Oh will add myself once I work out how to do it (phone playing silly buggers!)
So started my stims tonight! Not as bad as I thought ag all! I thought the final being in the fridge and a trigger shot would be painful not at all! Actually thinking did I miss my body lol!
So a week of these then a scan!
Also do we have to do these exact same time every night is it strict? There's one night I'm in late so will be an hour or so later! Ahh
Hope I don't have bad headaches like the down regulation!
X

Snorkmaiden85 · 18/08/2017 21:28

Ha ha paws, I was thinking just the other night that the cat digging her claws in is waaaay more painful than the injections!

Paws4thought4 · 18/08/2017 21:59

Hehe how funny I thought I was being a wuss! Lol

Wonky35 · 19/08/2017 00:01

Hi Paws. I am in Herts. Seems like quite a few of us are from the south east.

Paws4thought4 · 19/08/2017 00:15

Sorry London have just scrolled and seen your message. Yep so glad the stims needles are tiny! Didn't even feel them go in!
What's cetrotide? Is that another atom injection? So funny how we're all on fiffeeent drugs! The other one I'm on is called menophur(I think)

Just entered the spreadsheet, am sure have done ok?! Phone playing up.

Our kids better realise and appreciate how much effort we've put into having them lol.
These hot flushes are driving me crazy! Ah
So wide awake tonight and had such an awful nights sleep last night I should be so tired!!! X

Wish4Future · 19/08/2017 08:08

Hi all I'm in Wales, my clinic is CRGW xx

Everhopeful76 · 19/08/2017 08:25

I'm In Northampton currently , trying to move back to Bristol or surrounds of. I was at the private clinic branch of bcrm - consultant is lead - crap fertility but this makes little difference as regardless of whether it's crap or not, if your over 30 and wanting NHS treatment, you d struggle to get treated anyway from November in Bristol.
Hence donor egg treatment abroad as well as options for own egg, different protocols, pioneering treatments if I wish at same clinic down the line.
stork was at yr clinic wish and caution had it as high consideration at one stage. Funnily both ladies live near me. Has a good rep and great outcome for you. Am guessing more brizzle ladies will have treatment at crgw and Cardiff branch of lwc given the Ltd options available sn

Wish4Future · 19/08/2017 08:37

Ever honestly they have been amazing. I know they have a satellite clinic in Bristol now, too. Even if I hadn't been lucky this time i would totally still recommend them, they are so lovely and make you feel so welcome and nothing is ever too much. It was more than we expected. X

Everhopeful76 · 19/08/2017 09:06

Really good to hear wish. Most of the ladies on here have had their fair share of problems with 1 clinic or other. It makes such a difference at a stressful time. My Greek clinic, amazing so far. Hope to soon b bringing home my Greek baby 👶 xx

Chasing · 19/08/2017 09:38

Hi ladies, sorry to keep jumping in and out. We're due a big read and catch up on everyone's updates and are excited to see some lovely news from our check ins so far. Congratulations for the BFPs! And fingers crossed for those in waiting and those embarking.

We're really excited to say that our gorgeous baby girl is now here. She arrived almost one year (and a couple of days) from our first ever appointment with the fertility clinic. Although we haven't been very present on the thread we've been avid readers of it and it's been a great help so thank you all.

On the topic of talking about donors and donor conception we've looked at a few books and really like this one (features a two mother family) www.zaks-safari.com/read-and-comment
Does anyone else have any suggestions? We've also bought and saw a couple that we didn't like at all.

Pez82 · 19/08/2017 09:56

Chasing, what a lovely news, so glad to hear you've had your little girl and you're all doing fine 😍
On the subject of books I did a lot of research and there's pretty much always something a bit wrong with those books, like they try too hard and in some cases achieve the opposite effect than the one intended. For example, I had originally looked into 'the pea that was me collection' but now I've decided against the single woman version (volume 4) as apparently the story says 'mummy didn't have a man' and the picture shows a sad woman.... they have a 2 women version that might be better, worth checking.
I think I'll just end up getting more generic books on diversity and tell the story myself. This one about diverse families looks good.

Snorkmaiden85 · 19/08/2017 13:19

Congratulations chasing! That is great news :)

paws the cetrotide is to prevent ovulation from happening 'naturally', until I do the ovitrelle trigger shot. I don't really understand the different protocols but perhaps this is because on my short protocol I don't do down regulation? The cetrotide injections are a proper faff - have to mix it together in a little vial then suck it back into the syringe and swap needles around! Did my first one in the clinic so hoping I can handle it on my own tonight. I did one of my Gonal F jabs out this week as I went out after work (shooting up in the toilets, classy...) but not sure I could manage that with the cetrotide!

