Munro so pleased af held off for most of your walking/camping.
Glad they've put you on clomid and get to have scans, was soooo nice getting to see what was going on, this means if need be they can adjust meds
Place looks beautiful, I don't think I could manage 4 miles let alone 44, you are Wonder Woman
Good luck with this cycle :)

LRDtheFeministDragon · 17/05/2017 21:34

munro, that looks so beautiful where you are! I'm always envious of your lovely photos - please keep them coming, they're a lovely treat on this thread!

Good luck with the new cycle. Smile

kwick, that's a bit terrifying! Shock Very much hoping it won't come to that.

phoenix - they say it's just one of those things. As size goes it is big, but not abnormal, if that makes sense? So although they warn me it could easily re-fill next cycle even if they aspirate, I am focusing on the positives and hoping it won't!

caution - in retrospect, yes, I get right-side pain and had a shooting pain a while back, but otherwise, oddly, no! I do feel rather better about my waist measurement, as I had been feeling a bit over-round, though. But it's not lopsided and you'd think, wouldn't you, that an object that size would make a visible difference! Shock Grin

StorkAhoy · 18/05/2017 08:43

munro fabulous pics!!!

caution oh lovely! so how are they comparing price wise (had a nose online and they have no prices - typical BMI!!!) so yes Im being nosey as thats another reason Im going for CRGW as across in Wales its cheaper! This sounds a sensible solution for you at least for your first go around - Im very happy you feeling good about it!

PhoenixMama · 18/05/2017 08:57

We should start a doc with prices!

COpenhagen Fertility Centre is about £430 for unmedicated iui with then sperm on top. Stork klinic is the same cost but they have a 5% discount on sperm bought from Cryos.

Loving all the PMA on this thread.

Bear1980 · 18/05/2017 18:37

4:30 start for me tomorrow 😖. Taking my mum, dad and nephew to the airport. Think it will be a long day.

kwick · 18/05/2017 18:39

Sorry munro
Here's to clomid 🍸!!!!
Fab photos!

With all this clinic chat I feel happy that CRGH/IVI are not more than 30 mins away by tube.

Sorry @LRDtheFeministDragon did not mean to scare but reassure... #massivefail

  • technology/medicine so much more advanced now
  • they have detected early so can quickly sort out
  • with only one ovary I have managed 2 BFPs

Get to bed now bear!!!

OP posts:
Bear1980 · 18/05/2017 18:45

I'm waiting on a cake to bake and cool but straight to bed after that 😴

PhoenixMama · 18/05/2017 21:30

How are you getting on with the tww Paisley?

pickle162 · 18/05/2017 22:12

I am almost in the actual tww- the 4extra days are nearly over. Took my penultimate pregnyl injection tonight tonight....feking stays in your system foreeeevvver! So approx for every 1000i.u units takes a day to get out system, I had 10,000 on sat/sun overnight and then 5000 tonight and 5000 again on Tuesday but I'm testing out my trigger and keeping a log just to keep me semi sane. Twot is really quite acurate-it's the not knowing ,...if u knew one way or another it would be easier to deal with.
Early start bear 😴 I left for work at 7.15am and got home at 20.55pm loooonnng day but don't want to go to bed yet as want to feel like I've had some kind of an evening

Hope all your days were ok

pickle162 · 18/05/2017 22:23

Eek paisley you only have a few days left of the tww (so jealous)

PaisleyBE · 19/05/2017 07:58

Hi ladies, thank you for asking. Not having the best time ever, I have to say.
It is called TWOT for a reason. I'm almost done with it, though. My cycles are always somewhere between 26 and 28 days and tomorrow is 26DC. Not having much hope, though. My temp fell down by 0.3 today, so it seems like the most unwelcome af in my life ever will show up tomorrow. For "fun" I tested this morning and got big fat negative. I'm one foot out of the door, I guess.

I'm trying to be reasonable, I do know the odds and I do realize that this is my freaking first try, but I didn't expect it to be this emotionally taxing. I'm ready to go for another cycle, but OF COURSE I will have to skip the next one, as right during my LH surge days I will be back home, where a) there's no connection to Copenhagen and b) my closest family doesn't know, so I would have no excuse to leave a day before my nephew's birthday party. I try to see the upside of it - I will be able to save up & I'll get to spend time with my lovely nephews, but I'm afraid I will end up hating that one week of staying at home anyway. I'm so not crying right now.

Geez, I know that I'm being ridiculous, given all your stories and experiences here and I just need to move on. Onwards and upwards, right? Smile

pickle162 · 19/05/2017 08:34

Oh paisley I'm sorry 😔, still a few days to go so not completely out yet.
You're allowed to be upset honey, we all know the stats but doesn't make it any easier. Don't be hard on yourself: big hugs sweetie
My clinic only allows me to do every other cycle anyway (but that maybe to do with meds) so I will be joining you on that cycle if we are both bfn

It's def twot!! I still have twot to go. I'm writing a little journal each day, only few words about how I'm feeling, happiness, pains (not randomly hunting for symptoms) and doing opks just so I can see what the trigger is doing (distraction)

Bear1980 · 19/05/2017 08:39

Aw paisley that sucks, it doesn't matter how much you prepare yourself that little bit of hope still hurts when its dashed.

