It's freezing here and I have complicated family members visiting, but I haven't spent any money. Being very good and self controlled. Smile

ipsos · 06/09/2015 08:50

btw, I went to staples yesterday to get two photos of said family members printed and they charged me 65p per photo (as shown in the price list), but then there was also a surprise "media fee" of £3 which appeared out of the blue after the photos were printed, when there was no way to turn back. Isn't that weird? I complained on the survey.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/09/2015 08:53

What's a media fee Confused

ipsos · 06/09/2015 09:07

The receipt said "cd/dvd/usb stick media fee". I think that means they charged me £3 for plugging my usb stick into the computer and 65p for opening and printing each of two photos. The professional print shop at the end of my road charges 50p per colour print, with no media fee.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/09/2015 09:33

Well I doubt you'll be using them again then.

Collieputthekettleon · 06/09/2015 10:18

ipsos that's terrible of Staples Angry

Ememem84 · 06/09/2015 10:41

So far today we've made a beef and beer stew in the slow cooker smelling amazing.

I'm baking a banana bread later and dh is making a beer bread to have with the stew.

Freezer is almost empty!

QforCucumber · 06/09/2015 10:55

That's awful as if they charge £3 for that! I use boots usually as their machine connects to my phone via bluetooth and prints direct - can't remember how much they charge but know I got them free once as noone was working who knew how to charge for them Hmm

northender · 06/09/2015 11:16

Haha fluffy you got in with the spin dryer comment before me!!
Happy birthday for yesterday pointless
Glad you're feeling better girlfriend
Welcome newbies Smile
Family weekend going okay (still not sure how much it's costing), DS struggling a bit, need to get him through the next few days and then hopefully it'll get easier. Thanks again for all the good wishes.
Dd back to school tomorrow, ds back on Tuesday, they're going to cut back on school dinners for a couple of months & take more packed lunches to save some money. It will take more thought and effort but will be worth it.

Girlfriend36 · 06/09/2015 11:34

Hi all, yay am feeling better! Plus it is a sunny day Smile so washing machine is on and first lot ready to go out!

Went out last night and spent £8, only had pudding at the restaurant which when I saw how much the other girls were spending was pleased i had decided to meet them there late! Couldn't have justified £30 plus on a meal this month.

Today have dds swimming lessons to pay for think its £60 for the term which will take her up to Christmas. No other spends though planned.

Ipsos that sort of thing really winds me up, just takes the micky!

AuditAngel · 06/09/2015 17:10

Unfortunately our dancing lessons gave had yo move venue. We now only have one hall instead of two, meaning the lessons will be shorter as running one after the other, rather than overlapping. And they are going up by £5 a half term. So £50 for one and a half hours twice a week, instead of £45 for 2 hours. Wonder how much DD2's will go up? Hers were previously £25 for one and a half hours once a week, now she'll get 1.25 hours.

Still very reasonable.

ohhelpohnoitsa · 06/09/2015 20:20
