Corbyn still hanging in there

I actually quite admire that. Hanging tough. I think it shows a sharp contrast to Cameron who can't get out of things soon enough.

Could Corbyn actually be the next PM?

Starmer & Jarvis both ruled themselves out last year & their reasons would still apply IMO. They might be good, potentially, but they're not generally well known.

Burnham is nice & has been admirably loyal to Corbyn but hasn't quite got what it takes.

Miliband would have to be parachuted into Jo Cox's seat. That would go down well Hmm

Owen Smith is just "WHO???"

If there were a snap election this year Labour would lose whoever was leader.

In 4/5 years' time it could be different, but the car crash orchestrated by the PLP this year has completely mucked up any chance of a an organised progression.

They screwed up.

They screwed up.

Please remember that all this was entirely necessary.

Hasn't Dan Jarvis ruled himself out

In the past but desperate times and all that.

Andy Burnham does want Mayor of Manchester but it doesn't look like Momentum will back him so who knows.

Yes it was entirely necessary. They were finding it hard to work with him and his 'aides'. The responses to him on the door step were getting worse. Labour and him were getting panned in every poll.

Are you serious?

Remember it isn't just 'Blairites' that resigned. That is a fact that Corbynites seem to be forgetting.

Are you serious?

Seriously that he is going for Mayor? Yes.

Report
LowDudgeon · 13/07/2016 00:19

No, serious that momentum could stop him getting it.

There is such hysteria in some quarters about momentum & "corbyns crew"

I wish Dan Jarvis would step up. I loathe Corbyn now, he is destroying the Labour Party.

No, serious that momentum could stop him getting it.

By using their campaigning machine for their chosen candidate? Yes I am serious.

Well they are certianly creating havoc and intimidating people

Strange how Corbyn has suddenly received death threats after police announce they are investigating a brick being thrown into Angela Eagle's office Hmm

Has he said anything about his own mp's being intimidated

How do you all feel about the NEC's smooth move tonight btw?

Yes he has. Christ. Do you anti-Corbynistas pay any attention to what he actually says?

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 13/07/2016 00:33

When mp's are going to the police after receiving death threats

Yes real hysteria Hmm

MP's were reporting bulky from momentum last year just after Corbyn took over as leader we can't have out MP's being bullied and threatened because they disagree with the leader of the party

Report
EnthusiasmDisturbed · 13/07/2016 00:34

He has spoken out against momentum

When ?

People forget on here that we live in a very Conservative country.

ExMil eeking out her state pension on a balcony overlooking the Med ridiculously votes Conservative and Leave.

My white working class neighbours don't vote for anyone why bother?

It is really hard for the Labour Party to get a foot in which is why Blair's reinvention of New Labour Tory soft policy was persuasive.

So Corbyn shows up with his belief that everyone is equal and nobody should be left behind. Decent way of life for all of us.

I honestly don't understand the confusion about his message? It couldn't be clearer or more common sense.

No, he has not spoken out against momentum. I didn't say he had. Do you seriously think all stupid tweets are from momentum & he is the puppet master pulling all their strings?

What else can he say or do?

Report
EnthusiasmDisturbed · 13/07/2016 00:42

Because he has nothing substantial to back his claims up with

He also has had dubious links with terrorists and aligns terrorists groups with democratic elected governments

Report
EnthusiasmDisturbed · 13/07/2016 00:44

His mp's have been receiving threats for months

He should openly and publicly speak out against these threats from momentum

But he dissent as he is ok with bullying as they are on his side the side of righteousness Hmm

Disgraceful

His mp's have been receiving threats for months

Examples? (Apart from Jess Phillips, who is good at self-publicity but not much else as far as I can see)

And proof that any such threats are from Monentum?

If Corbyn is re-elected and the Labour party split, what will the tiny proportion of pro Corbyn supporters compared to general electorate do then?

Part of me has a susupicion they will "dispose" of him, he will get knocked off his bycle or something

Low Please stop playing down the abuse that anyone has received.
