Good morning brexiteers.

Well, we’re almost there ( although today will be interesting )
So if you’re not worried in the slightest about anything ( I’m not ) then jump into the pool of tranquility, & let the warm water of optimism & new beginnings wash over you.

Fully appreciate some remainers have real concerns, but in the interest of balance, plenty of us haven’t.

This thread is for us.

Jacuzzi = hot, bubbly wee with extra spunk. So just like Brexit then.

Bohbell · 29/01/2019 19:50

Spunk is actually a positive term meaning courage.

jollyoldsoul · 29/01/2019 19:55

I'll take a dip, surfer. I'm happy with no deal. If we have an avocado shortage, well, I'll cross that bridge when we come to it Grin

@jollyoldsoul well as long as you're happy. That's the most important thing.

Moussemoose · 29/01/2019 20:05

Yes Bohbell that is just the type of jolly old 'spunk' I was talking about.

As in "We need lots of spunk to get through this crisis".

Spunk and pluck that's what we need.

jollyoldsoul · 29/01/2019 20:05

Yes, I am happy. I'm sorry that remainers have turned themselves into some sort of anger-cyclone, but, I don't feel like being swept up in their collective rage.

It's nice in the lagoon.

I've bought a toy fishing boat, and it has a little Union Jack on it.

~pushes it towards surfer~

cvcv · 29/01/2019 20:12

Hmm looks like this evening I might be right; Article 50 has got a chance of being extended. Hmm

Bohbell · 29/01/2019 20:12

That’s the spirit mousemoose

brexitsmexit · 29/01/2019 20:28

Well if all the announcements from Business & the govt are hysteria and Project Fear then the govt are doing a very good job of it!

Ministry of Defence civil servant here who has been asked to volunteer for a 6 month deployment in the event of a no deal Brexit!

Oh with my travel expenses paid - didn't include that on the side of the bus did they?
Angry

surferjet · 29/01/2019 20:31

We’re leaving with a deal or not leaving at all!
So stop going on about ‘no deal’ disasters, just ain’t happening.

OP posts:
LynetteScavo · 29/01/2019 20:31

So far, I have seen, or heard, nothing to be worried about. No one in my area is panicking as shelves are full.

It's all good then!

At least no deal has been rejected by MPs....we may get uninterrupted supplies of avocados.

brexitsmexit · 29/01/2019 20:32

Sees BBC newsflash - starts packing......

brexitsmexit · 29/01/2019 20:33

Reads it again unpacks 😂 phew!

cvcv · 29/01/2019 20:42

@surferjet Why do you think those are the only two options?

ssd · 29/01/2019 21:24

Jollyoldsoul and his union Jack are the sort of middle England voter the news channels love to ask about brexit and they haven't a fucking clue probably elderly and living in a boring market town

ssd · 29/01/2019 21:25

And idolised Thatcher

Quietrebel · 29/01/2019 22:39

I don't think Thatcher would have left the single market.

Coppersulphate · 29/01/2019 22:44

Hi Surfer, I am not worried.
In fact I am very happy after the votes tonight. As are my son and daughter.
I am looking forward to the 29th March.

Quietrebel · 29/01/2019 22:47

Turkeys, Christmas is coming up fast. Rejoice.

Dongdingdong · 29/01/2019 22:52

And idolised Thatcher

Idolised Thatcher, who believed “Our destiny is in Europe, as part of the Community”?

I don’t think Jollyoldsoul (or any leavers, for that matter) would agree with Margaret Thatcher on that point.

Arnoldillo · 29/01/2019 23:00

Interesting thread. I can well believe that the typical leaver is perfectly happy sitting in a pube filled sex pond watching Bev from three doors down finger her gold bikini at Nigel With The Audi.

ssd · 29/01/2019 23:18

Thatcher may have that view then but she'd have done anything to save her skin politically, just as May is doing now..... Whilst claiming its for the good of the country

AwdBovril · 29/01/2019 23:28

I fail to undwhy anyone is happy after the votes tonight. The pound has already plummeted.

AwdBovril · 29/01/2019 23:29

Fail to understand why.

I swear, one of these days I will launch my tablet across the room. Bloody thing.
