If this goes horribly wrong it is not my fault.....

Sorry Amber my week has been a cross between the Twilight Zone and soap opera with falling ratings at Christmas.

Today's joy looking after dDad while working. It feels like the toddler years are back (minus trying to fish fuzzy felt out of bottoms and sultanas out of noses hopefully). Thankfully they have superfast internet so I can "work".

Congrats born’s DS
wolf sounds like great news, here’s to a new life stage
IKEA today so quite spendy - £164 - but got a new rug and lots of other bits that have made the house look better. I felt we were quite restrained!
Also, the first time DP and I have been somewhere just us for ages. I think we need to do more of this.
I’m happy about the resignation…but appreciate there are a range of views

Happierwithouthim · 26/06/2021 21:55

@Wolfcub

Teeny tiny bit of news here.....

I'm divorced

I really cannot thank you all enough for your support over the last three years. You've been amazing

Wow wolf congratulations are you walking 10' tall now with that weight lifted off your shoulders or how do you feel?
Happierwithouthim · 26/06/2021 22:14

€21.90 on cigarettes and groceries, for bf's brother who helped with move today
€21.45 on Italian takeaway for myself including dessert to mark my first weekend in my new home.

Unescorted · 27/06/2021 07:32

Yesterday was a spendy day... £56 for groceries for me and DD... Some treats may have jumped into the trolley. £30 for wood chippings to make the garden nice for DD, £12 more groceries because DD answered her phone and explained she just had to have roast dinner for today, £12 for McD after a panicked call from DD to ask if she could be picked up last night and finally £15 for fuel to get us the last little bit. Technically the fuel was this morning.

Today should be quieter.

At least 10ft tall Happier. I love that we've both hit major milestones in the same week. Hope you are settling into your lovely new house.

Mrsmadevans · 27/06/2021 08:19

Morning everyone 😀
I have to say l saw Hancock's resignation interview/statement and think he was very humble . I am glad he did have the decency to go though because of many reasons not just to do with this affair. A stable reliable Javid will do a good job imho.
Political broadcast from me ended here 😊
Hopefully a NSD for me today!

The house transfers to me tomorrow. Which reminds me an unfrugal but necessary £££££ spent!

Tayto how are you progressing with your separation?

I'll bet it is Unescorted!

I am sleeping so badly at the moment. Have spent hours awake over the weekend. I always seem to doze off about an hour before it's time to get up. Being totally exhausted it not a good way to start the week!

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/06/2021 06:50

Do you know what’s causing it humbug?
We are always ready to listen

Oh and £21 on a new backpack for my laptop. Am sick of having to carry it in an old shopping bag as it’s killing my arm. So backpack it is.

ememem84 · 28/06/2021 12:00

£16 new backpack for Dd. She officially starts in the toddler room at nursery next week. So it’s time for a more grown up bag!

Bought her a yellow cat one from next. 🥰

Cannot believe she’s moving already. It seems like no time at all. But she will be 2 next month. 😭😂

HumbugWhale · 28/06/2021 18:06

That pub and those yorkies look amazing Em!

Thank you Life, I think I just have a lot going on so if I wake up to go to the loo or something then my mind starts whirring. I've been trying breathing exercises but I just cannot switch off. So frustrating!

Pay day today thank goodness.

ememem84 · 28/06/2021 18:23

Food was ace humbug it’s 10 mins down the road from us. So lucky!

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/06/2021 19:10

Have you got a notebook and pen near your bed. Write stuff in your head down for the morning

marthasmum · 28/06/2021 20:37

em very cute pic of your DD
unescorted hurray for your DD being home
happier glad your divorce day is coming closer
humbug sorry to hear that, waking up at night os horrible. I was always sceptical about this advice but I have been running (in a very minor way) for a couple of months now and amazed at the difference it makes to anxiety. I make myself go for mental, not physical health reasons now. Is there any exercise that you might like?

HumbugWhale · 28/06/2021 21:08

That's good advice about the notebook and about exercise. I have struggled to fit any exercise in lately as I've been so busy but I used to go for a walk every day in lock down and loved it. I will try and start again this week.
