@kwick maybe on the next thread we could share these tips in the introduction so that everyone can refer to them easily when needed?

Munrowalker · 10/09/2017 18:30

Sorry I've been MIA for a couple of weeks. Was having a really stressful time so decided to take 2 months off treatment. We also had a holiday but been home for a week now. We are going to commence our 6th iui this cycle. Just waiting for AF to show up so we can begin!
Feeling really out of touch as this thread moves super quick

StorkAhoy · 10/09/2017 19:21

Meds have been obtained. Asda were a no, as were other pharmacies near me, they all wanted a hard copy doc. Serum had included info on uk pharmacies and med companies that could help. Unfortunately no med companies were open at the weekend (I have to down reg on Monday!), so I called a pharmacy on the list in London, and they were so helpful.
They couldn't deliver it in time, but i could pick it up, so off I popped to London this morning and got the drugs, not without drama, but the important thing is that I have them.
Omg there's so many!
kwick FYI, my meds came to under £300 and I think evers were about the same, so that might help with a ballpark for you. I'm literally going to rattle:

Prostap 3.75 mg / Decapeptyl 3.75 mg injection

Progynova 2 mg 90 pills
Doxycycline 100 mg 30 pills
Prednisolone 5mg 30 pills
Baby Aspirin 75 mg 30 pills
Folic Acid 5 mg 30 pills
Clexane 40 mg 30 injections
Utrogestan 200 mg 90 pills
Utrogestan 100 mg ( for oral use) 20 capsules

kwick great news on the appointment! Do you feel happy?! What are their freezing& FET costs, sensible?

To everyone in the TWOT , stay strong!!

pickle162 · 10/09/2017 19:33

Munro hope you had a good couple of months without thinking too much about next iui. Keeping everything crossed for this next cycle
(I can't keep up either)

Stork so so pleased you managed to get the meds sorted in time. So excited for you

Bear1980 · 10/09/2017 19:39

Thanks kwick and pez.

stork glad you got all your mess sorted in time for down reg.

munro good to have you back.

I have been pretty sore today with cramping and a little spotting (which they said to expect cause they had a bit of trouble with catheter). Glad I am off tomorrow so can rest a while. The rest of the week will be getting cake organised for my nephews party on Saturday.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend

kwick · 10/09/2017 21:04

pez but that would require a high degree of organisation!!! Deal if you remind me nearer the time?

Welcome back munro!

Stork did you go to John Bell & Croydon by any slight chance?
I am still a bit vague on the costs.
I am obliged to use the Stork pharmacy (which is clearly no relation to you otherwise you would have used it!).
Well done on persevering with drug mission 🏅

kwick No it was Ali's Pharmacy by Shadwell station (always makes me laugh as in my head it's shagwell....) they went above and beyond, really. Especially when Ali's assistant forgot to put half my order in the bag and I was actually stepping onto a train when Ali ran up yelling my name to try and catch me, And he did! Bloody amazing! Also bloody amusing that this guy is carrying 4 boxes of fanjo pessaries....

I've used stork before at least you'll know it'll get to you!

They should know costs for you as its lining prep only, right? Regardless, you are on your way! Tres exciting!

kwick · 11/09/2017 18:01

Wow what service stork!!!

I have some good news: IVI found my notes and they are sending my file to Spain!

Latenightreader · 11/09/2017 18:08

Hi all, I vanished for a while because things were getting a bit overwhelming. I had a second unsuccessful round of IVF in August, but this time I do have two in the freezer, so vast improvement on the first time. I'm seeing the doctor on Friday to discuss the next move, but I'm pretty sure I'll have the scratch this time. Everything just feels so limboish - can't plan anything until I know what's happening next!

Hope everyone is well - do we still have the spreadsheet saying where everyone is up to?

Everhopeful76 · 11/09/2017 20:22

Aww welcome back Late. We ve missed you!! Sorry to hear you had an unsuccessful round but 2 in the freezer sounds good. The journey is so overwhelming. Hope you can have the scratch if needed and get started again soon. The spreadsheet is definitely lurking somewhere.

SO today I had confirmation that my wonderful donor lady has produced 8 perfect embryos. Currently on day 2, almost day 3, and they are all still going well. The clinic expect quite a few blastocysts so really hope I have a baba or 2 amongst this crop of amazing embryos. I fly out to Athens tomorrow afternoon, transfer is Thursday.
I ve had the test where had to send period through the post. I have a couple of hidden infections whereby I have to take strong antibiotics. This was a bit of a shock but hasn't affected cycle and everything full steam ahead. Feel really emotional about it.

Kwick am glad you have your notes from old clinic. No chance of having to repeat tests, am hoping for you!?

Stork Ali G from Shagwell station lol. Don't you know we're doing conception the hard way ;-)

Hows the 2w wait treating you Bear and London?

Nice to see you back munro

StorkAhoy · 11/09/2017 20:57

ever hardy har har! :)

Bear1980 · 11/09/2017 21:02

Thats amazing ever 🤞🏻 for lots of great quality blastos.

Haven't had too mich time to think today with doing the school run with my nephew and taking my sister to her scan appointment. I find being bisy is best as it stops me dwelling on what may or may not be.

Snorkmaiden85 · 11/09/2017 21:48

Hullo all!

Sorry for being a bit quiet, I'm behind with the thread but wanted to come back and update that I got a BFP from my IVF cycle! It was a big (brilliant!) shock as I'd convinced myself it hadn't worked, so still letting it sink in!

