Good morning brexiteers.

Well, we’re almost there ( although today will be interesting )
So if you’re not worried in the slightest about anything ( I’m not ) then jump into the pool of tranquility, & let the warm water of optimism & new beginnings wash over you.

Fully appreciate some remainers have real concerns, but in the interest of balance, plenty of us haven’t.

This thread is for us.

Hi Surferjet
Good to see you still around.
I suggested some non Brexity stuff, yesterday, one being a Northern English 'folk tale' set to music, the Lampton Worm. A tale of brave Northerners defeating a dragon.

TheNumberfaker · 29/01/2019 17:04

I think it’s just you, surfer.
Back in the real world, everyone is crazy with worry!

Tonsilss · 29/01/2019 17:10

I get that you're rich and feel very secure. But don't you worry about the poor, sick and disabled?

EdwinH · 29/01/2019 17:14

It would be helpful if people participating in this thread were willing to explain exactly why they're not worried. (Just saying "I don't care about it" doesn't really tell anyone anything.)

That way, those of us who are worried might be able to pick up a few tips on to how find a sense of peace about the whole Brexit situation.

Buteo · 29/01/2019 17:15

I find large amounts of gin helps.

For a while at least.

We always knew it would come down to the wire, we have been told and told again that the EU tend to do this. They always say that nothing can be done but do it in the end.
I am disappointed in how many grown ups don't seem to have any idea how the EU works when it does deals, especially in parliament.

They must all think we are completely stupid with all their 'crashing out' , extending A50, 2nd referendum crap. We all know they are remainers and at the end of the day are doing everything they can possibly do to scupper Brexit.

Have you ever wondered why no labour MPs with leave constituencies are not speaking up for their own constituents.
Well guess what, if they are seen to be supporting Brexit or any conservative/government amendments Momentum will make sure they are de selected!

surferjet · 29/01/2019 17:55

I’ll worry when there is absolutely no food in the shops whatsoever & people are literally fighting for scraps. Does anyone really think that is going to happen? Yeah, great publicity for the EU Hmm
I’m not worried if there’s a short term lack of vegetables, which is as bad as it will get.
So far, I have seen, or heard, nothing to be worried about. No one in my area is panicking as shelves are full.

Sorry, double negative there, should have read - wondered why labour MPs with leave constituencies are not speaking up -

Quietrebel · 29/01/2019 17:59

Relaxing now would be a bit like Nero fiddling while Rome burns.

Quietrebel · 29/01/2019 18:02

This is like an abusive ex threatening suicide.
The advice is to never pander to that behaviour...
I would be devastated if the country crashed to that extent but it would be 100% self inflicted.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 29/01/2019 18:03

I thought this was a thread for optimism not starvation.

Yeah, great publicity for the EU

but you'll be free from the shackles of the EU at that point and fully able embrace the Brexiteer ignorance.

Buteo · 29/01/2019 18:03

Why do you think the shelves are full surfer?

Greensleeves · 29/01/2019 18:05

Oh dear, it looks like there are quite a few big knobbly Remainer turds floating around in your little Brexit hot tub, silversurfer

It was never going to work, was it

PinkGin24 · 29/01/2019 18:07

I am with you here. Praying for No Deal infact. Cannot wait for all this hysteria to be proved wrong....

Greensleeves · 29/01/2019 18:09

*surferjet

cvcv · 29/01/2019 18:10

Checking in, voted leave and would be very happy with no deal.

Unfortunately I have a feeling Article 50 will be extended once, then twice, and then maybe withdrawn. I want to be proved wrong!

I think the only people causing havoc on Leave Day will be those with a vested interest in there being havoc.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 29/01/2019 18:13

Oh dear, it looks like there are quite a few big knobbly Remainer turds floating around in your little Brexit hot tub, silversurfer*

now, now I thought it was only the nasty remainers that resorted to insults?

1tisILeClerc · 29/01/2019 18:14

I would prefer the UK to leave as soon as possible, bring it forward would be great BUT the WA and starting the transition period must happen, not a crash out.

AwdBovril · 29/01/2019 18:15

OP - I am interested in what positive outcomes you foresee from a successful Brexit. Or, indeed, a somewhat messy one. I am rather worried about the prospect & I feel it would help my state of mind if I could at least see some potential positive outcomes. At present it's all looking a bit nebulous.

Genuinely not being goady, I would really be extremely happy if Brexit went well. DH & I are already near the bottom of the pile & I want to see some reason for optimism.

golondrina · 29/01/2019 18:15

Are you very rich? I can't understand why you aren't worried about No Deal if you're not.

BrexitBingoGenerator · 29/01/2019 18:19

Hello everyone. Very happy to trot out some of my top brexit bingo chips for you all this evening:

Star I’ll be ok, I don’t even eat vegetables.

Star I voted leave and I would be very happy with a No Deal.

And the best for last:

Star I just want No Deal so that we can get on with this and ultimately stop talking about it.

Think of these as little bath bombs in your sea of tranquility ...

Jellybean100 · 29/01/2019 18:19

Pinkgin and cvcv please enlighten me to the benefits of no deal brexit

MrsTerryPratcett · 29/01/2019 18:20
