Lost it by a big margin - 391 to 242.

Please, God, that means we're nearer to staying in the EU.

Im hoping we can just forget about all this silliness and actually sort our country out

MarshaBradyo · 12/03/2019 19:32

No idea

She’s losing her voice on R4

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 12/03/2019 19:32

It means it's more likely we'll leave with no deal

MirandaWest · 12/03/2019 19:35

I feel it will probably be no deal. Am hoping I’m wrong though

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/03/2019 19:35

No idea.

WhatdoImean · 12/03/2019 19:37

General position now assumed to be:-

  1. Parliament will reject no deal
  2. Parliament will request an extension
  3. EU will offer 1 of two options:- a) Very short extension and then you are out; no second chances. Reason for them doing this is so they can be seen to be fair b) Long extension, but will need to know WHAT Parliament will be doing with the time, and will also require UK Government to participate in EU elections
  4. Current betting:- options 3b with either a general election or a new referendum
mathanxiety · 12/03/2019 19:38

Any takers for 'May resigns'?

AwkwardSquad · 12/03/2019 19:39

Not a sodding clue. I tried following one of those ‘helpful’ flowcharts in the papers. It did not help.

Johnson has been braying on about No Deal being the only true brexit or some such bullshit.

Head in hands.

HeyCarrieAnneWhatsYourGame · 12/03/2019 19:39

She won’t resign. She’s bananas.

TopBitchoftheWitches · 12/03/2019 19:40

Eastenders on later and no holby.

Ffs, what's the point of all this shit? We know the vote was lost, nothing will happen tonight. Stop this rubbish BBC.

Nice to see my MP is actually doing some work for once though.

NopeNi · 12/03/2019 19:40

Too many people are devoted to No Deal now, even though I'd swear a few years ago it wasn't even mentioned as a possibility.

Noname99 · 12/03/2019 19:42

It means project fear has won. 17 million people’s votes will be ignored and there will be no brexit.
The upside is a probable general election and then Reece Mog, Johnson and the conservative brexiteer mafia will all lose their seats thank fuck! So there will be a silver lining!
And a Corbyn government - god help us

AwkwardSquad · 12/03/2019 19:42

It’s collective insanity.

NopeNi · 12/03/2019 19:44

@Noname99, stop whining. It's more likely that your lot have won completely and fucked us all over royally forever.

Backwoodsgirl · 12/03/2019 19:44

I think this means that No Deal is almost certain.

Flowersonthewall · 12/03/2019 19:44

@TopBitchoftheWitches they are probably paid overtime!

PiebaldHamster · 12/03/2019 19:45

Please let it mean an end to this Brexit bollocks.

NoWayNoHow · 12/03/2019 19:45

WTA fucking FUCK is Jeremy Corbyn on about?!? Yes, that's right Jeremy, what Joe Bloggs in the UK wants more than anything else in the middle of this stinking shit show is to go to the polls and choose yet abother buffoon to make more of a hash of this nightmare.

So bored and cross and done with all this.

ballsdeep · 12/03/2019 19:45

May has made the deal so shite mps voted against it thus making us forget this whole shit show and remain 🤞🤞🤞

NotOnTheBench · 12/03/2019 19:46

We need to get out - that's what we voted for.

The EU is the one stalling and trying to keep us in [understandably] by making us sign up to a deal that means we remain part of the EU trade union but with no say at all over what tariffs can be set, what laws apply to us, etc etc.

We cannot stay in the EU with no say on any of the rules so we need to exit. Let's go!

WTFIsAGleepglorp · 12/03/2019 19:46

Not being funny, but how would Parliament voting against 'No Deal', prevent 'No Deal'?

Surely it's in the hands of the EU whether we're in or not?

Wintersnowdrop · 12/03/2019 19:47

I’m pissed off if they have cancelled Holby for this brexit shite.

Noname99 · 12/03/2019 19:47

And we remain ...... proudly part of the most corrupt and morally bankrupt ‘club’ in the western world - a club that prides itself on having different rules for different members depending on how white and Christian the majority of your population and where vast swathes of money is moved around in giant Ponzi schemes that ensure it only goes to the richer states - how proud we should be to remain in such a fine, upstanding organization.

50shadesofbeige · 12/03/2019 19:47

My vote is ultimately no Brexit, but because Rees-Mogg, Boris etc have pushed to leave they will be voted to power in the next general election. Corbyn will never get in, but if he steps down Labour have a much better chance.

PatchworkElmer · 12/03/2019 19:47

I’ll just leave this here...

So May has lost the vote. Now what?!
