I need a Shred buddy

I had a Shred buddy but she knackered her knees. It turns out I have no self-motivation at all as I haven't done it once since she stopped.

Anyone looking at a neglected copy of the 30 Day Shred and want to buddy up? We had managed to get to day 10 and had just moved up to level 2 when we stopped, but I'm happy to start again at day 1.

Not much required, just a daily check in to say, 'yep, done it for today, how about you?'

Whaddya say?

L1D4 and surprisingly....not so bad. Definitely ache less.

Level 2, Day 6 completed. I'm getting a bored of Level 2, even though it is still most definitely a challenge.

Good morning!

Today I am 44 years old!

(aurgh!)

On the upside, I did L2 shred on friday evening (was getting v bored w L1, despite being unable to do a press up), went to pilates on saturday morning, and did another L2 shred on saturday evening.

(polishes elderly halo).

Day off yesterday, right back on it tonight. Am determined to SHIFT this farkin' lard that has set up long term residence around my belly/thighs/upperarms/back.....

d6 L1 oh shit ill be needing to move to L 2 soon, i sometimes find it easier but today felt hard but naughty baby last night so prob tired.
Orangina happy bloody birthday sweetie,im already there mate and still think im 25 that is untill i look in the mirror.Grrrr

Can i ask you all when you began to see real results?I feel abit firmer and my tummy is easier to pull in and i did think maybe my jeans are a bit big.Ive just done day 6 L1

I can't see any difference but I feel generally better and I know I am stronger because of what I can now manage in the workout in comparison to the first few sessions.

oh yes i aggree,i feel much stronger already and can def do more than 6 days ago. Stil hoping to shift abit of flab too tho.

Did you have a section?Ive had 4 now my over hang is shocking. I bet your running has shifted the weight tho,I can do hrs in the gym but have never mastered running,i feel half dead after a few minutes,i was going to have a try when shred has improved my stamina somewhat.

Level 2, Day 7 completed.

I have decided to move up to Level 3 tomorrow.

I'm useless at running too. Something about the breathing, makes my chest hurt especially when it is cold. Bizarrely I never get this sensation when cycling in cold weather.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, somewhat predictably, I didn't manage the workout yesterday (I blame the birthday cake that was waiting for me when I got home yesterday, followed by champagne and a delicious dinner...... Smile).

Am back to L2 tonight though!

(Am almost looking forward to it in perverse kind of way.......!)

I am a very bad tempered injured runner and need to strenghen my knees so having looked at the packet for the last week I finally got the dvd out today and gave it a go....

Given that I run a marathon 5 weeks ago, I thought I would find it ok, but I was knackeredBlush

I have itb problems from running and I'm hoping that the squats and lunges will help as will the stomach stuff. I will cycle too and run, but only short distances at the moment so will see how I go.

I have been eating crap since the marathon too so really need to sort that out.

So L1D1 done, big cycle ride tommorrow but may try and shred when I get back if my legs are still workingGrin

L2 D3 done tonight! I so have to do everything MODIFIED, but it is more interesting than L1 (though we have got a lot of PLANKWORK to do, haven't we?!)

My tum still looks as though it is full of yesterday's birthday cake. The remains of which are TALKING TO ME from the kitchen.

Level 3, Day 1 (Day 15 of shredding) As others have said before me, it's a lot easier to move from level 2 to 3 than from level 1 to 2. I even joined in with Nathalie straight away on some exercises!