Sending my very best positive vibes to paws, bear and london and anyone else in 2ww, and to stork, ever and kwick for upcoming cycles! Sorry to anyone I've missed, and hello to new folks :)

late, great to hear from you! Sorry your cycle was unsuccessful but that's great you've got some little guys in the freezer, the scratch sounds like it could be worthwhile. Hope Friday comes quickly for you so you can plan next steps.

I'm thinking of maybe taking a bit of time offline to process as the last few months have been so full on, feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment so going to try and take some time to relax. Will try and check back in though! Hoping to see lots more BFPs Smile

Paws4thought4 · 11/09/2017 22:23

Ah snork was waiting for this! Eek!

Sorry not been around lately folks, been busy with family and friends which has been good, but then been quiet today and it's all hit me and been quite emotional 😞 Might take a few days off again as this 2ww is starting to drive me a bit mad now.
So just wanted to say good luck for anyone else in the 2ww, people starting things!

stork hope all goes well in Athens sounds like some good embryos there.
And all newbies hi and welcome.
Will check in again in few days after testing xx

Snorkmaiden85 · 11/09/2017 22:28

So nearly there paws! It is such a tough time, even having seen everyone else go through it and hearing it called Two Weeks of Torture I underestimated how tough it would be, it does funny things to your brain Confused Hang in there and look after yourself xx

Paws4thought4 · 11/09/2017 22:41

Thanks snork xxx

kwick · 12/09/2017 06:19

Late nice to have you back. Sorry about IVF #2 but as you say you have some in the freezer which is amazeballs.

Ever that is such good news!!! Will be sending you positive energy more than ever this week 😘

IVI found my CRGH notes and there was no need for me to do further tests. My file was going to be transferred to Spain straight away so hopefully I will hear something more later this week.

snork CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Such good news!!!! Take your time - we will miss you!

paws take care of yourself Flowers come back soon!

Yesterday was a rollercoaster ride - mainly to do with home removations as builder discovered the electrical installation made for the kitchen I had put in about 9 years ago was extremely unsafe and quite frankly I am lucky to be alive! Once this round of work is done I shall be complaining to HomeBase! I celebrated my near death experience by buying two beauty advent calendars Grin

Thats amazing snork congratulations, I hope you will come back when you have had time to get used to the idea. It's always nice hearing the success stories

LondonGirl80 · 12/09/2017 22:01

Waving at Munro and late - lovely to meet you, ladies.

Oh, Snork, that's wonderful! Massive congrats!

How's your twws, bear & paws? Sending good vibes to you both.

Stork, ever, kwik - so great to hear about progress for you all. Fingers crossed for your next steps.

I'm still away from home in a hotel for work. At least I'm 5 days in to tww and barely thought about it. Hideous cramps have been a feature of this week, and I think my team know something's up - no drinking, no coffee, no Diet Coke and the occasional wince as my stomach ties itself in knots. But let them wonder! I finally felt well enough to swim tonight, and that and room service as there's no big dinner do tonight are making me feel lots better.

I am worried about one thing, though. At work today, something went wrong, and I had to fix it. I ran through the conference centre and up a flight of stairs to get to the place to sort it out. Afterwards, I realised that'd done a pre-IUI thing, and that I'm not supposed to be running. I can't imagine a 30 sec sprint (in smart shoes and a suit!) will make very much difference, will it...? Oh well. Was quite surprised I still have running legs on me to be honest after two months off proper exercise.

kwick · 13/09/2017 08:14

You will be grand London - don't worry! When is your OTD?

OP posts:
pickle162 · 13/09/2017 12:57

London don't panic about the little run, of you went and did a 10k run it wouldn't necessarily be the best idea:
We have to remember that most people get pregnant and aren't even aware of it so act entirely normal (I know they aren't paying ££££+) so try not to beat yourself up

Keeping fingers crossed for everyone

Ever I hope you landed safely in Greece, can't wait to hear your updates xx

Munrowalker · 13/09/2017 19:53

London I wouldn't worry about it. I do a fair amount of exercise normally and my clinic told me not to stop in the 2ww. I actually do stop because I want to feel like I've done everything I can because we have such little control over everything else. But I'm sure a tiny little run won't have done any harm

StorkAhoy · 14/09/2017 08:32

Best of luck to Ever who is having her transfer today over in Greece! We are all thinking of you honey! xxx

PaisleyBE · 14/09/2017 10:42

Snork big big congrats! Flowers and Ever the best of luck today!
Fingers crossed for everyone in the tww, may this one be THE ONE. Smile

So, finally after some mishaps and delayed/inconclusive blood and urine results I managed to have the hyfosy yesterday. I'm gonna be weird now, but I have to say that it was amazing! I was rather worried about possible pain and cramping (I have very low threshold of pain tolerance). Tbh, I took Ibuprofenum an hour or so before, so I think that helped. The doctor was super nice and he explained in details everything - he showed me things on the screen and commented on every action he did.
The results were very good - tubes are patent and without blockage, I grow excellent lining and follies without any kind of stimulation. I did ask him about my rather short luteal phase, so he suggested that I inject Pregnyl on cd 20 to give the corpus luteum a little boost. So I will try that in my next cycle in October.
I know I should be super happy about my good results. And rationally I really am. I have to work on my PMA for the next month and to consciously appreciate my body and how well it works.

LondonGirl80 · 14/09/2017 13:28

Thanks for the reassurance kwick, pickle and munro. Rationally I know you're completely right - just needed someone to tell me so!

And good luck Ever today!
