... on here, or more or less anywhere on SM? The last entry on 'Leave Means Leave' is months old. Though I understand most sites are 'member only', now....

I am really quite surprised how they more or less evaporated on MN! They appear to be gone!

Why?

Was I an idiot to respond to so many, like, off the top of my head, mummmytime? Were they a bot??

The Arms collapsed. The victors are, well... gone!

Why is that?

Anyone who knows me will know I am a Remainer, but I patiently read, often 500 threads!- pros and cons, to 'get a handle' on the direction of travel.

However, now absolutely no one, bar Clav, is standing up for Leave.

I find the silence more chilling than the arguing.

@Toptotoeunicolour

Disappointing for you that Johnson is as high as second, given you enjoy so much putting him down.
Perhaps Johnson was the first european leader called because he is the one the Biden administration are most worried about?

No one can seriously rate him above Merkel?

Toptotoeunicolour · 11/11/2020 20:48

Bluethrough Yes maybe. I have no inside knowledge about what Biden is thinking.

bellinisurge · 11/11/2020 22:30

If you see Biden's press statement about the calls he made to European leaders, UK is 4th mentioned after, (in this order), France, Germany and Ireland. Pretty telling.

Clavinova · 12/11/2020 07:24

(in this order) - Pretty telling.

Looks like an alphabetical list to me.

Toptotoeunicolour · 12/11/2020 08:33

It's not "telling" at all Bellinisurge. It's just a list of countries in no particular order, until the point someone actually says "this is the order he phoned them in". The fact that you choose to believe it's telling only tells me about your bias. I couldn't care less what order he phoned them in, but at least I don't try to present facts that tell you nothing as being indicative of something I want to believe.

48 days till the end of Transition
and then Brexit will become reality
bring it on

bellinisurge · 12/11/2020 11:46

You've obviously never done a press release if you think it's not telling.

Toptotoeunicolour · 12/11/2020 11:53

You're right, I've never done a press release. I've learned to be exceptionally sceptical of everything journalists write though - BBC, Times (promise myself every day I'll cancel the subscription). I take it all with a pinch of salt I'm afraid. So you're telling me that subtle clues like that could reflect the personal bias of whoever wrote it. That I believe.