I'm taking it easy this weekend, just been planning my meals for the week (lots of fish, veg and pulses) and am about to head out to stock up on ingredients. Hope everyone is well and enjoying the weekend so far!

Snorkmaiden85 · 19/08/2017 13:21

Done a screenshot of the book pez, thanks for sharing.

In other news I had a really weird dream about giving birth last night, I blame the hormones! Dreamt I gave birth to a really long baby, like a sausage dog... wtf?!

tygr · 19/08/2017 18:50

Hello

Long time no speak.

Haven't been around for a while. I'll explain where I'm up to.

Had initial consultation with clinic in May. AMH and internal exam all good, HSG was booked for June with first attempt pencilled in for July if all good.

HSG picked up polyp in uterus so was referred back to GP for that to be removed on NHS. Am now on a 6 month waiting list - about 2 months in.

In the meantime, a friendship turned into a relationship and I got my hopes up that I'd be able to ttc naturally.

A few weeks later hope dashed when I found out he's had a vasectomy.

So, it's been a total emotional rollercoaster to be honest.

Not sure what will happen next. I've told some friends and they've suggested ttc with a friend and co-parenting instead of clinic route. As for relationship, we're trying to work it all out as so new and wouldn't normally be having what about the future and kids conversations after two months.

Bloody age is so bloody annoying.

So - have been avoiding thread whilst it's all been so up in the air. Still is but step by step is all we can do.

TurtleTree · 19/08/2017 19:44

I've added myself to the spreadsheet. yay to a good spreadsheet!

Snork thanks for words of encouragement. That is pretty much how my thinking is on the matter, but I've had a difficult day where apparently my family actually really think I should give it another year (despite this being what I said I was doing last year, and therefore have already done). So frustrated as thought they were on board - they are still supportive with my decision but I think it's difficult as it's still not a mainstream, common way to do things. I think we start to believe it is because we're doing so much research and talking to others about it, and I know I've started to become surprised when people react about it, because to me it is totally normal now.

Also on the dream front, I dreamt I gave birth to twin boys and they were biscuits (and still my babies) and I got hungry and absent-mindedly ate them. I was horrified when I realised as I had wanted those babies so much.

Congrats Chasing on your baby girl! How exciting to finally meet her.

tygr so frustrating when things go slowly isn't it? Sorry to hear you've had complications.

pickle162 · 19/08/2017 19:51

Congratulations chasing 😊

Im at a garden party but currently lying down in spare room will belly ache ,nausea still here but not horrific, this is more ibs 😖 l hate it!! I driving 2 people home otherwise I'd just go home. I love my little bean so much but this really is miserable 😭

Paws4thought4 · 19/08/2017 20:56

What lovely news! Congrats chasing!!xx

Ah snork that sounds like the drug im doing with mixing the powder and the liquid and changing of needles? What a faff. Also whilst snapping off the top of the little glass bottle with the plastic gadget it smashed in my hands! Luckily didn't lose too much liquid! Grr

turtle how funny re the dream! Did make me chuckle!

Do I had my first unusual emotional outburst today. I have a big garden and it's got quite over grown recently and it's horrid and bumpy lawn, I don't normally mind garden but I found it such a chore and was hugging and puffing and could feel it niggling my already niggly back, my mum said are you alright and that was it I flipped " why is this lawn such a shitty bumpy lawn, so many weeds and brambles it gets on top of me" and she just looked at me and hugged me as I burst into tears!! Now that's so the hormones because normally I wouldn't give a shit! Lol.

tygr ah so frustrating you must be going through such a mixture of emotions, we're all here to listen and advice if you need it. Hope you find an answer soon xx

Ah no pickle do hope you're ok!? What stage are you at? Do your friends know? X

Right am trying to attempt to watch the film "stork" now without crying lol x

Paws4thought4 · 19/08/2017 21:00

Also turtle I know how you feel I've had the same with my mum for months, she's only just started to fine round now! I told her I need her support and positivity or for her not too talk to me, because every time it was just all negative talk and can I not wait a few more years etc.
My sister who's got 2 little kids was also negative "it's so hard will be even harder for you on your own"
Very frustrating but hopefully that's the last of it now xx
