Good luck Girlie. Fingers crossed here.

Justanothermile · 28/08/2018 09:22

Just tell him to eff off em. Usually works with my DH (when his MH issues are not a factor, then I hold off a bit).

Fingers crossed girlie.

ememem84 · 28/08/2018 09:58

I asked why he can’t do two things at once while the rest of us are meant to. The answer? That’s not how he works. He’d rather do one thing at a time and do it properly.... which is why he’s wanting to change his job. Dealing with lots of clients is too hard for him.

I have asked again why other people are meant to be expected to do more than one thing.

Hes focussed on just going. To work today. So I told him not to bother taking ds to Nursery. Told him to fuck off to work and I’d take ds. Which I did. I’m not standing for this and he knows it.

He’s sent me two emails today about house things he’s meant to do. Perhaps we can meet at lunchtime and do them together? Nope. Your job. You do it. I’ve got my own shit to sort out today.

Justanothermile · 28/08/2018 10:04

Good stuff em. Nice work. #nottakingthisshit GrinGrin

I've ordered a raft of stuff from Hush. I'm not updating spends until I've decided I'm keeping. And I'm only keeping if I adore something as it's not cheap.

And some new sandals I've been after forever that went into the sale. The specific colour only because there's a 36 left, which is my size.

#notfrugaltoday

Dd isn't back until next Wednesday so we still feel in holiday mode.

Justanothermile · 28/08/2018 10:13

I've no real use for these but however...

The Friendly Frugaleers- Autumn is on its way !
Justanothermile · 28/08/2018 10:18

Sorry wrecked, I forgot to say whoop whoop for you Smile

I'm waiting for dd to get up so we can clear the last bits from the farm (feed buckets and a few old things to take to the tip).

Used the time to make hummus and a cous cous salad and clear round a bit. I'm soon going to bloody get her up though.

ememem84 · 28/08/2018 11:33

Am getting my engagement ring valued today (if I can get it off...) so we can update the insurance.

Also need to get a quote for house insurance. And cancel our contents insurance (for the apartment so we can get the same covered on the new house).

Then have to buy some veggies for stir fry for dinner.

And buy lunch. Too busy this morning to even think about making myself lunch. Back on this tomorrow.

I have Friday off. Or might. But have asked dh to take it off. He said he’ll see what he can do. But isn’t promising. We need someone to take care of ds as dparents are away.

It’s frustrating as I have to cover three colleagues work this week as they’re on holiday and things need to be finalised by Friday.

Cagliostro · 28/08/2018 11:45

Jam I initially read that as you'd bought 'a raft' and I thought blimey Hush have really diversified.

We are very disorganised today and ended up having McDonald's breakfast in asda before doing a top up shop, since we couldn't get a tesco delivery slot till tomorrow. They have new high chairs with this horrific demon face on. It looks like it wants to eat the babies that sit on it.

Em he really doesn't like change does he, he seems to act all gittish when big changes happen. I'm glad you're not standing for this shit.

I think the real memories for children are those times when we have a meeting of minds and when time sort of stands still for a bit. Aww that is beautifully put. I think life in general needs to slow down a bit and maybe that is what gives us these opportunities to just 'be' rather than rushing about trying to create the perfect life.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/08/2018 12:08

Well back from Dr's, am being sent for an x ray of my neck, so fed up!

TakeItSlow · 28/08/2018 12:08

Thanks Cag. That was partly why I took ds to those church services. I think that when I'm not here any more then going back to places like that will be one way for him to remember what it was like when I was. That concentration of sitting together in silence and listening to the music really helps to cement that in, I think. Going to Cathedrals takes me right back to childhood memories too, and they are always nice, quite reflective ones.

TakeItSlow · 28/08/2018 12:13

Yikes! Girlie. I was hoping that they would have a good idea to fix you, but on the other hand, nobody really wants to find anything that needs fixing in a neck x-ray. When will it be, do you think?

I just drove all the way to waitrose to try to buy gluten free black pudding to try to fortify ds, but they didn't have any. #TotalWasteOfTime

QuitelovesStrictly · 28/08/2018 12:18

My DC always remember every event by what the food was like .
"Did you have a good time ?"day out/play date/Scouts camping up a mountain etc
"Yeah we had Shepherds pie AND pudding "
Grin
em sounds like DH thinks life can carry as before .(lots of men seem to have this attitude)
Wouldnt we all just love to just do one thing at a time ?
Tough shit !

