www.crowdjustice.org/case/brexit-for-the-100/

I've only given a tenner, but there are plenty of rich people (unless it's all stealth boasting about dipique candles) here, so we should be able to help.

It's currently at 18.507k and needs 70!

Who started it? Is there a group called People Against Democracy?

I voted remain but I believe in democracy. Yawn

Bless those kind hearted lawyers who are going to work less than their market rate to get this through the courts Hmm

You are throwing your money away, Brexit will (unfortunately) be happening.

YABU.

And I have diptque candles in every room.

Well I don't think its anti democratic. They are trying to get a record based on what deal the government can secure.

Most people had no idea what they were voting for, this would be a much fairer vote.

Are you one of the lawyers who will do rather well out of this, OP?!

Report
FrogletinaBallerina · 10/12/2016 09:44

People did know what they were voting for - it was very clear.

Let's say this goes ahead, and Brexit is blocked. You will then end up with crowd funding on the Leave side, it would be a waste of time.

Also, we live in a democracy. You can't stamp your feet just because you don't like the result.

Why do some constantly treat Leavers as thick ? with the "they didn't know what they were voting for"? How patronising .

I voted Remain by the way !

This looks like an excellent way to raise a lot of money; then say - oh it took too long to raise and MPs have voted for the timescale and Europe have already decided what the "deal" will be; it's too late.

No I'm not a legal professional. Else I would have dipique candles in every room!

I've heard countless stories about the people that voted for brexit and now regretting it. I don't want to say anything inflammatory but it was the less educated people below middle class that voted en mass for it.

Voted remain, but this is a pointless excersise and I won't be voting. Brexit is going to happen.

Voting? Donating

Placemarking because I live for drama.

Can we have some facts please which state that "it was the less educated people below middle class that voted en mass for it"?

You are embarrassing yourself. I think you'd have to be "less educated" to keep getting roped into these crowd funding exercises.

Report
MarieBurnham · 10/12/2016 09:50

It's gone up 3 grand in half an hour! So thanks to those that have donated. It may reach its goal today!

It's a long shot but we owe our childrens future to do everything we can to make sure Britain gets a good deal.

I don't think anyone will be getting rich off this. 70k in legal find s won't go very far.

There are also plenty of remainers that voted remain but didn't really have a clue. They just wanted to keep things the way they were.

In every vote we have ever had there will be people who haven't looked at the issues properly. If that's enough to discount the referendum, no vote should ever stand.

Better start another one then OP for the next £70k needed.

Less educated = poor ? Is that what you mean ??

How patronising (again) . My "poor" DM was lucky enough to go to a grammar school from a poor family , you snob.

so "less educated" people's votes shouldn't count? And can you tell they're less educated because they voted leave?
