Ok so ever I just went into my bank to make the payment, it takes a while for them to set it up, and do their due diligence, but it's easy enough, apart from it takes £10 for a 3-5 day payment (what I went for), or an extra £25 for a 1-2 day payment...

So is it cash payment for the transfer itself?

I have a lot of medication left over from my three ivfs that I haven't even used, including some cetrotide, which reminds me i must write a meds list to see what I can make use of this round and send it to Mr Doolally.

So are you doing natural cycle then and guessing what date you'll be transferring on? I think I'm going to have to do a medicated due to my timings...... they are fine with that, but eugh, more injections. But no stimming, yay! I can deal with the bloat.

But 28 days of injecting clexane with a blunt needle? Here's me thinking I'd only be popping pills and popping some capsules up the fanjo....

kwick · 03/09/2017 17:40

Blimey I am so behind on the thread!

Pez all appts still UK based - have not made connection to Spain yet.

Amazeballs news about the natural synching Ever! Well done!

Feel really bad that I missed out on the luck wishing for a whole bunch of key dates Sad

Bear that is great about the timing!

Snork you PUPO you!!! 🤞🏼

🐢4 weeks to get blood test results??? WTF???

lovelymojitos I have been taking Inofolic for about a year. Did jack shit for my weight - hope you fair better.

I WANT a purple speculum!!!!

paws I had a 3 day transfer and got a BFP. Just to add what the others have said: make sure you try to laugh a bit - said to aid implantation. 🤞🏼

Ever the lack of care you have received in the UK is just plain shocking.

Why the fcuk they can't sharpen those Clexane needles God only knows! Angry

Exciting times on the thread!!

I have a lovely spa day but am feeling a bit chilly so may have a nice warm bath now.

Haven't been feeling up to writing on here for a while, miscarried somewhere between week 5/6, so still dealing with the tail end of that. Glad to hear everyone is full steam ahead! Xx

pickle162 · 03/09/2017 18:10

Ah wish, my darling I'm so sorry. Sending lots of love and hugs to your DP. Here if you need anything xx

Everhopeful76 · 03/09/2017 18:14

I'm so sorry wish... its such a rollercoaster ride this journey and although you can try again the first time trying and all the emotions associated is v v hard. Lots of love to you xxx

I hope the physical part of m/c won't loiter for too long so you can start again as and when you do feel ready. Know the emotional side is far harder. No other words other than We re with you xxxx

StorkAhoy · 03/09/2017 18:55

Thanks all, the physical part has been horrendous but seems to be beginning to slow down, so I'm glad for that. My wife has been amazing, I couldn't ask for more support. My clinic has been great too, to be fair. I'm Ok, have my moments but trying hard to be positive and think forward to the next cycle. Have a follow up meeting on the 20th then hopefully have another go next cycle, end of Sept/ early Oct. Hopefully cycle 2 is the lucky one! Xx

Bear1980 · 03/09/2017 20:11

Aww wish I am so sorry to hear that. You and DP should take this time to look after each orher and know that you can try again when you are ready (physically and emotionally) x

Paws4thought4 · 03/09/2017 20:30

Gosh I'm so so sorry to hear you're news wish
No words can probably be of comfort to you right now, but we're Always here if you need a chat. Us ladies are really putting our bodies through it.

Paws4thought4 · 03/09/2017 20:36

kwick thank you not heard that bit of advice before will be watching funny YouTube videos tonight lol.

snork how are you re not testing early?
My test date is Friday 15th
I have a busy week of seeing friends for lunches to keep me busy and family party next weekend so should keep my mind off it til then

I'm worried I've over done it today, I did nip to shops and get some milk and other bits two big bags of things but made sure I carried one bag from car each time, but then sat down for lunch and tummy was aching and twinning. Eek did anyone else worry about things like that.
Friends wedding tomorrow will try and remember to sit down a lot

Had a real good night after my scare the night before transfer so that felt amazing not to have to get up for injections! Xx

StorkAhoy · 04/09/2017 12:16

Ever, just checked out the pic of Mr Doolally, he is young and rather nice looking. Not sure how I feel about that!!!!!

Also apparently they can organise for a Dr to come and give acupuntuce at the clinic before and after transfer! Am totally doing that!

paws, for your own sanity remember to take it a bit easy, and don't over exert yourself. And don't be afraid to cancel plans if you want to just chill. Take care of yourself!! Xxxx

LondonGirl80 · 04/09/2017 15:57

Wish, I am so so sorry. I don't know what to say except that you and your wife are in my thoughts right now. Sending concentrated positive thoughts and sympathy your way. Big hugs Flowers

Angliski · 04/09/2017 16:19

Hi Ladies

Saving my place!

