Amazing news Cherry, you must feel so relieved. Have you read about the ramzi method? You can only do that with an early pregnancy scan done during weeks 6-8. It looks at the place the placenta is about to develop and based on that you can apparently guess the sex of the baby (97% accurate 😉).

I can't wait to reach this stage, I haven't moved from bed/sofa in days due to constant nausea and heartburn. No food is making feel better anymore and I'm worried I'm going to have to call work off sick again on Monday 😢. My mum thinks I'm making it up and said not to look too much for symptoms and then 15min later she told me she had no nausea for any of her 3 pregnancies!!! So she clearly doesn't know what she's talking about 😂.

I was given painkillers and antibiotics prior to the hycosy and whilst not my most glorious moment it was fine...

Phoenix, safe trip to Copenhagen!!!

kwick · 13/05/2017 11:14

@PhoenixMama are you all set for tomorrow? Best of luck 🍀

Very excited for @pickle162 and @Bear1980 !!!!!
Never heard of trigger being given post IUI - what is it supposed to do except not allow you to test early?

Apparently body creams, perfumes, etc can interfere with scanning machines...

I agree @pickle162 if you followed all the stuff in that book then you would be one of the nuns giving the wee-wee to make the injections!!

Lovely picture @CherryBlossom100!!!

Hycosy was a fcuking bitch!!!! Wish I had taken painkillers before hand!

Sorry you still feel so rotten @Pez82 but I am so happy for you!

@kwick
The pregnyl acts as luteal support so just an alternative to progesterone but yes delays me testing for 4days (bugger it) it's a smaller dose than the trigger

Safe flight @PhoenixMama, can't wait to hear how you get on

Pez hope you feel better soon

PhoenixMama · 13/05/2017 11:37

Aw Cherry that looks like a proper baba. So wonderful!

Just heading to the airport now. The trip from home to the airport is as long as the flight to Copenhagen 😂 Feeling very nervous but getting lovely msgs from people who know!

StorkAhoy · 13/05/2017 13:57

Phoenix good,luck!

pez you gotta do what you gotta do chica! I hope you feel better soonish!

Pickle you crack me up! Honestly I'm the most private person but with this stuff I'm seriously all: lie back, legs in stirrups, think of England, think if I get pregnant there's gonna be more of this and worse to come so best get used to it. There's a reason why they say you come out of the delivery suite with a baby but devoid of dignity!

Still having a wee wobble re one embryo or two when the time comes... which is weird as I thought I had conquered this during my last ivf.

Also just got back from town and those of your u with baby girls, H&M have the most adorable rompers in the world. Seriously cute.

pickle162 · 13/05/2017 14:06

Oh h&m is DANGEROUS soooooo many nice things!!!!!

Haha I'm getting over my phobia of the legs akimbo stuff lol as long as I get a bubs will do anything :)

Pez82 · 13/05/2017 14:36

Talking about legs in stirrups and losing our dignity, it reminds me that when I went for my embryo transfer I was already on the progesterone pessaries - no shame no gain 😬

Also I realised after my egg collection that the 2 antibiotic suppositories they mentioned prior to the procedure had already been inserted by the time I woke up! I didn't dare ask who had done it!!

I feel all these things are just preparing us for the day we will be on all fours screaming like an animal in front of a ton of people! The idea of a water birth is actually slowly growing onto me...

kwick · 13/05/2017 16:37

Yep no dignity anymore... but all worth it in the end

I just did 2 opks in an airplane toilet 😂

pickle162 · 13/05/2017 18:55

Haha I love that you did the opks in the loo- more stories to tell the kids of the lengths we went to to get them here 😂
Enjoy Copenhagen and the Eurovision x

Bear1980 · 13/05/2017 18:58

Haha needs must phoenix

Snorkmaiden85 · 13/05/2017 19:33

Such exciting times for everyone!!!!

pickle I bet it feels amazing to be so nearly there after such a long wait. Hope you're having a good weekend and feeling relatively relaxed!

phoenix all happening for you too!! And bear! Lots of luck and positive vibes to you both :)

cherry so lovely to see the scan and so glad to hear you're feeling a bit better :)

Sorry you're still feeling so rubbish though pez! Sounds horrid. Hope cherry has given you some hope that you might be feeling better soon! Look after yourself and do take time off work if you need to.

Sorry for going a bit quiet, I've been feeling really stressed out and low this week - combo of work being uber stressful and nervous anticipation/impatience about the laparoscopy. Felt like crying at work a few times, it's silly really as I know I'm on the journey and moving in the right direction. I think work being stressful too just tipped the balance too far! But I decided to try going for a run this morning (used to love it but had to stop due to injury and have been a bit scared to try again), it felt SO GOOD. Definitely burnt off some of the adrenaline!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend :)

pickle162 · 13/05/2017 20:29

Hey snork sorry you've been feeling stressed out, it's so hard when a bump comes in the road but you'll get through and will soon be your time :) if you need a chat you know where I am xx

Yeh nearly here, had an afternoon tea today and going shopping with my mum tomorrow
Only 22 mins till my last suprecur injection then 5 hours till I have to do my trigger injection. Can't believe it's nearly here, my ibs has been horrific last few days, just nervous but annoys me as I don't want to be nervous and I can't do anything it's just relying on the magic potion being in the right place and then my lovely egg and daddy sperm becoming best friends.
Least Monday I don't have to get up at crack of dawn, can have a nice bath then head off about 11.30 so not late and then hope for the best. Pleased I've got more injections to do afterwards as I think that will help me get through the twot

LRDtheFeministDragon · 13/05/2017 21:35

Sorry you're feeling rubbish, snork. It's very natural, I think. Apart from anything else we're all swishing with hormones - natural or medicated - and very conscious of them, so emotions do run high. Hope you get a good night's sleep and feel better soon.

