Just watching parliament and it's like some sort of circus. They're making a show of themselves.

May is there as the other Tories are cowards.
Plus Brexit is not 'sorted ' yet so they can't possibly get rid. She's there for a reason.
They will get shot when they are ready.

StealthPolarBear · 29/03/2019 20:54

I agree but I thought she'd step down.

WhiskersOnCats · 29/03/2019 20:55

Baffles me too. I never got the attraction. Never understood how she was voted in. It makes no sense.

Most of them don’t want her to step down until this is over. Nobody else wants to be tarnished by this. She’s now only there to be the fall guy.

The80sweregreat · 29/03/2019 21:01

She took the job on when the others bailed out. I'm no fan, but she gave it a go. As much as I loath Tories they like women in the top jobs.
She would not be there if it wasn't for Brexit.
I don't feel sorry for her but I have a very grudging respect for her. A marmite character if ever there was one.

WhiskersOnCats · 29/03/2019 21:12

British parliamentarians are cowards in the main. They offered her up like the sacrificial lamb so that they can scavenge on the carcass when everything dies and the hyenas are feeding on her. I have zero respect for British politicians. They are weak public school boys. They are utterly pathetic.

Read a few threads on here about public schools. Then read threads from the mothers of Oxford candidates to get an insight into who is actually running this parliament.

Whiskers, the public school boys always did run everything. Tony Blair went to public school. They are all very privileged.
My dad is 97 and used to tell me about the Tories and the workhouses. They had hardly any opposition for years. The Labour Party isn't what it once was either.
It's all a bit depressing.

And how many arrests were made?
Five, including assaulting a police officer. Bear in mind how small this march was compared with last week's remain march.

UnPocoLoco2 · 30/03/2019 07:24

Bollox to brexit

Mistigri · 30/03/2019 07:26

There will probably be more arrests to follow, as police will have video of other assaults. They will have been very cautious about arresting people last night due to the potential for unrest but I would at minimum to expect the clear video of the assault on journalists to result in prosecution. There is also video of a passing cyclist being assaulted.
