How much do you spend on takeaway/delivery each month?

Hi

My mum and dad would usually get a takeaway each weekend like chinese or Indian food when I was growing up. Im now married and thinking to myself what is the average for a monthly spend on takeaways?? One on a Saturday night... a mcdonalds in the week... is that normal? Say every Saturday night to order pizza, Chinese or Indian so around £20-25. My husband doesn’t like the idea of ordering food for delivery obviously it’s a lot more money and it’s normally bad for you etc.. I just think of it as a normal thing that most households do a minimum of once a week! Especially if you can afford it and at the end of a hard working week fancy a treat! Tell me your weekly or monthly takeaway amount 😀😀

Cost is usually between £25-40 each time.

£20-25 for two people when we get one, every month or two months.

We have one every week. Normally on a Saturday night as a break from cooking. If we could go out for dinner we would probably do that instead but we have a small child and obviously covid has stopped that too!

Cost ranges from about £25 for pizza for two to about £45 if it's something more exotic like Thai.

Payday Chinese which usually comes to between £35 and £45 for 4 of us.

Pre-kids we had one every week, could be £15-40 depending what we had.

Now it is just for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries etc. We can't really afford it and would get very fat!

I can't remember the last time we had a takeaway meal. No one delivers around here and neither of us can be bothered to spend over an hour going to get one. Pre-covid we would sometimes pick one up on the way home if late, but not often.

We never order in, I’m quite particular about how my food is when I eat it and sweaty lukewarm food is an immediate no thank you.

Uber eats and Deliveroo are huge where we live and the thought of my dinner bouncing along on the back of a bike in a filthy backpack in the rain for a premium price makes my head spin.

We only really have them for special occasions, such as a birthday or other celebration (if we can't go out).

Very occasionally we'll have one because we all really fancy it. So maybe once every couple of months?