If this cycle doesn't work for me I don't know when I will be cycling again. Will madsively depend on when af shows up. I am in London for 1 day but it is looking like a key day in my cycle. Then on holiday in July and for start of af in August. Figure I will speak to my clinic if it doesn't work out to figure out whats best. I would like to try at least 1 more cycle before I go on holiday.

Pez82 · 19/05/2017 08:42

I'm so sorry Paisley 🌺
I remember being devastated at my first BFN , it's not that it gets 'easier' after that but it kind of does... i think we put so much into the first try, all body and soul. If that makes you feel any better I wish I had skipped a cycle after my first try because I was on progesterone supplements and my body never properly reset itself so my second try was just a waste of money...
You're not completely out yet though, it could be a late implantation. Stay positive, if it's not this cycle it will be another one soon. Xx

PaisleyBE · 19/05/2017 09:21

Pickle , Bear and Pez , thank you for your kind words. Flowers

I'm doing my best not to dwell on it and stay positive, but I'm doing a crappy job. However, your understanding did lift my mood. I try to get distracted by my work, but unfortunately there's not much to do today.
I think I can see ice cream in my near future (this weekend!)

PhoenixMama · 19/05/2017 09:48

Oh Paisley I'm so sorry. I've got a week till I can test and I'm almost dreading it. Big hugs!

CautionHormone · 19/05/2017 13:23

Paisley Flowers sending you lots of love. I can't give any words of wisdom because I haven't "been there" but I can imagine, and I can imagine it's tough and nothing prepares you for it... It's okay to dwell and have your moments. Allow yourself time x

LRD - that's crazy! I would've thought a cyst that size would've caused so much pain... I guess you're "lucky"?! If I can say that?! I'm glad you're pleased about your waist measurement - I had definitely thought you'd be lopsided Grin

Stork - I had to email them to get a price list - it really bugs me when clinics do that Grin
It's about the same price as Wales! A reason why I decided to go with Wales was the price too, but if I can get that price closer to home, I may as well do that - but I'll be missing out on getting to see my best friend monthly as she lives right near CRGW and I would've stayed with her! But needs must....

LRDtheFeministDragon · 19/05/2017 19:35

I'm so sorry to hear this, paisley.

kwick - please don't worry! I think when I posted I was just worried and would have been worried whatever!

caution - I know, right?! I keep looking at my stomach in wonder and being confused. I do get some pain there, but only once was it worse than period pain, and then I just thought I'd pulled a muscle. I am very lucky! So I must keep that in mind while I'm waiting for next cycle.

phoenix - wow, it's getting close to your time to test! Hoping you are feeling well.

pickle162 · 19/05/2017 20:45

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOO BORED

twot making even being a slug on sofa with trash tv not fun anymore

StorkAhoy · 19/05/2017 20:51

pickle twot really is twot. Nothing for it but sleep loads and eat warm things! Oh and meditate, and visualise!

Karendvm · 19/05/2017 20:54

paisley how many days post iui are you now?

PaisleyBE · 19/05/2017 21:41

Karen , I'm 11 dpiui today.
And how is it going with you? Is your boss being more compassionate and understanding?

Karendvm · 20/05/2017 02:14

paisley I still don't think you are out. I had the faintest of lines on 11 dpiu". And I mean faint. Another bfp it wasn't until 13 days. I still have my fingers crossed for you.

Bosses are being dicks, sorry for the language. I've given them my letter from the dr. Going to really start making a fuss soon as I've had a migraine every night this week. It's a long weekend over here, so I'll get some rest and have a short week, which is nice. Have an ice pack on my neck trying to get rid of this terrible feeling. Can't keep doing this, that's for sure.

pickle162 · 20/05/2017 06:27

Totally is stork, didn't help I had plans to go out for lunch but my friend needed to cancel as horrid things happening with her family. So ended up not going out at all and it was raining so felt a bit hemmed in.
Lovely and sunny this morning, so will try and get motivated so sort house out (without too much exertion and no hoovering yet!) & then hopefully sit in the garden or go for a little walk or something.

Paisley don't rule it out until AF comes and keep doing temperature as read somewhere yesterday you can get a little dip around implantation and then comes back up....equally if continues to go down it's not a good sign. Have you tested at all?

Bear hope you aren't out this cycle (although we have bloody ages till we find out!!) it's horrible thinking about how long you/we'll all have to wait because of other things.
I did this cycle all with annual leave but will be wayyyyy more tricky if have to do this around clinics and can't really plan too much as cycles are sometimes all over the place when they need to be good and good when it doesn't matter but maybe I'll try and pre plan and just book some hours out anyway that can then swap about if need be

Karen I'm so sorry they are still being such morons 😡 do you have a maternity/family policy because certainly over here we are protected by laws and policies and if Gp or midwives write a letter with advice about what we should be doing then the company has to follow. Is there anyone higher you can discuss this with. You are such a hard worker it's horrid that this is happening

Right I'm going to try and get some more sleep - 6am isn't my ideal get up time on the weekend ( as soon as this time of year starts I just wake up with sunrise, which is lovely but zzzzz)
