pickle, sorry to hear that. Hope you're reassured quickly that it's a cyst. These medications do change breast tissue, don't they?

munro - I would really have a low opinion of a 'friend' who required you to be 'supportive' during her pregnancy!

Hope your IUI goes smoothly. I will be thinking good thoughts for you.

phoenix - oh, that's hard. Hope you get through the time with them - and hope she's thoughtful with you.

Munrowalker · 27/05/2017 13:03

That's me out of my iui and just having 5mins lie down
Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I'm hopeful that this is the one! Clomid has produced a great big juicy egg and it only takes 1 sperm so fingers crossed.
Phoenix I hope you manage and don't be too hard on yourself. You can cancel if you need. Don't force yourself to do something you don't feel up to. Honestly you need to look after yourself right now!
@LDR needless to say she is no longer a friend. She was the only one at work who knew my situation and she was the main reason why I ended up having 5weeks off with stress. Well she was part of the problem. I think it was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Hopefully everyone is having wonderful sunny Saturdays x

pickle162 · 27/05/2017 13:38

Welcome to twot Munro 🎉** wahoooo positive thinking and lots of distractions planned I hope :)

Thanks bear, Munro & LRD yeh I'm trying to think positively that just a cyst caused by hormones and medication so fingers crossed Friday will be a good day all round

Bear have u been tempted to take a sneaky test yet or waiting till Monday?

Phoenix hoping your day with friends goes ok in the end and you have a nice afternoon. Remember you can leave at any time so if you feel uncomfortable get out but sometimes being around mates is all we need to lift our spirits a bit

Hope everyone's ok xx

Bear1980 · 27/05/2017 15:03

I took a test on Thursday and it had a faint line whoch was most likely the remains of my injection from Sunday. Took another test this morning and it was bfn so trigger is definitely out my system. No more tests now so will just have to wait until Monday 😖.

pickle162 · 27/05/2017 15:13

Least you know anything after then is not trigger.
Today is such gorgeous weather and the breeze is very welcome! Sure there will be some burnt people out there today not realising how hot it is 😎 I'm so pleased it turned out nice, I can distract myself with a good book and sunbathing when it's like this

CautionHormone · 27/05/2017 19:55

Aloha ladies!
Have been absent yet again (im a nightmare for disappearing! Blush) but during the absent period I managed to get my AMH done... it came back at 12.2 Sad the reason I'm not happy is because I'm only 26; it should be much higher than that for my age... Even the donor coordinator who rang me with the results said "it's really quite low for your age" - dammit 😣
My friend's AMH - who is donating her eggs and who is the same age as me - is 45.8.
So been left feeling a little down and disheartened, but also glad I'm doing it sooner and not later!

Munro, best of luck for the next two weeks!! When's your OTD?

Calz - a huge congratulations Smile its always so uplifting when we get a BFP!

Snork, sorry your pre-op assessment wasn't what you were hoping. Am I ok to ask what you need a laparoscopy for? I've just had one (end of March) because they were looking for endometriosis - bizarrely, I found my wisdom teeth extraction recovery harder than my lap recovery!

Phoenix, Bear & Pickle - I'm thinking of you all ✨

PhoenixMama · 28/05/2017 10:04

Hi ladies - thanks for your kind words. Was so lovely seeing my friends yesterday. Kinda broke my heart seeing Maisie with the baby, she would be such an awesome big sister, but all I can do is try, which I have been. Have been very devastated the last few days but am planning on pulling myself together today and getting shit done around the house. Won't be cycling in June so July will be my next chance.

Munro Welcome to the twot! It is absolute torture so make sure you're cutting yourself some slack.

Bear I feel your pain. I know its different for you because you were medicated. Only 24 hours to go. Huge hug x

Caution Ouch that must be so hard to hear but you've hit the nail on the head when you said at least you're doing it now. Timing is so important. I can't tell you how much I wish I started 2.5 years ago before I has 40. Its hard enough when your body doesn't play ball but worse when you know the reason it doesn't is because of decisions you made. What's the next steps for you?

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday in the Sun! x

pickle162 · 28/05/2017 10:29

Caution please don't get too down with the numbers, yes it is low for your age BUT it is a more than perfect for iui, my consultant told me the best results come from amh between 5-18 ish. If you were planning to delay for another 5 years we'd all be screaming noooooo don't do it. All it means is your plans for the summer are perfect timings

Ah my darling Phoenix af is really a biatch sometimes!!!! I'm so sorry it hasn't worked. I may well be joining you as have to have a months break too due to meds.

Bear keeping things crossed for tomorrow

I have put on about 2kg 😳 not quite sure how, hoping it'll come off as quickly as it came on
I can't believe I am wishing the weekend away but I wish it was at least Tuesday as work days go so much quicker

tygr · 28/05/2017 11:22

If this isn't symbolic I don't know what is.

Three weeks ago one of my hens disappeared. I initially thought she'd been taken by a predator but over the next two weeks she would appear and then disappear again.

A week ago, I found her well hidden in a bush, sitting on a nest.

This is what I found this morning.

Good luck to everyone.

