There's a deal.

The press are over excited.

May has united the country.

Everyone hates it.
(Apart from David Allen Green)

Parliament might yet reject it.

Nothing is yet decided and everything is still to be sorted.

Does anything happen to MPs who loudly and publicly hand in their letters of no confidence if the threshold isn't reached?

1tisILeClerc · 15/11/2018 13:35

I was wondering if the EU have 'ramped up' some of the demands in an attempt to persuade the UK to leave. The 'Remain' option was 'as it is' but a few tougher bits seem to have been added.
Mind you if I was one of the ambassadors held in the meeting last night, or other EU reps who had to stay up to 'facilitate' the UK dilly dallying I would get a bit 'frustrated', especially as bedtime is an hour earlier!

They don't get a job under this PM

Talkstotrees · 15/11/2018 13:37

Rory Stewart seems decent - for an Old Etonian. Any skeletons there?

RedToothBrush · 15/11/2018 13:37

Raab is doing an interview on BBC news now.

Rory is a tory. There must be a skeleton. He has, however, always been on my 'decent for a Tory' list.

I was wondering if something more dastardly would come up, like central Tory command forcing a deselection and finding a fresh, loyal face to stand in an already reliably safe seat.

BigChocFrenzy · 15/11/2018 13:42

Tom Newton Dunn@tnewtondunn (RTE)

Michael Gove has pulled out of a speech to farmers in North Yorkshire today, but for very genuine family reasons.

Hazardswan · 15/11/2018 13:42

Missed most of the debacle, caught up on real life stuff - it was kinda ironic I was running late on the med regime Grin

What a fecking day...

Checked JC's twitter has he actually come out and said anything concrete?? He should have the country in his hands right now but he comes across as moany towards May.

He should have taken May to the cleaners at PMQ. She swatted him like a one winged fly.
And I don't like her.

Rees-Mogg goes on: “This is nothing to do with personal ambition.”

No, it's about earning a rumoured £500 million profit from the hardest Brexit
Being PM would never match that - unless he does a Trump and runs the entire country to line his pockets

Robert Peston:

I have never known a cabinet minister savage a colleague who has just resign as savagely as @DavidMundellDCT does here versus @DominicRaab

This is a government tearing itself apart over Brexit and the union

Toothache ?

It’s so frustrating. No end of complaints about this deal not being “Brexit” but no one actually saying what they would do instead. Just that there’s a better deal, they can’t tell you what it is but it definitely exists, honest.

RedToothBrush · 15/11/2018 13:51

Adam Bienkov @AdamBienkov
Jacob Rees-Mogg now being drowned out by the Stop Brexit man

Thats one for a crap tv show in ten years time:

"what is this man famous for? why he's the stop brexit man."

Has he left his kid in a hotel on his own again?

BigChocFrenzy · 15/11/2018 13:53

Ranil Jayawardena's resignation letter^ quotes a tweet from Christopher Hope (telegraph bod^) in which article 89 of the withdrawal agreement is misquoted, leaving out a chunk in the middle.

He resigned based on a twitter abbreviation of a legal document ??
