Yeh totally!
My daddy is the best dad and was totally fab when growing up (&still now) and most of my friends hubbies are great daddy's but just not how my family will be

Wish4Future · 21/08/2017 21:31

london I agree with the others about frer, the one we had from the clinic gave the faintest line ever but the frer was very clear!

Paws4thought4 · 21/08/2017 21:54

Haha I totally hear you pickle I do like then thought of meeting mr right still. But I look at all my friends partners and see all the negatives lol. Plus I've been single for a few years now I like my independence lol x

Paws4thought4 · 21/08/2017 22:24

Ok being thick guys but what is frer? X

LondonGirl80 · 21/08/2017 23:34

Thanks ladies. Will def test again Weds. But I have to echo paws - what is a frer? And why's it better? Am just using the clear blue that says pregnant/not pregnant.

pickle162 · 22/08/2017 06:14

First response early response -it's a brand but shows up much clearer. They measure from over 6iu/ml where as my clinic one was 25iu/ml ....at day 12 or 13 it's unlikely you'd be above 25....later on in week yes but not so early x

Pez82 · 22/08/2017 07:21

London, if your BFN was on a clearblue at 12dpiui you're definitely not out!! CB tests are the worst! Prior to due date you need to test on an early test, FRER are the most sensitive. I got my BFP on a Superdrug early one on 11dpt (as I didn't want to waste my FRERs) and it was faint but there was a line.
The CB digital never showed me more than 3 weeks pregnant when I tested weeks later and clearly I was!!

Pez82 · 22/08/2017 07:26

Sorry the above should have said 6dp5dt (I.e. the equivalent of 11dpiui)

LondonGirl80 · 22/08/2017 08:23

Thanks for reassuring words - & for explaining what a frer is! Will definitely get some of those.

Afraid AF came this morning (I'm like clockwork, it's bang on expected date) so looks like I am indeed out. But I will call the clinic this morning so we can start all over again in the next day or so. Spots & extreme fatigue on Gonal F, do your worst!Wink

I'm trying to look on the bright side. Pluses for me include yay! going to be able to take a nice long run at the weekend. I've missed running so much.

What small things lift your spirits on Debbie downer days?

Wish4Future · 22/08/2017 08:29

Oh london sorry chick, that's hard, but you've got more tries up your sleeve yet! Hugs!

Pez82 · 22/08/2017 08:37

Oh sorry to hear this London. Onward and upward as the saying goes. Every BFN I had I treated myself to something nice (I was really careful with money during treatment given the cost of it and so allowing myself to a nice restaurant or piece of clothing before moving on onto the next cycle sort of helped). And yes, take the opportunity to do everything that is prohibited during TWW!!

Paws4thought4 · 22/08/2017 08:40

Sorry to hear that london glad you have some positives to look forward to though.

I think mine would be hot tub! My friends having a hot tub party in a couple of weeks and I can't go in. 😩 And drinking at my friends wedding (though I rarely drink would be nice to at a wedding)

Hope you're ok, we're always here for a chat! Love this group. Learning so much! X

pickle162 · 22/08/2017 09:02

So sorry to hear that London 😔 the only good thing about af showing is your cycle is still regular so can get going on next cycle and 2 at least you know for sure. I found getting af made me feel a bit better at least the what if was resolved.
Take care of yourself xx

LondonGirl80 · 22/08/2017 10:03

Thanks Wish, Pickle, Paws and Pez. Called the clinic and booked my starting scan tomorrow morning, so all ready to go again. It's just the luck of the draw - hope the cards fall right this time.

Am so with you on the hot tub, Paws. I agree the drinking is less of a big deal - we did a show and dinner, and then a night of cabaret and dancing this weekend, all dry! Ginger beer, Becks Blue and slimline tonic are my friends. And though I thought I'd miss the caffeine, after two weeks off it there's no way I'm going back and enduring the comedown headaches again.

Pez82 · 22/08/2017 12:41

That's the spirit London!
I also did my 4 cycles back to back so AF also meant CD1 of the next cycle 😊

Paws4thought4 · 22/08/2017 17:10

Ah wow excellent love that your ready to go again! Fingers crossed for the next time and enjoy your break! The headaches are sure a biatch aren't they, though I don't think mine were caffeine related as I'm not a big coffee/tea drinker, just the odd one at customers houses.

Have a question: how's everyone doing with diet wise during ivf/pre pregnancy test etc? I've been trying to be good but I'm sure these hormone drugs are just making me want to eat junk as I crave chocolate in between jobs. Have a choc bar for later but I'm trying to hide it out of temptation view ahhh xx

kwick · 22/08/2017 18:17

IVI are still looking into costs - looks like Spain POC in holiday.
Apparently I am a first - in the donor UK-Spain aspect Confused
My bad though for not getting this info months ago

Pickle I totally hear you on man front - although it would be nice to have some chukka-chukka every day once in a while

What a bummer London Flowers

Sorry London for the BFN.
I'm like you and hit all the exercise I can't do during the TWW. I've done 5 cycles back to back and now having 2 cycles off.
I'm boxing again, back at circuits and even doing some weight training.
But best of all....im on holiday in Austria 😎
Planning hiking in the alps, bike rides and SUP 🏄‍♀️🚵‍♀️🏋️‍♀️
Here's a photo

Looks gorgeous Munro have a fab holiday 😎

Kwick grrrrr at your clinic, fingers crossed you'll get the info soon and then u can start making a bambino!!!

LondonGirl80 · 22/08/2017 20:20

Thanks kwik!

And Munro, that looks amazing! Totally with you on the exercise, been for a swim tonight but so looking forward to parkrun on Saturday, and a proper blow out spin class later this week too!

My eating problem is the same as always, paws: too much food. I have no self control re portion size. Not bothered by sweet stuff but I love bread (mmm bakery loaves with loads of butter, mmm sourdough...) Mostly it's healthy stuff, but I have no off switch and just keep eating! WW & SW both helped me lose a bit for a while, but I reckon that despite the exercise I'll be BMI 30 for life!

PhoenixMama · 22/08/2017 21:56

Hi ladies,

Nice to see some bfps here! Sorry I've been quiet- my mental health has taken quite the beating lately. Anyway, one of the outcomes is, incredibly sadly, my ttc journey is over and I won't be having any more children.

I have quite a few hpts & opks. Would someone like them? I feel bad throwing them away but they're torturing me.

I wish you all so much luck and baby dust. The one thing I will say is this - if you're over 32 please don't put off trying. I know you hope to have more money or a better job but time is so precious and once your time is gone it's gone.

Let me know about the pee sticks & all my best wishes for healthy, happy babies. Xxx

LondonGirl80 · 22/08/2017 22:46

Hello Phoenix, I don't know your story or want to presume, but just wanted to send hugs and best wishes for feeling better soon. All the very best. And I am sure someone will take you up on your generous offer. Flowers

witchmountain · 23/08/2017 00:16

I'm so sorry Phoenix. I've been thinking of you a lot lately and wondering how you were getting on.

It's a big loss to come to terms with. I hope you're managing ok. Sending hugs and best wishes.

Bear1980 · 23/08/2017 06:38