Justanothermile · 28/08/2018 12:34

If Hush did do a raft, I'd more than likely buy it to be fair cag...Grin. That chair isn't a great idea is it?

Will an X-Ray show any musculature issues girlie? I thought it needed to be an MRI etc to get the full picture. Did you mention being tired?

Well we've done the farm. Cleared out the last bits and taken them to the tip. Done. Dusted. Feels a bit weird. Dd was a bit quiet.

I stupidly gave the photo of Dpony which I'd framed in a cheap Tesco frame last night. Thought she'd be ready for it, all the ones she has are of her competing, this was him in the snow in his field. It got her all upset.

#parentingfail.

QuitelovesStrictly · 28/08/2018 13:00

Not a parenting fail at all Just

Perfectly normal reaction to be upset .
Thats why we always had lots of pets
The Circle of Life etc (not that Dpony is dead ) Loss is part of life and we shouldnt protect them too much.
Cuddle and a chat ??
DD not you and me Grin

ememem84 · 28/08/2018 13:08

So. Spends:

£7 food for Dsis who gets back from her trip today. I dropped the stuff off in her flat and have made up her bed for her as she doesn’t get in until around 8.

£6.50 (?!) on a sandwich, crisps, Diet Coke and a flapjack for my lunch.

Iva cancelled our contents insurance - due a refund of a mighty £13.40.

And have taken my engagement ring for a valuing.

Also booked an eye appointment.

Bornlazy · 28/08/2018 13:33

Cag when I saw that picture at first I thought it was in your house and I thought - you really do have more space (and a lot of chairs) 😂

Girlie I hope your neck feels better soon, it is a very debilitating pain and can really drag you down. I found a warm bath helped a bit and also check your pillows in case they are contributing to it. Jam I think the X-ray will show if the discs are as they should be and if not then would need an MRI.

ememem84 · 28/08/2018 13:33

£42 due in from music magpie for my old iPod. Less than they originally quoted but still. Decluttered it.

Dh still being an arse. But I’m ignoring it now. I’ve been sent more emails. He didn’t do his jobs at lunchtime (so that’ll be my fault because I didn’t go with him). Amazing how I manage to do all sorts of grown up things without him holding my hand.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/08/2018 14:24

Yeah that's what the dr said born he said it would show if the discs are about the right space apart. Am currently at the hospital waiting to be called in, my first ever x ray! Am feeling nervous 😞

mammynowanauntyIRL · 28/08/2018 14:57

Wow girlie first X-ray at 39? Will they give you a sticker?

Em because being right is spurring you on & he's just licking his wounds & feeling sorry for himself

Wolfcub · 28/08/2018 16:27

Girlie I’m amazed you’ve never had an X-ray. You and I are on the same age bench, I’m not particularly accident prone but I’ve certainly had a few. Including one which diagnosed a disc issue along with a few other things. It’s really fascinating seeing your own bones.

Justanothermile · 28/08/2018 16:31

Grin at the sticker comment from mammy. Hope it went well girlie, when do you get the results?

Always room for a group hug here clean. Grin. I know you're right thanks, I just felt a bit crap.

ChristmasSeacow · 28/08/2018 16:33

I’ve never had an X-ray either Girlie (other than dental, now I cone to think of it). Hope you get an answer.

I am queuing to return a huge pile of stuff to Tu. they don’t seem very happy with me.

WreckTangled · 28/08/2018 16:43

I've had a few x rays. Got dodgy hips Grin hope you get some answers girlie

A customer told me I look early 20's today

TakeItSlow · 28/08/2018 17:12

Hope the x-ray went well Girlie. I'm a total chicken and have had several x-rays without being worried by them at all. So I think they are probably okay.

I've had a chest x-ray, a broken arm x-ray, an abdominal CT scan, and back x-ray, and many tooth ones. They were all okay really.

I'm going to pay someone to dig part of my garden, because it looks knackered, and after a few days in a holiday house, I think I would like to make this house look a bit better.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/08/2018 17:44

Wreck I am so pleased for you, that must be a huge weight off your mind.

Jam You meant well though. Obviously too soon.