38 years old - husband has azoospermia.
Tried 3 IUI's BFP on first but then miscarried.
2nd unmedicated BFN
Third medicated BFN,

Lost 11kgs to qualify for IVF so we are now waiting for first appointment - we get 2 rounds with donor sperm as long as they start before i am 39.5!

We have also decided to go to an information evening concerning adoption as we would consider that option too. I realise i am not that fussed about pregnancy - i just wanna be someones mamma!!

Angliski · 04/09/2017 16:20

Oh Wish i am so sorry i just saw your message - i didn't scroll to end of the thread before saying Hi. I am so very sorry. I miscarried at 6 weeks but it was missed so i didn't find out till 10 weeks - i know how disappointing and devastating this is and am here if you would like to PM or have a phone chat. Huge hug. There is nothing anyone can say to make it better. Except to know you aren't alone helps a little bit xxx

kwick · 04/09/2017 19:53

wish it will lessen. For my first MC I had an op, but for this last one I miscarried at home - it was fricking painful and horrible but in a way easier to grieve because of that.

Well done angl!!! An inspiration!

Wish4Future · 04/09/2017 21:58

Thanks for all your support, you're totally right kwick and in a way I'm grateful it happened earlier rather than later so I was able to just let it Happen at home. It was painful (physically and emotionally) and very messy but it's almost over now. I was shocked at how long it's lasted! I'm trying to look forward the follow up now and see what happens next xxx

kwick · 05/09/2017 18:14

wish I bled heavily for about 4 days and then more lightly for another 4

Munrowalker · 05/09/2017 21:18

I'm so sorry for your loss @wish

Munrowalker · 05/09/2017 21:20

Hi @angliski my husband also is unable to produce sperm.
We have had 5 BFN on IUI
We qualify for 8 rounds and then will be considered for IVF

kwick · 06/09/2017 08:07

@Munrowalker when is your next round?

OP posts:
StorkAhoy · 06/09/2017 10:08

I have to vent ladies.

I cannot get blood tests done in this bloody country! What is wrong with companies?! All I want is to get up to date viral blood tests so I can send the results to my Greek clinic.

  • GP surgery? Nope. Utterly useless, won't do it for me on nhs, don't know how to do it for me self funded.
  • Local BMI clinic? They want a referral letter from Greece, then they will only FAX (not kidding) the results to my consultant as they say that's the most secure way! Wtf?!
  • private phlebotomy labs? Want to charge over £500 for 4 tests.
  • private GP surgeries? Don't ever seem to call me back.

This has been the most irritating part of all my ivf treatments, hands down!

Arghhhhh!

Wonky35 · 06/09/2017 10:55

So sorry to hear about your mc wish. This process has the most massive highs and also the most massive lows.

I am massively impressed with your weight loss angliski. 11kg is loads!

Stork fax is surprisingly the way that most information gets sent around in the NHS unless they have a special secure NHS email address - which they won't in Greece. Maybe they have something similar - you could ask them if they have a secure email address that they could receive things from an NHS.net email address. Or you could get paper copies and send them yourself. Very annoying and archaic System I know.

I am now on day 6 of my stims. Had a scan on Monday which was disappointing as they could only get images of one ovary so no real idea about what's going on. Not feeling many symptoms tbh - a bit of fatigue and maybe a few abdo twinges but those might be from all my bruises. Sort of wish I was putting on weight and was bloated as at least then I would know something was happening!

StorkAhoy · 06/09/2017 11:09

wonky fear not, day 6 is still early to be feeling like a pregnant salmon i.e. Full of eggs! It's takes time, but no doubt you will. :)

So I found that my scan clinic also does private bloods! Yay! It'll be expensive, but I don't care.
And no silly faxing situation. Faxes aren't safe. They just aren't, I remember from the 90s when I used to use them! I can't believe the NHS uses them still, it's frankly quite shocking. I'd prefer a standard email to a fax any day in terms of protecting my privacy. Anyone and his wife can walk past a fax, only a hacker can get into an email.

StorkAhoy · 06/09/2017 17:18

Just realised that i sound really wound up about faxes!!! Chill Stork!!
