Phoenix , Bear and Pickle !!! thinking of you today!

One week down, one more to go for me. Seeing those baby scans here fill me with hope and good energy. Clearly, it IS POSSIBLE.

Well ladies the deposit has been made!!! 😁😁😁 A bit more timing stress this morning but I was there at 8:50 & done by 9:20!!!

First thing she said was my lining was perfect which is great, and I didn't even realise she had inserted the catheter before she said she was injecting the swimmers (16 million of them!!)

So glad I was proactive with the timing, it was a touch later than I would have preferred but given that clinics don't do procedures in the middle of the night it's basically the outcome I predicted!

Now 1 down, 2 to go. Come on Bear & Pickle!!!

Yayyyyyyyy Phoenix will be worth all the stress in the end :)

Yay phoenix so glad it worked out for you this morning. I got here super early because there are massive roadworks en route to my clinic. Decide to head through for 10 and go to big shopping centre round the corner. Done a bit of shopping now just waiting until it is time to leave 😬. Good luck pickle you won't be far behind me.

I am shattered today, not sure if it side effect of trigger or just the emotional build up. phoenix / pickle what are your plans for the rest if the day?

Bear I'm just finishing a tv program then will get fully dressed and head off. I've got to get there for 1pm so like you would rather be there in plenty of time...being late is NOT an option for me.
Not sure what I'll do when I've had it done. Should get home by 3-3.30pm so possibly a nap and a nice movie. Shame the weathers a bit crappy otherwise I may have gone to sit by the river or something. Find water very calming
Bear I'll probably still be driving before you in so wish you lots of luck and can't wait to hear all about it :)
Not surprising you feel so tired, it's such an emotional journey. I'm not toooo bad today, altho look friggin exhausted and not allowed to wear make up so can't even attempt to hide it

Oh, phoenix, what a relief! I'm so glad for you. And it sounds as if it was the exact right time. Now I'm hoping the waves of lovely relief that must be washing over you will be the perfect thing for those swimmers and that egg!

to you all for your kind words, you're all amazing. Feeling a bit better today, and have decided to implement a bit of a wellbeing plan to look after myself and keep proactive while I'm waiting. Just had a bit of a 'what would pickle do? moment, and went and bought myself a nice notebook/stationery on my lunch break so I can write things down and organise my brain!

Will catch up properly later as have to go back to work now (boo) but hope everyone is well, thinking of you pickle! And happy belated birthday caution, hope you had a lovely day x

I cried like a friggin baby! Chris who was my 3rd scan nurse was with me which was really nice, I like her. Speculum hurt so so much but stuff going in was fine. They they all kept coming to check on me cos I was crying. My sister and nephew have come to meet me tho which is nice

Pickle, how many people were there around? Sounds like a crowd. I hope they were tears of pure joy, not pain. So good that you had that nurse you knew around. Seeing a familiar face always help me to feel more comfortable in a hospital environment.
I'm so happy for all three of you, I hope that you all had a very positive experience.

Phoenix , are you flying back today?

Tears of pain unfortunately 😔there was the consultant and nurse to begin with then a different nurse who sends u on your way but she came back a few times. Just sitting in restaurant trying to tilt my pelvis back as much as possible

It was ok speculum hurt but other than that fine. Nurses were lovely and embryologist said all the numbers were good. Feels a bit weird now having no control over the outcome. Test day is 29th May so not much to do till then (other than shot of hcg next Sunday for luteal phase support).

When are your test dates phoenix / pickle?

I hear you, I spent first two hours after the procedure semi-lying on the questionably clean sofa in the shopping centre with my feet up, watching dozens of Danish mothers passing by with their monochromatic pushchairs.
Are you in pain now? Cramping?

My test is 2nd June, got more pregnyl on 18th and then 23rd may for luteal support

Pain like someone has shove a pole up my hooha but it's getting better
The lab are going to ring me later about sperm numbers and how many straws were used.

They did say you've got 2 follicles so there is a risk of multiples are you aware?I'm not stopping now -I've viewing it as 2 chances for this to work (& pray no twins)

Bear I'm the 29th as well but I've got no injections so can test before then lol

I did have a crazy plan to test every day of the tww. My thinking was that (a) I'll be wanting to DO something (b) I'll be used to getting bfn's the and (c) then I have permission to test and it won't be so tortuous. Not sure if any of those things are true though

I've spent the day chilling out & reading mostly as I don't have to fly home until tomorrow.
