I have been waiting for two days patiently. Can't wait anymore.
Kindly bring it back Surfer.
No matter what we discuss or don't discuss there, this discussion must keep going.

Democracy = separation of powers

Fascism = executive control of judiciary and legislature.

We got the latter, under May's jackboot.

HO consistently breaks national and international law;
Parliamentary votes which don't go the minority gov's way are banned;
Executive seized power under fig leaf of brexit.

That's called fascism.

KilgoreTroutV · 16/09/2017 17:32

It is so amusing seeing Remainers suddenly becoming champion advocates of democracy when they were perfectly happy for their laws to be made by an unelected (I.e not voted in by ordinary citizens) executive in Brussels for the last 40 years.

woman11017 · 16/09/2017 17:56

Enabling Act is a fascist act. Leavers have been used.
Brexit is fig leaf for ultra conservative power grab.

KilgoreTroutV · 16/09/2017 18:02

You should speak to the Fourth Reich EU about Fascism

TheElementsSong · 16/09/2017 18:03

Look over there! A squirrel!

woman11017 · 16/09/2017 18:05

No idea what your last post was about.^

But May's racist policies are straight out of Weimar.

And the leader of the Leave campaign Nigel Farage is a fascist and AFD nazi rally attender.

woman11017 · 16/09/2017 18:05

Grin elements red or grey?

woman11017 · 16/09/2017 18:06

No idea what your last post was about.^ addressed to kilgore

TheElementsSong · 16/09/2017 18:07

Any colour you like, woman Grin

Peregrina · 16/09/2017 18:07

Is KilgoreTroutV just our banned troll back with a new name?
The arguments are the same.

If this 'Enabling Act' were to be passed May or Corbyn or whoever could just decide to cancel elections. They do get cancelled in war time.

woman11017 · 16/09/2017 18:08

I like immigrant squirrels. Smile

KilgoreTroutV · 16/09/2017 18:09

What would you suggest we do instead Woman? Most thoughtful Remainers agree that taking on EU law into UK law was our only option.

woman11017 · 16/09/2017 18:18

On the money as usual Peregrina. Smile

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 16/09/2017 18:35

Which banned troll?

The only repeatedly returning banned poster I've seen on these threads is smallfox & she bats for the other side.

TheElementsSong · 16/09/2017 19:06

Yes yes, there have never ever been, absolutely positively definitely any banned Leave posters at all, not a single one.

I just find it fascinating that someone with a username in homage to the great Vonnegut would be a brexit supporter. How you could read his books and still believe isolationism and "Britain in the bestest" policies are a good idea I will never understand. Though I guess Trout is a failed science fiction writer so that sort of fits the profile.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 16/09/2017 19:21

I'm sure there have been some, I didn't say there hadn't Confused

I just wondered who "our banned troll" was is all, as it suggests a prolific Leave troll in the same vein as the lovely smallfox.

KilgoreTroutV · 16/09/2017 19:26

Because, like the great Vonnegut, I am not in favour of an unelected elite running a superstate

KilgoreTroutV · 16/09/2017 20:04

Vonnegut fought the Third Reich, I'm fighting the Fourth Grin

BiglyBadgers · 16/09/2017 20:10

Hmm... I'm not sure who you mean. The EU leaders are as elected as Teresa May is. We vote for an MEP who in turn votes for the EU president in much the same way as we vote for an MP and the PM is then choosen by their MPs not by the electorate. In fact as only Tory MPs got any say on the PM whereas the whole EU parliament gets to vote on the EU president I have actually had more input into the election of Juncker then I did the election of May. Which is sort of strange when you think about it.

KilgoreTroutV · 16/09/2017 20:14

EU leaders are as elected as Teresa May
Where is Junkers' constituency (of ordinary citizen voters)?
Could I stand against him in the next election?

MichaelFabricantsHair · 16/09/2017 20:21

Smallfox is locked in the basement with old Claigy, last I heard. Bet they're enjoying eachother's company down there, be a right hoot I'm sure!

MichaelFabricantsHair · 16/09/2017 20:23

I just wondered who "our banned troll" was is all, as it suggests a prolific Leave troll in the same vein as the lovely smallfox

S/he's the only regularly returning troll, that's for sure Faith Grin
