Looking forward to blowing the cobwebs away. Smile

Nothing from rhet I notice... Hmm

Wheelybug · 04/12/2011 16:59

Yes tomorrow first thing. What's the half loop ? Cutting through pens pond and by the ballet school ? I only ever go. Round the perimeter, never ventured across but saw people running through the middle the other day.

sfxmum · 04/12/2011 17:22

Wheely what Moshi says, have a look at the running club site sheen harriers I think they have a couple of loops mapped there might be helpful, I seem to recall some short cut by ballet school.

sfxmum · 04/12/2011 17:39

Let us see if link works its sheen shufflers [http://www.sheenshufflers.co.uk/training.cfm here]

fannybanjo · 04/12/2011 17:44

Nowt from rhet...? Hope all ok. Quicky to say Costco have 2 pairs of Snow Trax to put over trainers when icy and snowy. £12!! Let me know if anyone wants some, a couple of you could split them and have a pair each. Womens are for size 4-9.

monkeyLFDTwench · 04/12/2011 17:47

monkeyLFDTwench · 04/12/2011 17:53

sfxmum · 04/12/2011 17:56

Rhet congratulations to you and your family Wine what a lovely time, so you pronounce it in French? how is it in English?

thanks SFX will take a peek

Wheelybug · 04/12/2011 17:59

Fanny - is it one size fits all ? if so, I'd split a pack with SFX. but this time I will pay !!

rhetorician · 04/12/2011 18:01

sfx it's actually the Irish version of the name - 'izz-ult'. I have to say I love it...perfect for a dark-haired beauty :)

stickyLFDTfingers · 04/12/2011 18:01

it's not often I can say "this is where having a medievalist for a DP comes in very useful", but it does mean that I know my Arthurian Stuff! I-zoolt is how it seems to come out. I think it's lovely, unusual and yet traditional at the same time. Am actually quite Xmas Envy that we didn't think of it for our DDs.

RunningAllDay · 04/12/2011 18:03

Brilliant news rhet. Well done all of you and all the best for the next few weeks. Second the request for pronounciation - is it Irish?

fannybanjo · 04/12/2011 18:05

rhet fan-fucking-tastic!!!! Congratulations to you all and a beautiful name. Love it. Hopefully I'll get to see some pics...

sfx wheely. I'll work out how much postage will be and let you both know. Yes they fit all shoes between 4-9. I'll pop back tomorrow and get them.

sfxmum · 04/12/2011 18:13

fanny PMed you

rhet it is still lovely, would love to hear it with an Irish accent too Smile

monkeyLFDTwench · 04/12/2011 18:16

rhet the Wine emoticon doesn't seem enough for occasions like this, so [champagne] if you know what I mean!

Can't wait to hear all about it and some pictures when you're ready (not rushing you or anything, woman .....).

peachLFDTsmuggler · 04/12/2011 18:23

Awww congrats to you all Rhet and well done DP!
That is a lovely name. I've never heard it before, but beautiful!

monkeyLFDTwench · 04/12/2011 18:33

On a slightly duller note .... anyone else seen the London to Brighton challenge? 100kms?

unless anyone else is still tempted to do the thunder-run

orangeLFDThead · 04/12/2011 18:46
