If this goes horribly wrong it is not my fault.....

Sorry Amber my week has been a cross between the Twilight Zone and soap opera with falling ratings at Christmas.

Today's joy looking after dDad while working. It feels like the toddler years are back (minus trying to fish fuzzy felt out of bottoms and sultanas out of noses hopefully). Thankfully they have superfast internet so I can "work".

Missed loads but most importantly wolf a puppy? still doing lots of overtime. Bought a joules coat. Whoops

marthasmum · 20/06/2021 21:04

Great news about the test em. It’s always lovely to get home when you’ve been away though isn’t it.
tayto holiday sounds beautiful. We’ve never been to Ireland, I know DP would love to.
Interesting about the cats - when we got ours she had a kitten who very sadly was run over when she was about one. Our cat (the mum) was v affectionate with the kitten as a baby but seemed to get very fed up with her once she was grown. Bossed her at feeding time as you describe. It put me off having two cats together again so it’s nice to know it can work out.

It's fine wolf. Hope he is settling ok

marthasmum · 21/06/2021 12:46

Morning just wanted to let let owners know about the bargain insurance I’ve found. I’ve been very wedded to Petplan as it has a good reputation, but so does Bought by Many according to which...has anyone heard of them? My vet said they are good and I’ve got cover for both cat and dog for £41 pcm with 15,000 per year vet fees covered and cover for life. That’s around £30 less than I was paying for pet plan with less cover. There’s also an option to get 7,000 per year fees and 20% of your yearly premium back if you don’t claim. And cheaper plans too

marthasmum · 21/06/2021 12:46

Pet not let!! Blimey

ememem84 · 21/06/2021 12:58

wow martha that's amazing - i'll give them a go when cat faces insurance comes up for renewal. i have a difficult time with insurances as some don't cover channel islands. but will give them a look

How does it repel sand Em? I might carpet the whole house with it as ds is always traipsing sand in from outside Grin

No idea!! But fingers crossed it works!!

Maybe talc on it ? Dm always used to douse me and dsis in talc on the beach if we were Sandy. It somehow magically helps the sand fall off.

Spendy day today. £200 in Pandora on a bracelet for Dm for her birthday tomorrow. I wanted a simple bracelet with the dcs initials. However. They only had F’s. And not C’s. So we had to do a rethink. The lady showed me the “grandma” charm and the little boy and girl. Super cute. So I went for those.

And £35 white co on bath stuff and a trinket dish for Dm too.

I justified the huge spend on her by thinking we’d probably usually spend that much but over a few different gifts. So it looks more but feels like we’ve spent less of that makes sense.
