And of course you’re right, bear, my friend will understand. I’ll just be gutted to miss everyone - it’s a huge bunch of friends who have uni and/or a former workplace in common, and I’ve been looking forward to seeing them all, as partners, jobs & babies mean big meet ups are rare these days.

But I know he & his fiancée will understand- and getting pregnant is more important than anything else to me right now.

Hope all went well with the transfer stork, how long are you staying in Greece for?

My bloods cane back today and all clear so good to go in November 😀. Got all my dates today for the various stages.

So I heard back from IVI - 16 eggs collected, 8 of which have fertilised. O should know on Mon/Tues how many made it to blastocyst!

Please see below for puppies - the mainly black one is the one we have our eye on. He is 4 weeks only and we are visiting him on Sunday!

I am having a bit of a downer day, away for the weekend with girls from uni and their families and it’s great to catch up but because I am the only one not married and no kids it’s kind of tough. Kind of feel a bit out of it if I’m honest. Also doesn’t help that I am trying to hold back on the drinking too. I am sure it would be better if I could just share that I have been trying / am about to go through IVF but I am just not the kind of person who opens up like that (although would talk about it if someone asked). Anyway sorry for me post just feel a bit trapped at the minute cause I was hoping last IUI would work and I could tell them I was pregnant this weekend.

Hope everyone else is good, pickle do you not have gender scan coming up soon?

Oh bear that's really tough, I've struggled with similar things and somedays it's fine and other times it hits hard. Hopefully when your away you'll feel a bit better being amongst friends and if you need to vent we are always here xx

My protocol says the last scan is 23 November (approx) so I guess a little after then...!!!! Once step at a time!

bear I hear you TBH this is why I —accidentally on purpose— lost touch with lots of uni friends - my tough time was about 15 years ago. They all got married and started to have families and I did not. I got labelled the “career girl” but it really was not that - I just was not lucky in love. When the babies came I just found it too hard. It was fairly easy as none live close.
Your situation is different though and I hope someone does ask so you can confide and get the RL support you deserve.

Hi! bear Just to say I’m back from Greece, with 2 embabies onboard. OTD is sat 4th, but yesterday took a half ovitrelle to try and aid implantation, so now testing out the hcg!!!

I'm having a FET today and I'm really nervous. I've had the two previous fresh transfers under sedation (I have a very tilted uterus and had a couple of nightmare IUIs last year) but this one isn't. I asked the nurse at my most recent appointment if it would be possible to not have sedation as I'd had the scratch without, and the last couple of IUIs were ok, but although I am booked for it without, she never confirmed that she'd spoken to the doctor (I asked her if I needed to check or if she would, she said she'd talk to the Dr). I'd feel so much happier if I knew whether the doc was happy or dubious, or if she'd been spoken to at all! I'm just terrified I've made the wrong call...

Sorry to appear and cry at you, but any reassurances would be very welcome... The only person I could talk too about this in real life is my Mum, but I don't want to tell her I'm having the transfer today.

Just seen Ever's news - I am so happy for you! Very excited for pickle too, and keeping my fingers tightly crossed for stork and Kwick, and everyone else too.

Ok late, deep breath. You need to be calm today, so remember to breathe. As soon as you get there, and they run through the procedure you’ll know. They wont do anything you don’t want them to do, so bear that in mind and go in armed with your questions. If its booked without then sounds like you’re having it without, as wouldn’t it take longer with and be an entirely different procedure, ie you’d need an anaesthesiologist wouldn’t you like during an EC?

What’s the worst that can happen, take to your Dr about that scenario, and dispel the fear. Xxxx. Best of luck, but remember to breathe.

If they haven't told you not to eat and drink then you will be having it without sedation late. But if you had the scratch and the IUIs without sedation then I'm sure you will be fine without today. As stork said lots of nice slow deep breaths will help. Good luck today.

Good luck late -im not an expert on fet by any stretch but don't think putting the egg back in takes that long so without sedation you should be fine. I had 2 awful iui's (retro tilted uterus and mega curved cervix apparently 🙄) and for the second one I just kept saying to myself-what is the worst that can happen-I'm in pain for 5minutes

Good luck late, like the others said it’s about being calm and not letting yourself get taken over by panic. I have no experience of FET, but I am sure you’ll be fine.

My news today is that eight eggs were collected this morning! Am a bit sore and groggy in bed, but very pleased & looking forward to next steps. Transfer either Thursday or Saturday (and for those following along, doc says I’m fine to go to the wedding).

Hope all went well todat late and fet wasn’t too painful.

london 8 eggs is great, will you get an uptade tomorrow on fertilisation? Are yoh back at work this week or did you take some time off? Good news that you will make the wedding funny how these things often work out 😀