TreasureInMyTummy · 13/05/2017 22:31

Cherry great scan pic xx

Pez I really really feel for you. I'm just starting to feel 'off'in the evenings rather than nauseous. Last couple of weeks I ended up not wanting to eat anything and then panicking as nausea got worse . Apples helped me through xx

So my scanwent ok - I still have a baby inside me which I was so scared about. They have moved my dates forward by three days so officially I'm 13 weeks and 1 day now. Also told me I have anterior placenta - it's at front so might take me longer to feel any kicks. Bit sad about that as I still worry and can't wait to feel kicks so I know baby still ok and growing in my tummy.

Good luck for tomorrow Phoenix love you tested in loo x

Pickle and bear sending you lots of positive vibes xxx

TreasureInMyTummy · 13/05/2017 22:38

Stork sorry to hear how you are feeling - run sounds good idea. Any supportive friends and family you could plan a meet up with? I had ups and downs too and coming on here helped as everyone understood the different emotions.( like crying because my surge was late)

Just to add I now cry on a regular basis -at least every day- about random stuff with any type of heightened emotion ( good or bad). So far I've cried at the first dates clip of girl with alopecia when the guy told her to take wig off as she was beautiful, a programme about gay people and a boy whose parents were jehovah witnesses and wrote a letter to say loved him but couldn't see him anymore, cried when I was feeling really nauseaous and my mum said how my dog was walking up and down living room with toy and had no one to play with, cried when someone lost in masterchef(!), cried when I spoke to dad as just dreamed my dog was dying and I was Holding her in my arms and cried when my niece told me she loved me.

Just a taste of what's to come for everyone xx

New shoes I really hope you are ok post birth and enjoying having your little girl in your arms xxxxxxxx

pickle162 · 14/05/2017 01:48

Eek treasure how lovely, another wonderful scan photo 😁 glad all ok,shame about the front lying placenta but hopefully you'll still feel wiggling:)

So I've just done my trigger 😁my last pre iui injection for this cycle (does a little dance) now to get some more sleep 😴

Everhopeful76 · 14/05/2017 07:12

Hi guys, behind again

Good luck to all with iuis today and tomorrow. Am with you pickle, bear phoenix
I hope munro that you were able to enjoy camping trip minus AF.
Am on day 4 of ivf2 but long protocol so grabbed a last min deal to Greece. Need some chill out time.
May disappear for another week as probably patchy signal

Love to everyone else!!!! DC warriors

PhoenixMama · 14/05/2017 07:49

So I had my positive opk last night. Just called the clinic & there's no one in who can help me till 9am tomorrow. I'm devastated. 9 am will be around 36 hours & who knows what time they'll actually do it.

And to make it even worse the guy clearly misunderstood me and said "sorry you didn't get pregnant!" 😢

Bear1980 · 14/05/2017 08:16

Aww snork sorry it's a bit tough just now. At least after the laparoscopy you will know what the best treatment is.

pickle I was also out for afternoon tea yesterday, today I am mostly hanging around until its time for trigger.

treasure nice scan pic, glad everything looks good and am sure you will feel your bubba in no time.

phoenix thats really frustrating, is that the only number you have to call? Maybe try again a little later just in case there is soemone different you can talk to?

pickle162 · 14/05/2017 08:33

Ooh bear how lovely, it was a good yummy distraction....I'm not my insulin levels were kept stable tho...oh well!!!
How exciting, what time is your trigger again? I'm going out about 10.30-2 ish then hopefully they'll be a nice afternoon film on -if not I'll just watch silly comedies like bridesmaids or something

My darling Phoenix I'm so sorry, hopefully something can be sorted out. With you all the way xx

witchmountain · 14/05/2017 09:48

Phoenix, what a nightmare, you'd think they would have mentioned being shut on a Sunday, especially to someone travelling from another country! Maybe show up at the clinic when it opens on Monday (which might be before 9 for people coming in for procedures) and that way if they can get you in early you'll be there. If there's nothing else you can do today then try and accept that and enjoy a day in Copenhagen. It's probably no consolation but there seems to be a lot of variability in timing of IUI between clinics so it's still worth a try.

witchmountain · 14/05/2017 09:51

Snork, sorry you've been feeling down. I'm glad the run helped. I'm finding work hard at the moment and I need to get back into prioritising running as much because it's something for me as for the exercise.

Bear1980 · 14/05/2017 10:19

pickle trigger is around midday, I am making the decorations for my friends daughters birthday cake so that should keep me busy till then 😀

Karendvm · 14/05/2017 10:56

phoenix I also think you should show up on Monday morning. I think the timing should work if you had your iui first thing. I hate clinics that aren't open every day. That's so ridiculous. Thinking of you. X
