If this goes horribly wrong it is not my fault.....

Sorry Amber my week has been a cross between the Twilight Zone and soap opera with falling ratings at Christmas.

Today's joy looking after dDad while working. It feels like the toddler years are back (minus trying to fish fuzzy felt out of bottoms and sultanas out of noses hopefully). Thankfully they have superfast internet so I can "work".

Pilates in an hour. Not sure I'm up for it or in the mood to be honest but it's the first one back in the gym since autumn

Mrsmadevans · 20/05/2021 19:42

Gen don't worry about the ratty Drs , just look after yourself sweetie Smile
Spends Aldi 7 , B&M 5 , bought lots of cat food for Bob's cats much cheaper than anywhere else .

AmberIsACertainty · 20/05/2021 23:44

NSD but I've had the heating on. There's a storm and it's draughty and cold. Managed to get out for a walk in between rain showers.

Glad you finally got some painkillers Gen hope you make a swift recovery.

Hope you enjoyed pilates Wolf

Haven't read back properly & haven't kept up as work has taken another dip this week, but not back in until Tuesday, woohoo!
Sewing Bee was good again
Doing my best to keep Dd on an even keel despite the relentlessness of her exams, not exams, but she is struggling.
Just booked Dh & I for a folk festival in August. Too old for the portaloos and showers so have booked a hotel nearby!! Need things to look forward to. £600 in total.
Camping this weekend with friends, need the rain to stop.

ememem84 · 21/05/2021 07:25

Haven’t been keeping up really. But I’m now on annual leave for 2 weeks!!!!!!

SnugglySnerd · 21/05/2021 18:22

£9 (ish) lunch
£300 second half of money for tomorrow's window fitting (hopefully if the weather holds)

Had a very nice day with some of the Frugaleers in a nice garden. Proves this is the best thread on MN Wink

Mrsmadevans · 21/05/2021 19:43

Unescorted · 21/05/2021 20:50

It is the best thread...

I am still so pogged from a £9ish lunch today.

Em enjoy your holiday.

North enjoy your camping..... you are brave. I will camp in the cold but wet camping is miserable. And then all the drying out...

Mrs I hope you are out of the flood zone.

Pleased you had a nice day.

I have been to Lidl, £27 but otherwise no spends today or indeed this week I don't think. Need to pay off cc (approx £330) and do a big shop next week them should have some money left to put into savings. A good frugal month!

Unescorted · 22/05/2021 06:52

Nice work Snuggly

Just to jinx the rest of the day.... it has finally stopped raining.

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/05/2021 07:40

I had an online shopping incident and bought a dress reduced to £12 on New Look, new pants £35 from M&S and a new cleanser. I blame the codeine!

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/05/2021 09:01

Need to decide if we are going to look at other properties and rent.
Rental I really would rather not and most ll won't take doggos.
Who thought buying a puppy was a good plan! Grin

Will look at other houses as we've been here before waiting for one who then shit on us.

Mrsmadevans · 22/05/2021 09:18

Thank you Unescorted am not in the flood zone thank God but where MumBob live is difficult to get to if it does flood. Thankfully not likely ATM 🙏
Snuggly am off to Lidl myself this morning 😀👏
Life it's so disheartening for you all , l hope you find something very soon 🤗
Gen l think l speak for us all here, you deserve a treat 💐
Yes Wolf l feel the money is free flowing too . I can't get over how much food has gone up in price . I mean week on week even in Aldi & Lidl!

Wolfcub · 22/05/2021 10:04

Mrsmadevans · 22/05/2021 12:27

Shaw's for a bra for Mum.
Primark for tangle free hair brushes , they are excellent, toothbrushes, soft, leggings and tops and 2 prs of very pretty sunglasses 27 cheap and cheerful!

Wolfcub · 22/05/2021 12:56

Home blood pressure monitors are clearly designed to raise your blood pressure. Trying to wrestle the little bastard into the right position was like trying to tie a live eel in a knot

AmberIsACertainty · 22/05/2021 15:03

Power cut this morning. Worrying about all the freezer food but it's back on now, thank goodness.

Wolf aaaaannnd relax Grin congratulations on taming it's wigglyness. Ouch at the new window though.

Mrs Primark is great for bargains, I love it. I bought unicorn socks the last time I was in there. Hope your mum likes her new stuff.

Glad you're feeling better Gen

Must be so frustrating Life hopefully your dream place comes up soon.

Festival sounds fun North. I'll do a sun dance for the camping trip 💃

Enjoy your time off Em

Unescorted · 22/05/2021 15:33

Stress stress stress..... Mum rang in a kerfuffle because the dryer was broken and the sheets were half dry. It turns out that the door was open. I am baking brownies to relieve the stress.

wolf there is a thing about blood pressure going up when it gets taken. Wriggly eels or not...
