Morning all. Have to physically go to the office today, no motivation to go at all. I ate a frog yesterday but have a bloody bullfrog to tackle today/tomorrow.
Slept, sort of but had codeine dreams which were fairly odd
Ds off cycling with family today

Have a good frugal day everyone

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/08/2018 06:35

Sea You haven't got a dishwasher?

ememem84 · 29/08/2018 06:41

Morning. Am sore from the gym yesterday. Trainer had me deadlifting and doing shoulder presses with a 12kg kettlebell.

Dh is a bit sulky this morning. But I’m ignoring it. He’ll snap out of it.

I’m just contemplating getting up. Today should be nsd. I’m taking lunch in and have no need to spend anything.

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/08/2018 07:08

I had some tea and toast and fell asleep reading on the sofa. Today will be fuelled by caffeine.

£45 on kids clubs today

QuitelovesStrictly · 29/08/2018 07:25

Justanothermile · 29/08/2018 08:16

Morning.

I have a 'soaker' here too. Really pisses me off to come downstairs to a sink full of cold greasy disgusting water. I just ask now if he's going to finish the pots. Which gets humphed at. He seems to like taking the towels into the shower too, judging by how wet they are. They never dry when the heating is off.

Everything okay at work life.

Not the greatest nights sleep here either but work today and ready for the routine again.

I'll be popping to Aldi on the way home.

Not going to say anything about Bake Off other than that I really like all the contestants. Usually one irritates me but not this time, so far.

TakeItSlow · 29/08/2018 08:16

I sold a thing on ebay that is going to free up a big space in our house. That's good. Now I just have to make sure not to fill the space again. £60+ earned. Sort of.

ChristmasSeacow · 29/08/2018 08:17

We do have a dishwasher but we don’t usually put pans through it. I think because about 2 pans and it’s almost full. The stuff that needed washing yesterday morning was fairly typical: a big cast iron roasting dish (used for Boulangere), two ceramic serving dishes that had held crumbles, and a few saucepans. And kitchen knives. I always hand wash bakeware too - is that not normal?

TakeItSlow · 29/08/2018 08:19

I just put everything in the dishwasher, including plastic toys sometimes. I haven't actually put the bird feeders through, but I've been tempted.

WreckTangled · 29/08/2018 08:19

No sea it's not Grin

D'y know I feel much much better from that virus I had a few weeks ago and it's such a relief to be back to normal again. Phew! I'm going to get on and do things now, but not too many of them. Sensible head on.

ChristmasSeacow · 29/08/2018 08:28

Glad you feel better Take

Well, this is a revelation! I might need to have a discussion with DH about this dishwasher business!

ChristmasSeacow · 29/08/2018 08:31

I think if we put everything through the dishwasher we’d quite often end up running it more than once a day (bulky pans and what not). That seems mad! Do any of you really do that?

Justanothermile · 29/08/2018 08:33

I'm the same take, everything that is possible to go into the dishwasher does so. I can't wash things up as effectively as the dishwasher can clean them.

Justanothermile · 29/08/2018 08:35

Yes christmas, mines on more than once a day if required. Why not? You'd have to run a big bowl of hot water anyway. #bungitin #lazypersonhere Grin

Cagliostro · 29/08/2018 08:39

When (if 😩😖) we get a dishwasher EVERYTHING will go in it. 😍

I was going to maybe run some errands in town today but looking outside... nah

Cagliostro · 29/08/2018 08:39

More stuff in the dishwasher means more time for #makingmemories

WreckTangled · 29/08/2018 08:54

Cag Grin we only need to do ours more than once a day if I've been baking or I've done soup or something for lunch. Usually we're all out of the house for lunch so it only needs to go on once. I see no problem in doing it twice though! Might just do a quick wash if it's just lunch and breakfast.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 29/08/2018 09:01

When I had a dishwasher everything went in, it was bliss!! My mum has a dw and she has a large cast iron casserole type pot that she insists is handwashed otherwise 'it'll go rusty' 😐 I miss having a dw do much 😢 I wouldn't buy anything I couldn't stick in it!!

I would think it's perfectly normal in a family of 4 to wash all the breakfast and lunch stuff sea and then put it on again after dinner. If you bake a cake or something I'd put it on 3 times a day!! Just ensure dh knows he needs to load/unload.

It sometimes sounds like you have two babies to look after em

Glad you're feeling so much better take Did you manage to take ds swimming much in the end?

We are just getting up here, need to pack up and head home 😊

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/08/2018 09:16

Not really jam but I will dust myself off and crack on.

No dw here but I have had a space earmarked for it for years. Those cupboards are full though. When I move, now in 2-3 years.

ChristmasSeacow · 29/08/2018 09:56

Okay. Enter a new era of dishwashing most things! DH still won’t let me put his precious mugs in (even though de-safe) and he won’t put small Tupperwares in as they always seem to flip over and get full of manky water. But we’ll try the rest! Grin
