Hello, I'm a single mum (going through divorce) just wondering if there are any others like me out there that just want to chat in the evening after the kids have gone to bed. I feel very lonely.
Please come and say hi.

It can get lonely, luckily for me my young kids don't go to bed on time, so I'm constantly telling them to go to sleep.

Sh084868 · 18/01/2019 17:37

At least you've got them to keep you going! It really does get lonely . I've got loads of friends and family but it's actually nice to have a different group of people to talk too who aren't emotionally attached to the situation & who have NO idea how you're feeling ! So grateful for this chat !

westernchampion · 18/01/2019 17:48

There are times when they aren't home and its quiet, so I try and get things done or go out. If you've got friends and family that's good. you are so right about these forums.

I'm going out with a girlfriend tomorrow night. Just for a coke. Back early. It's the first time I've been out since being alone! (9 months)

Good for you Rose, Hope you have a great night. I haven't been out with friends for ages. Hoping to put that right soon.

Knockerefc · 18/01/2019 23:39

I'm going through a seperation. Moved out of the house 5 months ago. Struggling with my 13 year old daughter and arguing.
I tried to pick her up this evening at 1730 as it's my weekend but she said she wanted to chill at home with mum and I was to early.
When I said fine do what you like and your mum will have to drop you off at mine later it all kicked off as usual.
Surely 1730 in the evening when I've not seen her for two weeks is not unreasonable?
But as per usual it's me who gets the blame despite everything else my wife has put me through.

Evening all! Painting windowsills and doors for me today! Rock n roll I hear you say? Ha ha. Meeting a friend I haven't seen in a while - going to see the Stan and Ollie film at 6 ( if I can keep my eyes open). Anyone here? Shall I put the kettle on - one sugar or 2?

Frickssake · 19/01/2019 16:23

Knock - could you pick her up later and /or take her for food? Would that help the process do you think?

Frickssake · 19/01/2019 16:25

I'm just off to browse MN then I'll check back here to see if anyone's on. Then I'm off for a shower ( I'm coming, Stan and Ollie!)

RoseMartha · 19/01/2019 16:28

Hi sending a hug

Frickssake · 19/01/2019 16:31

Sending one right back for all of us in here tonight. ( Squishes up on sofa). Wine or tea or tissues?

westernchampion · 19/01/2019 16:33

Hello I'm here. Let us know what the film is like I've heard it's good.

Frickssake · 19/01/2019 16:35

Will do. Would it be really naughty to take 2 spoons and smuggle in Ben & Jerry's? Bree it's cold out there today! How's everyone?

Frickssake · 19/01/2019 16:39

BRRRR! not Bree! Time for me to get ready. Have a good evening folks - talk later

westernchampion · 19/01/2019 16:43

Taking snacks into the cinema is a must these days. Go for it and have a great evening.

Knockerefc · 19/01/2019 17:04

I'm here at the moment. Might go for a walk in a bit. Nothing exciting today other than a late lunch of pasta tuna.

Knockerefc · 19/01/2019 17:08

Frickssake I've heard of taking snacks into the cinema like sweets and crisps but two spoons and ice cream!!!!
Bloody hell that's made me chuckle😃

Rosewilliam · 19/01/2019 17:40

Have a good evening everyone! I'll catch up later when I'm back!

greyspottedgoose · 19/01/2019 18:22

Quite often see McDonald's smuggled into our local cinema 🤭

westernchampion · 19/01/2019 20:53

Not seen that before. They must know it goes on though. I think they are more concerned with people recording films.

Frickssake · 19/01/2019 21:05

I'm back! Tricks sake it's cold out there. Really fancy a takeaway but had an m&s curry last night so.........

Anyway - what have I missed? Did you start the party without me?

westernchampion · 19/01/2019 21:14

Was it a good film? It is a bit cold out there isn't it.

Frickssake · 19/01/2019 21:42

Yes - very - AND I'm sure they had the heating off. My friend and I were huddled under our coats shivering,!
Film was ok, should've been a bit shorter IMHO.

westernchampion · 19/01/2019 21:52

Maybe it was the ice cream. I don't get chance to go to the cinema much unless it's with the kids which I quite like doing.

Frickssake · 19/01/2019 22:19

Last film I went to see was Bohemian Rhapsody. Anyone seen it?
