Sinus things are horrible. Take care and rest up Flowers

ipsogenix · 25/06/2016 14:31

That's a bit odd Em. I think I'd ask a GP about that. It's not something that they'd be able to diagnose immediately probably but it would be worth starting a dialogue about it and maybe keeping a symptom diary.

Ememem84 · 25/06/2016 15:20

I'm also putting it down to maybe coming off the pill. Things haven't been settled body wise for a while.

I seem to be prone to sinus infections when I'm stressed and rundown.

Cross posted with you, Em and didn't see your post. Hope you are feeling better.

Has anyone on tax credits ever tried to get a same year calculation done? Do you just phone up and ask? Last time I tried it went wrong so wondered if there was a trick to it.

1st pay check since my new hours and it's a bit of a surprise.

WreckTangled · 25/06/2016 15:42

The cat place near us have lots suitable for us as a family Grin it's £85 apparently which I know Dh will say is steep but I feel much more comfort in getting one from a rescue centre than someone on fbHmm

Thunder storm here again.

Em hope you recover swiftly.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/06/2016 16:12

That's lovely. It'll be neutered and vaccinated, hopefully microchipped, for that though.

WreckTangled · 25/06/2016 16:18

Yes it will! Just waiting for them to phone me back so we can arrange a visit. I think thy close soon though so might not get a call today Sad I am the most impatient person in the world!

Ememem84 · 25/06/2016 16:25

wreck oooh a cat!! Love cats. You are lucky!!

WreckTangled · 25/06/2016 16:29

We're going to have a look tomorrow Grin

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 25/06/2016 16:30

Envy I'd love a cat. Sadly, allergies make that not an option.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 25/06/2016 16:30

You know you're going to have to post pictures, right? Grin

WreckTangled · 25/06/2016 16:35

Yes I will definitely take photos! Someone at work is really allergic but she still has cats she says every time she kisses them her lips swell up Shock

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 25/06/2016 16:43
Shock

Not quite that allergic, but it sets my asthma off.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/06/2016 17:37

I think I'd stop kissing mine if my lips swelled up.

Dh has to use two inhalers now we have the cat.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 25/06/2016 18:40

Hi all, sorry to hear you are feeling ropey Em it might be hormonal - going onto the pill always makes me feel like crap so coming off I guess could have similar symptoms.

Wreck yay to getting a cat, mine cost me a fortune and are no end of worry but they are so worth it!! £85 for a cat this neutered, vaccinated and chipped is actually quite cheap, it cost at least £100 to do all that for each of mine.

Soooo I have been at my new house all afternoon Grin we have been very busy, my lovely dm has been busy sorting the garden out and shipping stuff across. My equally lovely df has been busy putting boards down in the loft so I can use it for storage. I have been sorting out the garden and packing/unpacking. Its all fab, it was the first time my df had seen the house and he was really impressed Smile

Am really tired now and still so much to do, ahh well will have a Brew first.

Have been very good recently and not had any spends other than food or petrol, as far as I can remember, since getting back from Menorca Shock

babsmam · 25/06/2016 18:49

Yey girlie. And girlie parents.
Hope an afternoon in bed helped em. You have had a pretty full on life lately

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/06/2016 18:51

He hasn't squashed your insulation has he?. Fil boarded their loft after British Gas lagged it throughout & then they wondered why the house was no warmer and the bills stayed high.

You need solid insulation for boarded lofts.

Currys off. I forgot to buy both the fresh ginger and garlic. Chicken in slightly spiced onion sauce didn't really appeal to either of us

WreckTangled · 25/06/2016 18:54

Yay girlie! I love your parents too they sound fab.

Oh no fluffy I was looking forward to hearing about the curry.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 25/06/2016 19:00

Exciting girlie. Have nice cup of Brew and put your feet up for a bit.

That's exactly the sort of thing I'd do Fluffy. I probably manage it about once a fortnight Blush

Ememem84 · 25/06/2016 19:02

feeling much better.

re-registered for netflix and have spent the afternoon on bed watching Pretty Little liars.

have drunk loads of water and have had a nap.

girlie lovely parents! i hope the new house is everything you dreamed of and more! xx

Depressing isn't it Rafa? Just when I think I'm a proper got my shit together adult.

PurpleRibbons · 25/06/2016 19:12

Pleased you are already enjoying your new house girlie and exciting about a cat wreck. My rescue cat it purring on my lap as I type!
fluffy it won't help you for now but I buy massive pieces of fresh ginger and cut it into portions then freeze. It peels more easily when frozen and I always have a supply. I also mince it up in the blender with garlic and chillies then freeze that in tiny portions for curries and stir fries.
Have managed a NSD. On a Saturday! Pleased with that.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 25/06/2016 19:16

My favourite one is when I look up a new recipe, and then go out specifically to buy ingredients for it and come back without half of them.

The fact that the local tesco metro that's in walking distance stocks a large range of pointless stuff but often doesn't have basic stuff doesn't really help. The large range of American produce is not much use when you want ginger or curry paste.

PurpleRibbons · 25/06/2016 19:36

Rafa I never read recipes properly so I am usually missing an ingredient or I start cooking it half an hour before dinner time and then find out it has to cook for 3 hours or something!

WreckTangled · 25/06/2016 19:38

Dd just said 'mummy I had some of your drink because I thought it was water but it wasn't it was fizzy and I didn't like it' (it was cider Grin)
