If this goes horribly wrong it is not my fault.....

Sorry Amber my week has been a cross between the Twilight Zone and soap opera with falling ratings at Christmas.

Today's joy looking after dDad while working. It feels like the toddler years are back (minus trying to fish fuzzy felt out of bottoms and sultanas out of noses hopefully). Thankfully they have superfast internet so I can "work".

That is a genius idea with wraps!

Bornlazy · 24/06/2021 17:21

Great idea re the wraps. I actually googled how to make the perfect wrap as mine were pretty shit. They recommend putting each wrap in the microwave for 10 seconds prior to using to make it more pliable. It really does make a difference.

£18 M&S yesterday then £25 on takeaway to celebrate ds1 doing well in his Nat 5 exams (GCSE equivalent) he got 4 As a B and a C so he's delighted.
£74 Tesco delivery today.

Born Well done to your ds

HumbugWhale · 25/06/2021 05:35

Well done Born's ds!!

Another wrap tip...if they are a bit stale cut them into pieces with scissors, brush with olive oil and bake for 10 mins spread out on a baking sheet. It makes lovely tortilla chips!

Wolfcub · 25/06/2021 06:23

Well done Born's ds.

Also on wraps making one cut from edge to centre and then folding to create a triangular parcel is a great was to do quesadillas either in a pan or even better a sandwich toaster

Unescorted · 25/06/2021 07:06

Well done BabyBorn. We have a while to find out grades here.

I am glad it is Friday -it has been so busy here. Also only 2 more sleeps.

Onwardsandupwardswego · 25/06/2021 21:07

Wolf such a long time coming. Such good news x

Taytocrisps · 26/06/2021 08:42

Wolf I'm so pleased for you! That's brilliant news. You must be so relieved to be free of your Ex. Are you doing anything to celebrate?

Glad it's the weekend. Busy week at work.

I've to head to Woodies (DIY store) today, to pick up my new power shower. And a new laundry basket - I went to move my old one recently and the base of the basket came away from the basket Shock. I guess I probably have it about 20 years now, so perhaps not all that surprising. I also need cat food.

ememem84 · 26/06/2021 17:10

£35 riding. Prices go up to £40 next week. Sigh. But I enjoy it and don’t want to stop. So.

£4.20 on water at adventure park. I forgot the kids water bottles. Ffs. I really begrudge paying for water. Would have rather bought juice or something. But none left!

I didn’t even want to go but Dh couldn’t take both of them by himself. As they run. In different directions.

Mrsmadevans · 26/06/2021 18:31

Evening everyone Smile
NSD for me today, although we are having a Chinese takeaway soon so that will be about £25 .
In other news number 1 hypocrite of the Pandemic has gone , good riddance!

Bornlazy · 26/06/2021 18:48

Hey Mrs who’s gone? Obviously someone you wanted gone… 😜

£42 Home Bargains today £30 Pizza Hut takeaway and that’s with one free pizza and 50% NHS discount. In what world would anyone pay £22 for a large pizza???

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/06/2021 19:56

Hmmm not sure how I feel about that resignation tbh.

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/06/2021 19:57

That's quite £££ for a pizza.

Bornlazy · 26/06/2021 20:04

Ah get you now Mrs.
Not sure how I feel either life
