Ooh bear that sounds all good :) my scanner didn't measure the smaller ones as she said they are too small to cause concerns about getting too big and risk of multiples. I had to ask about them and she only talked about the 2 big ones.

Witch yeh this one was def more brutal and less gel, and I'm not on af anymore so maybe I wasn't as slippery inside either but I actually yelped at one point and I'm not a lightweight when it comes to pain tho.
She was funny when she told me about parrot cyst, she said I didn't want you to read it and be like what the fxxx is a parrot cyst ( she obviously didn't say the whole swear word😂)
In a way I'm glad it wasn't the same lady as it will help me get over my fear of scans (give me any medical procedure it don't bother me,eyes, wounds etc, hell I watched a 10cm chunk of skin taken out my leg but internal scans just freak me out) but on the other hand I really wanted the other lovely nurse especially as it's such a special time I don't want to have bad memories of this bit (lead up has had enough dramas to remember)
Anyhoo gonna watch a bit of the island and try and get some sleep before I go to work this afternoon

witch, I agree with phoenix. I think the 'right time' never really comes. With my ex-H, I did it all in the right order - got married, waited until he had a good job and I was in sight of the end of my training, etc. And nada. Six years later I met DP, moved in together after a few months, started trying almost immediately after that despite the fact we knew my job would end at the end of that year. And now we are trying again with me, although I don't have a formal job and am just freelancing, which isn't stable. In my 20s I would have been really disapproving of myself, being so careless about things and expecting everything to work out financially. But now I weigh it up and I am not sure I really care about some of the things like owning our own home, or having a big house or fancy holidays, that some people think you should.

Yay glad scans went well today - I've never heard of a parrot cyst pickle but good to hear will go away on its own.

To add to others thoughts- I wouldn't have picked now as the best time , I would like more savings, I have bad sciatica, I'm working with work to get them to agree I can permanently move up to Liverpool from London - oh and I need to buy a house in Liverpool and rent my house in London in the next six months which will leave little money left over. But sod it I don't think there would ever have been a right time. I'm 34, I know I want 2/3 children and thoUght I really need to get started. Xx

Never given a thought to shaved legs for scan... I did go for a bikini wax prior to starting treatment- wax no bother but the regrowth: NEVER AGAIN!!!

@witchmountain new lovely consultant at IVI said if I am to use donor eggs then I have plenty of time BUT if I could turn back time I would have done this all sooner, much, much sooner.

I just spoke to the clinic and as I expected I am back on Friday, they said they will make decision then on when to do iui. So sounds like Monday at the earliest yay pickle iui buddies. Not sure what to do about work though, I want to take the day of the iui off but I won't know till Friday if it's Monday and I am not working Friday. I'll probably book it off and then just show up if IUi doesn't go ahead

Phoenix, I'm sure they are growing well my lovely. Me you and bear may be iui triplets (altho here's hoping non of us have triplets 😱) bear hope our scans go well, what time is your appointment on Friday? Mines another 8am one so another 6.30am set off time.totally worth being shattered

Haha yeah big fingers crossed for no triplets . My appointment is 7:45, I normally leave for work around 6 so weirdly I get a lie in when I have a scan in the morning. Will you find out on Friday if Monday is the day pickle?

I think so, I think as long as follicles big enough on Friday then yes as I would need to do the trigger 36hours in advance so will need to know, don't really know what happens if they don't get there-have more meds I suppose and delay things a bit.i think follies grow 1-2mm a day without injections so hopefully they will have grown their 4mm they need to if not a bit more by then. I Can't worry too much about what they are doing, I just got to do my injections and hope for the best (she says in the back of her mind worrying haha)

Tested today. Day 27. Negative.
I think that's pretty clear cut.
Period hasn't arrived yet but I'm just waiting 😥
Feel pretty sad about it as thought the timing was right this time. But heads up. I'm still waiting on bloods to sayou if I should have medicated iui next time.

In the meantime I'm off 3days wild camping with the dog. AF likely to appear mid hike 😵

Very sorry to hear that, munro. Hopefully the bloods will come back with a helpful result. Hope the camping is a good break for you.

Munro I'm so sorry to hear that, but if af not here there is still a chance?, was it day 12 after iui? Glad your having bloods tho so you don't have to keep trying non medicated if that's not the right route for you. Honestly I am so relieved that I'm doing medicated, obviously not everyone needs it but just knowing that I'm having the scans and then a trigger makes me feel better than I'm not relying on peeing on a stick but that's just me I like to have control and feel much more in control this way. We've had so many bfps on non medicated they clearly both work....argh I'm rambling sorry.
I hope you have a lovely time on you wild camping and that nasty af doesn't show up x

Munro did you have iui on 2nd May? If so probably too early to test as usually 14 days post iui that would show up and yesterday would have been ? Day 8 after iui. Did they advise and otd for you to do the test on?

I know!!! This cycle is messed up. My cycles are always bang on 28 days but I am only 8 days post iui.
But I feel like af is on her way as usual.
I'm gonna try not to worry about it. If she hasn't arrived over the weekend then I'll test when I'm back.
Tbh I think I'll be relieved if I do go on to medicated. I can't cope with the uncertainty of peeing on a stick and 'hoping' I got the right day!

Yeh I remember you lh surge was later this month wasn't it. With medicated all you need to wait for is first day of af ring in and then start meds and have scans along the way and then they can see if it's yay or nay.
I hope you have a lovely weekend away that provides a good distraction and see whether it's plan a or b

Munro, I'm less regular than you but when my surge was late my period was always late. So I could get a surge on day 14 or day 20 but my period would always arrive about 13 days after the surge +/- 1.

Either way camping seems like the best thing to be doing!

Munro I'm so sorry to hear about your bfn. I don't have anything else to add but just wanted to send hugs and solidarity. Hang in there and enjoy your camping!

Munro, you wouldn't get a BFP on 8dpiui. Any fertilised egg would just be getting ready to implant and then it takes a few days for HCG to pick up. If you feel AF it's on her way it could be a good thing as implantation gives a lot of cramping. You're totally not out yet!!! I got my first faint line of day 11 post egg retrieval (day of fertilisation) and the egg was back in my uterus after only 5 days. A lot of them naturally take longer to travel down the tubes.

Thanks guys! I'm not doing anything to risk a very slight possible BFP but I'm preparing myself now for AF.

Munro 8 days is way too early. And the cramping and feeling like af is about to start was how I felt until I was 6 weeks pregnant! Test again in 5 days. Fingers crossed for you.

Munro in case it wasn't clear I meant I think camping isa great thing to be doing - get on with life and see what the test says in a few days time if your period doesn't show up.

I can't concentrate at work today. Thankfully I'm on a shoot so not having to focus too much but getting excited. First flashing smiley today. (I don't get scans so that's all I've got lol!)

Oh Phoenix hopefully you will get a solid face soon it's all happening.
