Indeed it is! Time flies!
Oh dear I'm not sure if I'll manage not scratching if I get a tattoo. I was thinking today that I might ask for a tattoo as my birthday present (I'm 30 in December [cries]).
I've done sod all (not even any more paper shredding!) since we got in. Lovely morning at a free home ed group, then park with some home ed friends, we did have lunch out though as we then dropped DH off at work so we could get his keys as I don't know where mine are
. Then we did some home ed work outside in the sunshine. I'm feeling a lot better about the lack of garden now the DCs are older and can safely play out. There's a block of flats on our street with grass by it that nobody uses, and the DCs have also made a den in the bushes there. They even took a table and chairs from the bins
which I didn't realise until today! But at least despite our lack of garden they do get a lot more space now. It was lovely learning about insect anatomy while lazing on the grass in the sunshine (and even better when a tiny green grasshopper landed on my arm! So cute). :)
Oh, we did go in the pet shop today though as there's one just by DH's work. Sooo tempted to buy a kitten. Looked just like one I nearly took home when I was a teen (but he was poorly and was PTS). Or a bearded dragon, because they're awesome. Not so much the tarantulas though.
In other news we reckon we've lost a tenner :( DH had it ready when we all left this morning to get a family pass, but then once we'd left (and couldn't get back in due to aforementioned missing keys) he couldn't find it and I can't see it anywhere at home. Bugger.
Right I reeeeally need to hang washing up and spruce up the living room a bit. Arranged a playdate tomorrow with a home ed newbie - he and DS have really hit it off, which says a lot as both boys struggle with making friends. And his mum offered to explain the tax return process to me. :)
