Bear i was really bloated. Very uncomfortable. I had 8 mature follicles with heaps of little ones. My e2 was over 3000. They let me ovulate on my own and it was so painful. I blew a 5 cm cyst on my left ovary and another cyst on my right. I could sit down for days. I was in extreme pain for 2 weeks until I finally went back in for a scan because at that point I had no idea what was going on. The cysts delayed my cycle by 10 days and I had to go back on the pill to calm my ovaries down. For about 5 cycles after that I had a painful right ovary all the time. It did eventually get better but it scared me. Even doing half the dose of letrazole worried me but they wouldn't consider unmedicated. If this cycle hadn't resulted in a bfp I was switching REs again.

How are you getting on with the meds bear? When's ur next appointment (sorry brain frazzledness continues)
Only 2days and 13 hours till my next scan

Hi ladies... Turns out I survived the anaesthetic yet again (I'm getting good at that, aren't I? ) and I'm alive!
Think I had a few complications post surgery though as the extraction sites bled for quite a while, and I'm still in a lot of pain, so going back to the dentist tomorrow I think for a check up just to make sure it's not dry socket 😣 Sick of being in pain/being poorly now... It's draining me!

Shoes!!!! Congratulations to you!!!! I was convinced you were having a boy - I bet she's absolutely beautiful! Great weight too 😍 Can't wait to find out her name!

Pickle; everything is so close now!! You must be so excited and buzzing... I would be! I'm getting really impatient now myself just want to get started. When do you think your IUI will be?

Karen, I'm a bit behind but your boss sounds like a right cow. I wouldn't worry about her snobbishness and just focus on doing you and what's best for your body/baby.

What are your ttc plans now?

I'm doing surprisingly ok,the injections are helping keeping me occupied and 2 more scans this week plus lunch out and an afternoon tea to help me get through :)
Iui kind of depends on the scan on Wednesday and Friday but current prediction by nurses is Monday afternoon 😁🤗😁🤗 but that's based on standard protocol, which I have found out many a time along this journey, my journey is rarely standard 🙄

My TTC plans are just keep losing weight until beginning of August. Unsure of whether I actually want to have my initial consult etc with the clinic before August (so within the next few weeks or so) or just wait and start everything in August, because I've got a full, stressful month in July and don't know whether it's just best to keep losing weight and hammering that, or see them now. When I rang my clinic, they said that it'll only be a few weeks from consult to actual treatment, so I don't much of a problem with waiting... I don't know what to do for the best, cos I'm also moving house some point within the next month/six weeks.

Glad you're doing well; I suppose the injections are a good way of counting down the days too?! Doing that every will make it go quicker hopefully, especially with two scans this week!

Well potentially could be the 12th if everything super developed on Wednesday but hoping for the gradual approach so get nice juicy egg rather over developed over ripe egg . I do have a scan on your birthday whatever happens.

Oh karen that sounds really painful I'm surprised they wouldn't switch to unmedicated after that.

pickle I am doing ok with the meds, last tablets tomorrow and so far no real side effects. I have scan on Wednesday as well so guess I will see what happens there and find out next steps. They did tell me everything at consent but I really can't remember. I am going to ask on Wed when they expect iui to be so I can take it off work because clinic is quite far from me (although monitoring scans just a mile from my work so have been able to sneak off for them so far on the pretence of a meeting ).

Just did my 2 injections, I somehow lost about 0.2ml somewhere so that's not good 😫😱😳 2 more to go before scan. Can't believe I've done 6 days of injections already

Ladies, thank you for your kind words of support. I'm finally in my hotel room. It took forever to get out of the airport by train, there was some kind of series of delays, but I managed to find the right one.
I'm in a very positive state of mind and I hope that it will not leave me before the procedure tomorrow.
I'm hesitant whether to do an opk tomorrow morning. And whether to keep checking my temperature during tww. Anyone temping here with an opinion?

Good luck tomorrow Paisley, are you on any meds? If not you can keep temping if you've got a track record of a few months and know your pattern. I temped during my TWWs and it told me before testing that it hadn't worked but if it had had worked it would have shown me this too! I didn't temp for my positive cycle as I was on IVF meds the whole time.

Glad you're alive Caution! Hope the pain gets better soon, I bled terribly when I had my 4 wisdom teeth extracted and it took a while until I truly believed they were gone, they felt as if they were still there for months!! So many times I wanted to go back to the dentist and ask him to check they had indeed removed them 😁

kwick - they do blood tests (the commonest cause of miscarriage is a blood clotting disorder). I've tested positive, but it's one of those tests you have to repeat to be sure, so that's tomorrow. The treatment would be injections through the first trimester. Then they do an ultrasound to check for a blockage in the tubes. Normally, they'd do more tests - they are really geared up to test women who have miscarried very recently, usually in the hospital itself. Because my miscarriages were now all five+ years ago, there's just much less they can do. But I'm very glad they are doing it - just confused about the whole process.

One positive - my period hasn't started yet so, in theory, day 1 could be tomorrow and if I can run around like a mad thing getting sperm, test results and meds all lined up, I might be able to go this cycle.

Now I've wittered on! When is your appointment tomorrow? I will be crossing my fingers for you!

Thanks @LRDtheFeministDragon I have had the blood clotting - no issues. They seem to think it is the age of my eggs.

Welcome back Caution! I had dry socket with all of my extractions and it is BRUTAL. Def get them to check it out. Hope you're ok!

I'm officially in TWW now, my first IUI is done. It was very nice experience, very private and positive. I couldn't stop smiling the whole time, I even laughed out loud when the nurse (?) left to prepare the sperm. I'm not the greatest fan of internal ultrasound, but it went so easily. There was lovely music in the background and I didn't have to force myself to feel relaxed and think positively. But still, I hope that I won't have to repeat it. I was given a pregnancy test as a gift and then I left. It is a lovely sunny day here in CPH, but rather cold and windy, so in order to keep my kidneys and feet warm, I'm staying inside a shopping centre for the moment.

Gotta find that pineapple juice now!

Phoenix , I went to Sellmer Clinic. It is a tiny establishment (4 people max), but I love the atmosphere. Now munching on a cinnamon bun and pineapple pieces. No juice in sight here!

It's the pineapple core you need to it. Sainsbury's stock juicy ready to eat pineapples if you struggle to find some 😉

I have the whole fruit ready waiting for me at home. I'll eat some before going to bed. The downside is that I don't really like it, it makes my stomach hurt. But I think I can manage few pieces (or just pure core, haha) for 5 days. Bigger picture!