Bear1980 · 28/05/2017 13:26

Thanks pickle and phoenix, not sure when i'll be cycling again, need to speak to my clinic after results tomorrow. I am hoping to make June work but will see. pickle when is your otd?

pickle162 · 28/05/2017 13:43

2nd June-Friday.
Bit worried af may be on its way but not sure if imaging things as don't usually know

pickle162 · 28/05/2017 13:50

Altho it shouldn't be with the pregnyl as shouldn't be out my system yet arghhhh just need it to be Friday now whatever the outcome. Out for a picnic at the mo which is A nice distraction :)

Angliski · 28/05/2017 15:13

Hi everyone - wanted to say yo!!

Just had my second iui with donor sperm and now in 2ww. We got a Bfp off the first iui but had an mmc at 8 weeks and now trying again. Decided to not do gonal f and this time round we had one happy egg. Will be using clexane and aspirin if we get Bfp this month. Fingers crossed !!!

pickle162 · 28/05/2017 15:29

Hey angliski sorry to hear about MC, fingers crossed for this iui. Good luck with the tww :)

Bear1980 · 28/05/2017 15:32

pickle it's so annoying isn't it, all the symptoms are just so similar and you have the medication on top. I hope the next 5 days goes fast for you.

Good luck in the tww angelski nice that you can join munro.

phoenix are you testing again or just waiting to see if af comes?

pickle162 · 28/05/2017 16:27

Getting there.....

#makeithappen TTC through Donor IUI or Donor IVF or just undecided. All welcome. Thread 8
LRDtheFeministDragon · 28/05/2017 16:46

caution, your AMH is almost the same as my DPs and she was pregnant first time with IUI. My AMH is 48 and it's a symptom of PCOS, which is a contributing cause of infertility/miscarriage (and 45 is close onto that high range too). 12 is high enough! You only need one healthy egg.

PhoenixMama · 28/05/2017 17:26

I'm going to test tomorrow morning with the test the clinic gave me. Feel like I should follow the rules! Even if my body isn't!

Snorkmaiden85 · 28/05/2017 17:53

Thanks all for your kind words after my appointment! Feeling a bit more chilled out about things now, but thank you for understanding my frustration and need to vent!

Caution the laparoscopy is because of my medical history - my appendix ruptured when I was 8 and I had complications (my intestines stuck together!) which required two rounds of surgery. The laparoscopy is to check for adhesions/scar tissue which could have affected my tubes/ovaries - the consultant I saw on Wednesday seemed pretty certain he'd find scar tissue, but I'm not sure what that means in terms of my options.

I'm now having a bit of a rethink and really strongly considering going straight to IVF.... Especially if it means I don't have to have the laparoscopy (which is gonna cost about 3k!), it just seems more sensible to put that money towards hopefully getting pregnant. But I'm a bit confused as the consultant at the clinic said if I do ivf I won't need the laparoscopy, whereas the consultant at the hospital said he wants to do an HSG first and if my tubes are blocked I'd still need a laparoscopy to remove a tube, even if I do ivf. Something about blocked tubes causing a build up of fluid which can flush out a pregnancy, though from googling this seems to be debated. All so confusing! I just want to get on and start trying. It never even occurred to me that my appendix stuff could affect all this!

Anyway I'm off to Northumberland for the next few days so going to try and relax until I can speak to the clinic again :)

Good luck tomorrow phoenix, and good luck with the tww munro! I really hope this is your time. Don't beat yourself up for your reaction to pregnancy news, I know all of us here understand that and you have been waiting so long for this. I've got everything crossed for you.

Hope you had a lovely picnic pickle, nearly another day down :) Sorry to read about the lump though - hope you can get some reassurance soon, I've had a few weird things like that that have turned out to be cysts. Bodies are weird at the best of times, without all the extra hormones!

Karen i just realised I called you kwick last page! Blush Getting my Ks muddled up, sorry!

pickle162 · 28/05/2017 18:04

Ok a tmi question- does anyone who got a bfp before -do you remember what you cm fluid was like around 2week mark ?and what do people usually get before af? I can't remember what i usually get but this evening I've had quite a lot of wet stuff, some thin and some thicker bits but clear sort of milky consistency. Scared it's start of af 😔

Karendvm · 28/05/2017 18:41

pickle I started getting a lot of cm prior to my bfp. But it was hard to tell as I was on progesterone as well. I always was a bit dry prior to a normal af. Everyone is different though.

TreasureInMyTummy · 28/05/2017 18:50

Pickle first iui I remember feeling more wet near end of twot and as I read somewhere it was a sign I tested and got a bfp.
Next iui I can't remember as I was convinced it hadn't worked so wasn't looking for any signs.

Fingers crossed for you xx

TreasureInMyTummy · 28/05/2017 18:55

Sorry to hear about bfns xx

Good luck to all those in twot - I remember the torture so be kind to yourselves xxx

pickle162 · 28/05/2017 19:03

Yeh I think I'm usually drier before af, i just can't remember, I wish I'd filled out my app better in the months leading up to this 🙄

Thanks karen & treasure really does mess with your mind
