Oh tayto & Creme I'm horrified at the thought of the border going up. Just 3 weeks ago I drove across the border to go on hols & back when we returned no difference except the quality of the roads is better in NI, our passports weren't asked for at either Belfast port or Cairnryan in Scotland. And now just a few weeks on it all changes.

I recall being on holidays in Donegal as a child & df wanting to visit NI if only just for the day & dm refused as she felt it was too risky Sad different times

SpaceKablooie · 25/06/2016 07:54

I'm glad I wasn't being too political when I posted.

This is going to have such a huge negative effect on everyone in the UK for such a long time. DH and I need to discuss this properly over the w/e - we were already considering moving back to Scotland, and this makes it more likely.

I can't believe that we've ended up here Sad.

8FencingWire · 25/06/2016 07:55

Haha, wrek, you really are very close by :)
girlie, good luck my dear, may your new home be filled with calm, kindness and laughter and that you'll be happy thereFlowers
Where I'm from, you're meant to light a pink candle in your new home for good luck:)
tayto, you weren't bold, you were looking after yourself. You know, in the northern countries, there's a special thing about friday nights, it's one for comfort food, watching telly wrapped in a blanket and snacking on crisps and nuts. It's to wind down after a week working, there's a name for it, but I forgot (and it's not 'getting pedGrin).

I really must do something about my weight. I have a stone on my thighs and belly, it's really not very nice at all!!!

WreckTangled · 25/06/2016 08:04

Oh really 8?! Traffic is bad already apparently and there's been an accident near the kennels.

8FencingWire · 25/06/2016 08:06

I'm going to weather this one, I'm staying in England till my DD is settled in her own home. I have an European passport (besides the British one) and a qualification that allows me to practise around the world, I speak 4 languages so I can jump ship but I am staying for Dd.

Ememem84 · 25/06/2016 08:07

Went out last night for dinner. Crispy squid and chorizo salad, pavlova sundae and a bright pink raspberry lemonade. Smile no wine. Smile

Am up and ready to go riding. So £25 today.

My washing machine is on and it making a hideous noise. May have to give it a clean...

wreck, I'm proper local, I don't leave the house or go away for those eventsGrin

WreckTangled · 25/06/2016 08:12

Ooo 8! I'm not completely local (between Midhurst and Haslemere) so if I wanted to go out I could go Surrey direction. I wonder if our paths have ever crossed in lidl Grin

8FencingWire · 25/06/2016 08:15

HAha! I'm there every thursday after work, I'm the one with a very shattered face filling the basket on an automatic pilotGrin

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/06/2016 08:25

Boden sale is starting.

PurpleRibbons · 25/06/2016 09:40

Ugh! DD was up at 5.45 this morning.
I am really, really regretting not remortgaging, we've been saying we're going to do it for ages but haven't got round to it.
If interest rates go up we're screwed.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/06/2016 09:51

Mortgage rates reportedly dipped yesterday, if you can check your mortgage balance online have a look and see what re-mortgage rates they offer.

Then ring London and county and see what they can offer. Moneysavingexpert always reccomend them plus it's all done over the phone.

PurpleRibbons · 25/06/2016 10:08

Thank you fluffy, will do that. Our own bank suggested they could do us a good deal too. Need to get in quick I think!

Ememem84 · 25/06/2016 10:08

Didn't go riding. All of a sudden felt very dizzy. And like I'm about to throw up so am lying on the floor in the bedroom trying to re-centre and not throw up

So next weeks lesson will cost me £35. But it wouldn't have been safe for me to drive to the stables let alone get on a horse. So right decision.

I'm very glad we fixed out mortgage. But am scared for what will happen in 2 years once we renew when the brexit deal should be finalised. Hmm

Enough of the referendum, anyways.

If you're posting calming stuff like that, then you can keep going. Grin It's doing my anxiety the world of good.

Will probably go to lidl/Tesco today, so not a NSD.

Haven't made enough use of the swimming membership this month so will probably try and make that pay for itself too.

babsmam · 25/06/2016 10:13

£97 in sainsburys. Fucking hell. Need to get into a proper aldi routine and hopefully lidl will reopen soon as their f&v is better

WreckTangled · 25/06/2016 10:15

WreckTangled · 25/06/2016 11:34

Dd has taken herself to bed saying she doesn't feel well Sad I'm hoping she's just tired and not getting ill!

WreckTangled · 25/06/2016 11:35

Hope you're ok now em? Do you usually suffer with dizziness?

Ememem84 · 25/06/2016 11:47

Nope wreck never usually suffered from it. It's very odd.

Everyone around me recently has had some sort of bug (cold flu sinuses etc) so it could be the starts of something. I've cancelled the rest of my plans just in case. Most of them involved me driving somewhere which although not as dizzy now I still don't feel capable of doing.

in bed with tea and magazines and books. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday I suppose

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/06/2016 12:09

£65 boden sale but got two tops and the Ruched skirt that will probably highlight my cankles so might have to send that back. That's my summer wardrobe sorted for years. I've gone capsule. White, navy and black with colour coming from shoes.

£2.98 top up shop. Doing curry tonight from the curry secret cookbook. There meant to be as good as a takeaway one but without the £20 price tag.

Flipping love takeaway curry.

babs there's rumours aldi will start an online service. It will make life so much easier if they do.

babsmam · 25/06/2016 12:12

Oh is the skirt back in stock. I've never got Boden but I like the look of the skirt.
I hope so fluffy, when the one opens even nearer me it will be easier

PurpleRibbons · 25/06/2016 12:31

Hope you are ok Em. Could you be pregnant? Actually bed, tea and magazines sounds like a wonderful way to spend Saturday.
Frugal fail, forgot I had a hair appointment so expect I'll have to pay double next time.

Ememem84 · 25/06/2016 12:44

purple noo def not pregnant. My teeth are still hurting now and the ever trusting dr Google has suggested that it may be a sinus thing.

So lots of water. Tv books and couch on the agenda for this afternoon.
